Strawberries and crème crepes; topping on the side
A P.

Try the blueberry crepes, strawberries and crème crepes, French toast and kielbasa. The English muffin (ordered a la Carte) arrived with rest of order (warm and tasty) was toasted but cold. Our server seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else but at work. We will be back for more crepes!

The food was great!! my eggs were exactly how I enjoy them, the turkey links were juicy! But let me tell you the orange juice is freshly squeezed definitely the best I sipped!! Everyone at my table enjoyed their food we definitely had to get Take out containers. The service was great also it was a Sunday so it was busy, but definitely got a table quick, so I was happy about that. The place was cozy and the aesthetic was beautiful most importantly it was super toasty because it is winter! Can't wait to enjoy breakfast again with my family here.

First visit here. Nice ambiance and the food was good, but 2 stars based on the actions of the waitress automatically selecting a 20% tip when paying the bill, and standing over my shoulder. Their website had no prices listed which I didn't like.

Brunch with family here on the 20th. Covid protocols followed, distancing and sanitizing. We had great food and super service. Our server, Rachel, guided us through the assembly of the Dutch Baby. I've eaten at OPH before, but first time on Union Rd and first time to try the Dutch Baby, which is the main reason for this review. If you've not had this delightful pastry, you are in for a treat. A tray of fixings is brought to the table while the "bowl" is being baked. Soft butter, powdered sugar, lemon wedges, sliced strawberries, small pot of strawberry sauce. The server will ask if you know how to put it together. Don't be afraid to say no. The assemblage is part of the experience, and I'm not telling how to do it.

Raspberry pancakes with fresh raspberries, raspberry sauce, whipped butter- and powdered sugar

The Original Pancake House is a local Western New York staple for breakfast. Depending on the weekend day and time, it can get fairly crowded and they will put your name on a wait list. We sat within five minutes upon arrival. They were fairly busy on a Sunday around 11:30AM and waited about five minutes before a server took our drink order. Afer drinks were served, our order was taken. I had ordered the raspberry pancakes that had fresh raspberries and a raspberry sauce on top and asked if I wanted whipped butter and powdered sugar on them as well. My fiancée ordered the french toast with the butter and powdered sugar as well. My son had the scrambled eggs with American cheese and a stack of buttermilk pancakes. I believe it is 6 that comes in the stack and they are decent sized. While we waited for food, the server was very attentive with drinks and making sure my coffee was topped off. Our food arrived and we all dug in and enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere is a family style sitdown and have plenty of table space. They do have both booths and tables that can be put together for larger parties. Most items are a-la-carte but they do have breakfast combinations that come with a few options. Overall I would recommend this establishment for breakfast and enjoy thir food!

French toast

Stopped in from our road trying to get home. Friends were a bit skeptical when we entered but when they received there food they apologized and stated how good the food tasted. One of my friends had the pigs in a blanket and kept commenting on the sausage used and how good it was. I had the French toast w/the eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast and split it w/my partner and still had food leftover to bring home. The French toast were really good. Perfectly cooked. They weren't soggy and had a slight crunch to the edges and were semi sweet. So good!!! Coffee not so good but otherwise everything was great and cheap. Servers were friendly and made sure to top off coffee without being asked.

Strawberries and cream crepes are phenomenal. Prices are a little high, nice classic diner feel.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

We came here for lunch because we seen so many great reviews but man, what a disappointment. The…read morebar area was nice, but the service and the food was not as everyone else described. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.

