    OIPs boneless wings.
    Thomas C.

Situated next to a Colonial Laundromat (as all locations are - still yet to figure out why), OIP is a local chain that boasts fresh made pizzas and char grilled wings. Most locations, when you walk in, have their counter right in front of the store along with their kitchen. You can watch their pizza makers toss around their fresh dough and throw them in the oven. Their locations are always bright and clean and nicely decorated. Onto the food. They use fresh made dough, sauces and ingredients. Being a self professed pizza and wings snob, I feel on the fence about their food. Some of it is really good...some of it is kinda bad. They have a great garlic sauce for their pizza. Garlicky, flavorful, exactly what you want from a garlic pizza. Their tomato sauce, on the other hand, is not good. It's just very plain and not flavorful. Their wing sauces are good, but can be overshadowed by their signature char grilling. Char grilling also has a tendency to dry out the meat, so while I'm a chicken wing purist, I have a habit of going for their boneless wings instead. Their boneless wings are HUGE, just large chunks of meat. It can get a tad pricy, but I've found their prices to be comparable to other fresh made pizza places. Service is usually always friendly. Overall, OIP is not the best, most authentic NY pizza in the CNY area, but they do have a couple good items, and I can't say I'm not guilty of having cravings for their boneless wings often.

While…read moreit's typical to get the NY-style slice around here with thin, crispy crust and mounds of cheese, East of Chicago pivots a bit into the pan-style, deeper dish pizza which is a refreshing option. We have eaten here twice and both times we walked away with happy bellies and some new favorites. For our most recent visit, we ordered a sausage topped pan-style pizza along with their garlic cheesy bread. The staff working the counter were VERY friendly and welcoming when we came to pick up - very appreciated. Inside, it's small and there isn't a place to dine in, so you'll be doing take out here. Parking is on the street out front and seems to be available each time I roll by. The order took about 25 minutes to get ready and was available as promised when I picked up. The pizza was really buttery, soft, and just what you'd want from a deeper style pizza. The garlic cheese bread may have been the star of this order though. It was nice and garlicy, buttery, and cheesy...the way that GARLIC CHEESE BREAD should be :) We will be back!

The taco pizza from east chicago is one of my favorites. I am all about a ton of toppings and am never disappointed with that. It feels particularly worth the money and you're never left missing something on a bite. Crust is crispy. Service is a little slow, we always do takeout/pickup and its nearly always off by about 15-30 minutes in timing, even when we order online we are waiting that extra time after ordering. The inside is your typical pizza shop, and the workers are nice

I was recently in New York for an extended period of time...visiting my mom, family, friends. I…read morealways fly in and out of Syracuse bc 1) my brother lives in Cuse and can pick me up and 2) it's oddly cheaper (usually) than flying into Rochester. I have a sister in Rochester, but she always tells me to "uber it" I always feel the love when I wanna come home from her :-/ Anyway, this past trip, I flew up a little over a week ago and of course, out of Cuse. My brother wanted to treat me to a pizza and we couldn't decide where to go. I always prefer to try places people haven't been to yet. I like it to be a surprise for them as much it is for me. So we called several places. It was a Friday night, I flew out crazy early on Saturday. Naturally, pizza places on a Friday... always busy. Pizza places in a college town...even busier. Syracuse University keeps them busy as hell. Johnny Mac's. So I'm not sure how far or close it is to campus. It's a little bit of a drive from my brothers house. That turned out to be ok bc the wait was only 30 mins, maybe a little less tbh bc the pizza was SLIGHTLY cold when we picked it up. All the other places we called... hour and half for some, 2 hour wait for others. INSANE! For one pizza! Gurl, bye! So we went with this place. One of the best things for me was...my brother had never been. He took one bite and was like .... "It's so good!" Which made going here even better. And yes, the pizza was delicious. Even if slightly cold...it was still amazing and yeah..we have microwaves for a reason lol. The price was decent too. I wanna say $18 and change, if I remember correctly. Don't quote me on that. May have been slightly cheaper. Regardless, the pizza is fantastic and ya can't go wrong. If you've been, you know, if you haven't been, ya need to go. You won't be disappointed. It really is delicious. It's kinda of in a random spot, doesn't look like your typical pizza place, looks more like a little house lol, inside tho ... definitely pizza place vibes. I waited outside with my pup (saw the inside ...bc ya know, windows and stuff lol). It was in and out. Great place. Even tho I said I love to try new places, and I always do, I would absolutely have their pizza again. Wish I had something to say about the staff, but my brother was the one who dealt with them. Great place. I definitely recommend it. Thanks for reading, YelperMac'ers!!! Cheers!

