The service is terrible. My friend had ordered a slice while with our other friends. Everyone received their order except her. When the guy serving came over, he had a random slice of cheese and a random slice of pepperoni. He then proceeded to say "Want any?" to which my friend asked about her chicken bacon ranch pizza. His response was "About that." and nothing else. We then saw him eating a slice of pizza in the back while making someone else's pizza. Ordered OIP delivery, had been a while since I'd gotten their pizza, but I remembered it being tasty, so I decided what the hey, why not. Delivery was right on time, and the pizza and wings were fantastic as expected. Got an order of mozz sticks too, and those were well packaged and tasty. Got a GF pizza for a family member who wanted it, and they gave it high marks too. My only reason for not giving this a full five five stars is the cost. Granted it's been probably a year or so since I ordered last, but it just felt like it was way more than I expected. Maybe that's me, maybe their prices really have gone up a lot, I can't speak to that. I can only say it was more than I had expected, or hoped to pay. Situated next to a Colonial Laundromat (as all locations are - still yet to figure out why), OIP is a local chain that boasts fresh made pizzas and char grilled wings. Most locations, when you walk in, have their counter right in front of the store along with their kitchen. You can watch their pizza makers toss around their fresh dough and throw them in the oven. Their locations are always bright and clean and nicely decorated. Onto the food. They use fresh made dough, sauces and ingredients. Being a self professed pizza and wings snob, I feel on the fence about their food. Some of it is really good...some of it is kinda bad. They have a great garlic sauce for their pizza. Garlicky, flavorful, exactly what you want from a garlic pizza. Their tomato sauce, on the other hand, is not good. It's just very plain and not flavorful. Their wing sauces are good, but can be overshadowed by their signature char grilling. Char grilling also has a tendency to dry out the meat, so while I'm a chicken wing purist, I have a habit of going for their boneless wings instead. Their boneless wings are HUGE, just large chunks of meat. It can get a tad pricy, but I've found their prices to be comparable to other fresh made pizza places. Service is usually always friendly. Overall, OIP is not the best, most authentic NY pizza in the CNY area, but they do have a couple good items, and I can't say I'm not guilty of having cravings for their boneless wings often. read more

Love OIP Chargrilled wings. Was here last week too. ( the basketball game on flat screen in main dining area.) He got 10 mango habanero chargrilled wings ( he loved.) I tried a custom Stromboli. ( eggplant and pepperoni) it was HUGE. took awhile but was worth it. Big breeze each time delivery person came/went. Seemed like we were annoyance to them as they walked past us. tonite ( Tues 1/13) it was an overwhelming smell of soap. Not pizza or wings! The personality challenged gal behind counter says "Oh I just washed tables". OMG if we weren't so set to be here I wouldn't have stayed. Both hubby and I got wings. OIP has delicious grilled wings... most times. To excel though, a restaurant must be consistent. OIP is not. One time they will be well seasoned, crispy and moist. The next time you'll receive some gigantic mutant wings that are tough, dry and lacking in flavor. The pizzas are normally good, but sometimes the bottom crust just doesn't hold up and your pizza slice flops and sad "womp womp womps" resonate in your head. Especially considering you paid twice or three times as much as most places... When it's good, it's good and a solid four stars. When it's not, it's a two tempting to become a one because of the cost benefit. The coupons are deceptive. All but two explicitly state they are for cheese pizza only. The remaining two simply say pizza. You don't get an itemized receipt when you pay. One is greased up on your box though. Seems a tad shady. A major annoyance with the Liverpool location is with its parking lot. You can only legally enter from one side of the street. The other has you crossing a double double yellow median. Liverpool police are vigilant so it's a gamble. Your 30 dollar pizza might become a 300 dollar pizza. Not cool. read more

Sometimes we order from here when we really want char wings. There are so many places to get pizza and wings around the Syracuse area. You really need to be top notch. One of the things OIP has going for it, is the flavors of their wings. Like the honey garlic and garlic parm. Both of these are really freaking delicious. The pizza is decent too. Although sometimes if its older, it looks much of its luster. Some of the issues I have with OIP is the cost is really high generally and the food can be pretty inconsistent. This happened on my most recent order when we ordered wings and they didn't taste charred at all. It was almost like the wings you would get at a grocery store heat lamp. That really bummed my wife out as it was her dinner. My pizza was decent, but something just felt like it was missing. The bacon on it was really tasty though, so props for that. The cost for pizza and wings with delivery was almost 30 bucks. That is on the higher end for delivery pizza. Ultimately we will eat here again, but I hope that the flavor is a little better and the wings are more charred. The char is like their trump card when it comes to their food. Waited over 35 minutes for a medium steak pizza, we ordered garlic knots but were told they didn't have any but then told they were making some. The kid at the counter asked multiple times what we were waiting for, and was completely clueless. 35 minutes later then our pizza sat on the shelf waiting for garlic knots which still weren't done. The food is tasty. Their char-grilled wings are delicious but, generally, not very meaty and a little bit pricey for what you get. The pizza tends to be rather greasy and thin but the flavor is good. Over all, the food is good but a little pricey. Now for the quality of service. We ordered delivery twice recently and both times we waited for an hour for the food to show up only to have the order be incorrect. They were good enough to send out the correct food but it meant an additional 30 minute wait each time. With our latest order we decided to pick it up to avoid any more delivery issues only to have another issue. Apparently they do not accept $100 bills even if your bill is in excess of $60. So, in short, the food is okay and has a tasty, unique flavor but the pricing is a little high. This was my first time ordering here. Ordered pizza and wings to be delivered. Was told to expect wait time of 45 minutes, which isn't abnormal. I gave my address 2 times as well as my phone number: I used a $5 coupon from a friend. When they took the coupon number I had to give them my address again because it didn't match who the coupon belonged to. Over an hour later no pizza so we called to see if there was an issue. It's ok, but I wouldn't really go out of my way to recommend it. With all the pizza shops around, eh there's better around. The crust was ok at best, the sauce lacked flavor, and the cheese was sporadic at the edges with the sauce exposed so it was baked and dried. Never one that can afford to go out me and my husband decided to splurge and we each got the steak sandwich with the works. Unfortunately they were not edible they were burnt. I can't believe they would send food out like that. Disgusting!! When I called there was no apology nothing. I stated that I wanted my money back they said they would give me a credit end of storey. We love the char grilled wings!! They usually taste charred , not too big of a wing and sauces are phenomenal. We know that we pay a little more than other pizza places in liverpool but it's something we look forward too- until tonight. I went to order a pizza, wings and a 2 liter for 19.99 as stated on their website page. They said it was not available anymore. So I asked why they haven't changed it on their website and she obviously didn't know and didn't care, as she wasn't going to merit it . So I was stuck buying a 2 med cheese pizza with 10 wings for 16.99 which is lousy compared to the special they didn't change and wont merit it.