The craziest part about it is that Winfield's Pub is literally just 10 minutes from my House. A conveniently small place that packs big Bold Flavors. Like as you are driving down Ridge Road towards the main Lackawanna area. A place that if you want to enjoy, you'd have to park in front of it or park on the Side Streets of the neighborhood across from it and walk over. After trying out their Food at a Stillwater Farm Dinner consisting or Birria Tacos and Sausage stuffed Chicken Breast. To me that was a nice welcoming Card telling me to come right away instead of wasting more time ignoring the Place. You walk up 3 Steps and in you are greeted by the Owner's wife Sherryl, the Owner and the Head of Winfield's (Tab Daulton) is running the show making sure food gets pumped out of their Small Kitchen. While their son Thomas is at the Bar making Cocktails of the highest Quality with some of the most unique names that I've ever heard. My 1st visit was enjoying a Birthday Dinner with loved ones in the center of the Restaurant. While going over the menu, I had my 1st Cocktail called The Ghostwriter in a tall cylindrical glass that had Gin, Herbal Liqueur, Coconut, Lime, Lemongrass Syrup & Dill. Sweet and Herbaceous. Next up was some Fresh made Focaccia Bread studded with Rosemary, Garlic, Tomatoes and Zucchini that was so Warm and Flavorful like it just came right out the Oven. You know I like to drink Beer and cook with it too, I couldn't help but get myself a cup of their Beer Cheese soup with Bratwurst and Housemade Croutons. Every single Spoonful I took was Rich with a hint of Spicy heat at the end. Next up was a plate off Duck Confit Poutine with Goat Cheese (I opted for that instead of Cheese Curds). You might look at it and see a big globby mess but what I saw and what I ate was pure Gluttonous Heaven. French Fries, bits of Rich and Tender Duck Meat and mild and Tangy Cheese which equaled a comforting Bite. Next was another Cocktail I got called the Dirty Harry (named after one of Clint Eastwood's best-known roles). Another drink that hit hard consisting of Pineapple, Doctor Bird Rum, Boomsa Herbal Liquor and Banana Shrub Jam. While waiting for my main course, I tried some of Nathan's BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends. Who doesn't like tender Pieces of Meat with the outside bring Crispy while the Meat inside just melts away on your Tongue. For our Entrees, everyone enjoyed something different like Nathan and Brianna having Seared Chicken with Vegetables, Mike enjoying a Burger, Rick just getting a few Appetizers, Grandma Carol eating Fish Tacos, Jimmy and Kathy enjoying a Steak. While I got myself Seared Scallops over Sweet Corn Risotto with Tarragon. This looked to me and ate like a Summer Dish, why on earth was it on the Menu during close to Fall/Winter, I don't know. But I'll say this, I loved every bite, you get Sweetness from both the Seafood and the Corn with the Tarragon at the end giving it a light hit of Licorice. Thomas kindly gave me a Complimentary Drink while waiting for Dessert called the Legislation #2. It had Rye Whiskey, Dry Vermouth, Orange Cognac and Acidic Phosphate. While it had all those Ingredients, it was a simple looking Drink with a Jurassic sized Ice Cube in it. But I will say this, this drink packed one heck of a Potent Punch. To finish off the Meal, I got myself a big slice of Guinness Chocolate Cake. One of my favorite Beers has been Transformed into a Dessert. It had such a Deep chocolate Flavor with richness from the frosting packed in between each layer. I walked over and personally thank Tab and his Crew for the great Food that night. The only issue we had was waiting to get our Checks, but other than that everything went great. Another one to cross off my list, another restaurant that I will no longer Ignore. Winfield's better be ready for some more Visits from me in the Future. !!!

That can often mean high noise…read morelevels as others have noted, modern restaurant construction seems to put acoustics at the bottom of the priority list. That said, I did not find it overly loud, just loud enough where you had to raise your voice slightly. Enough about that. Johnson's Landing has a Lenten fish fry special, $20 for a full fish fry with sides, and this includes one of their specialty beers. This is a good deal to get a craft beer included with your fish fry. I actually ordered it to go and enjoyed the beer while waiting for the fish to take out. It was a very solid fish dinner, the batter was crispy, not oily. The fish was fresh, all of the sides were good, even the rye bread was a nice hearty thick cut of rye. The mac salad featured tuna, which I do like. And the fries were hot and tasty. The fish itself was not huge but was big enough for us. Every component of the fish fry dinner was on point. The barmaid was efficient and friendly, I did not have to wait. My only complaint is that they do not list beer prices on their menu, which was fine this time since it was included with the meal, but would prevent me from enjoying a stop on the way home for a beer or two. I think it is a sneaky practice, but strangely I do note prices on their website, and guess what? All draft beers are $8 including Labatt Blue Light, unless the website is now outdated. ($8 for Labatt's!! Holy Moly!) I can see why it is not on the printed menu. I really don't like when there is not full price transparency, thus four stars instead of five. However I wholeheartedly endorse the value and quality of the Lenten fish fry special.