Their delivery service is great, and seems to be in-house instead of through a third party. Only con is they're closed Mondays, but that's relatively normal, especially considering they're open Sunday. We really love this place, and hope they stick around for a long time to come.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about this place and I was in the area. So, when in…read moreRome... My order was their special of medium pizza and 10 wings. I opted for pepperoni topping and medium traditional wings (an additional price). I also prefer less sauce, so I ordered my pizza with less. On a Thursday afternoon around 130pm, it was only a 20 minute wait. So no complaints there. First off, the appearance, in my opinion, looked like a basic pizza. Almost looked undercooked if I didn't see the steam coming off it. So, at that point, I was expecting something very subpar. However, it was very good. It is a pretty thin pizza, so dont expect anything too thick. Amount of sauce was perfect, cheese was good and pepperoni had good flavor. One of my favorite parts of a pizza is the crust and that is where I got a little disappointed. Its fluffy with a slight crunch (which is perfect), but there wasnt much flavor to it. Now onto the wings. I kind of expect wings to not be crispy anywhere I go and this place was no different. The upside to it, the flavor of the medium was very good. However, it almost tasted like a mild sauce. The wing itself was very juicy and tender. Nothing special, but they were enjoyable with a slice of pizza. The parking lot is very small, so if you have a larger vehicle, maneuvering may be cumbersome. It is just a row of spots and 1 lane to drive along their building. Just something to consider if youre going at a busy time. The woman working was very nice and attentive to when I walked in. She was in the middle of moving boxes and came right up. So good customer service. I did have to call because on their app I was unable to select between boneless and traditional wings. But, they do have an easy to use app. Overall, I gave this 4 stars due to pizza not really standing out and wings not being crispy. I enjoyed it, but I dont think I would specifically seek this place out for my pizza and wing fix. I would not mind trying other things on their menu.

I was pretty new to adult life, good food, and pizza outside my small home town, but I remember betting it all on finding a hidden gem in this random place that nobody should think to go to. I was still forming my roots in Syracuse and wanted them to be interesting. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that was at least one restaurant ago. I noticed the name Amore coming up a lot on online discussion for great pizza, and when I finally looked it up, I was excited to realize it was my old favorite no-name pizzeria. We started with a pepperoni/garlic halvsie pizza and some Extra Hot Wings. For Extra Hot, the wings were kinda spicy. Great tasting sauce and great wings though. Not top tier, but better than average. The pizza though, that's top tier. Soft, thin, greasy, crispy, not too much of any of those things. Favorite pizzas are hard in a place like this, but this name always comes up now. Next time we ordered, we were feeling the Bang Bang Chicken pizza. It's not something you see on every menu, and the way it was notated on their menu inside made it seem like a point of pride for them. This pizza had all the same great qualities as the original, but the chicken and sauce took it a completely different direction. The sauce was right on par with good bang bang sauce, but their regular pizzas are so good I wouldn't deviate from them again. One thing that struck me funny was that they limit only their Phillys and nothing else from 11 - 3. I'd be interested to know why that is. I thought maybe it was just a lunch price, but I placed my order shortly after 3:00 and ordering a cheesesteak just wasn't in the stars. We scrambled and decided on Chicken Wing Dip and Loaded Fries. The wing dip was exactly the same dish 4 different people bring to every potluck and Super Bowl party, just equal parts cream cheese, buffalo sauce and chicken. When we ordered the loaded fries, we were thinking nacho cheese, but these had full on cheddar and bacon. We had them with ranch and sour cream, but between that and the wing dip, it was a lot. Doesn't matter. All is forgiven if they keep churning out those pizzas exactly the way we had them. These pizzas alone will keep me coming back.
