I have taken many trips to L.A. and I have yet to make a stop at Tommy's. Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers was founded in 1946 by Tom Koulax and started out as a food stand on the northeast corner of Beverly blvd and Rampart blvd. The original location still stands today and I have driven by it on a number of occasions. There are several locations across Los Angeles and a few in Nevada. This location was near my hotel in Burbank, so I thought I would give them a shot. Customer service wasn't bad. Tommy's Original has a walkup counter on the outside of an "A" framed building and had a few people in line when I arrived. It moved quickly and I order the classic Chili Cheeseburger and Fries. Tommy's is famous for their chili burger and dogs. The burger itself wasn't bad, just really messy. I think I would enjoy it more late night after a couple of drinks. Parking here is mostly on the side of the road.

It had been awhile since one of our So Cal visits included a Tommy's stop. Never disappoints and is always consistent. This time I had the chili tamale , it includes pickles, diced onions, and sliced tomatoes. Also added chili cheese fries. The rest of the fam ordered chili cheeseburgers which come with mustard, pickles, tomato slices, and diced onions. We ordered it to go but they have a few outdoor tables available to eat there. Just love it, even ordered a bucket of chili to bring home!! Yum yum yum

Growing up in So CA, Tommy's has been an all time favorite. Now that we live in Northern NV, my first stop on visits to So CA is usually to get my fix! I went to the Burbank location yesterday while on a day work trip to So CA before I had to hop on my flight home. As it's been awhile since I've visited, I decided to go for a second burger! It might have been too much but it was so good! Follow their Facebook page for weekly savings and offers at all their locations. The Burbank location only offers walk up window ordering. There is ample parking on San Fernando Blvd and behind the shack. Ownership, if you are reading this, I'm the one who emails, calls or FB messages pleading to open a location in Northern NV. If you pay well, I will even manage it for you! :) Many So CA people have moved to this area and know your brand. We would love for you to expand your So NV locations in the Sparks/Reno area. Pretty please, with lots of chili on top!

Haven't been to Tommy's since I was basically a teen but decided to have lunch here the other day since my bf and I were in the area and he also hasn't had it before! Parking lot is SUPER tiny but we managed to get a spot before it got really busy. They have outdoor seating only, thankful there's shade, but it's almost like on a driveway so the tables and seating are all slanted. Since it's outdoors, it was also a bit dirty. We ordered our food and I grabbed a slanted table to sit on while my bf waited for our food. Scary to think about sitting on these and having your food slide right off if you sit on the wrong side.. The man who ordered in front of us seemed to be a frequent customer and very angry. He had to make sure the worker knew to add the chili on top rather than the bottom, like the photo suggests. It seemed like an ongoing problem or maybe someone keeps messing up his order somehow. As I was sitting, which is on the side of the building but also by their back door which they keep open.. I heard the workers laughing and talking about that customer and his order. It almost seemed like they were purposely messing up his burger.. not very nice but also do they not realize that the door is open and everyone can hear them? Quite rude and what if the customer was still around? Seems like a bad and messy situation overall. We were here around noon on Sunday 3/23/25. Food was great and came out quick. Didn't like the tomato or pickles on my chili cheese dog, seemed a bit weird and unnecessary? The chili cheese dog was also loaded with chili so it felt like a lot, almost too much to be honest. I should've just went for the chili cheese fries since I wasn't very hungry to begin with but also didn't think it would be massive. The double chili cheese burger was also very messy but I guess that comes with the territory, at least my bf enjoyed it overall. Good food but a lot. Prices were right and good for the amount you get. Very filling! IG: @ammysalamii

Here is the Chili Dog with grilled onions topped with all the garnishments. Absolutely delicious? Add the Yellow peppers and WOW, what a combination. Tommy's has been a staple in Los Angles for as long as I can remember. If you wish to experiment: Get the Chili cheese fries with grilled onions and all the toppings.

Great customer service. The man behind the counter taking my order was super friendly and likable. 27th of July before 5pm. The man who offered me my food too was very polite. The tables were clean and no trash anywhere. The amount of shade was great and the parking lot had a good amount of spots. Without asking for a fork the man offered it. My food didn't satisfy me and I'm not a fan but I'll keep it a solid 3/5 Favorite spot for chili cheese fries is The Hat in Simi Valley or Pasadena.

The place to go when craving chili! If you are only going to pick one item off this menu, make it an order of chili cheese fries! So good.

Got the Breakfast Sandwich with some Crispy Fries, a side of Chili's and an Arnold Palmer. It was good, convenient, searea. quick and it was just across the street for where I was. I love the old school A-Frame building. Can't complain!!! I would return if I was in the area. Enjoy!!!

Original Tommy's is absolutely a must-visit to experience the LA late-nite food scene. It is unique to say the least. The original in Hollywood at Beverly and Rampart is the mecca, but this location rocks the calssic menu when you are in Glendale/Burbank and need a fix. For any true food lover, this will be a category by itself. ! They feature a limited, but creative menu that they will do their best to make your burger 'your way. the fries are to die for as well. No alcohol, there is a dive bar accross the street for that though. The eclectic atmosphere in line will be a story to tell as well. a true LA original.

I stopped by this Original Tommy burger place this morning because I saw their Instagram stories deal on the Double Classic California burger. I was already across the street getting something for my parents so it just made sense to stop by here. I came in the morning so finding parking in the back parking was easy since I came right when they open. I showed the person taking my order the Instagram stories and he honored the price. I also got French fries on the side to finish my order. It didn't take long for my order to be ready and I left to eat it at home. They have some seating here if you're planning on eating here. I thought my burger was delicious but the fries seem very plain. Usually the fries are good here but it was plain today.

    Classic double chili cheese burger!

But Over/Under has a distinct advantage with its cozy, sports bar feel and friendly staff. The booths are comfortable, the booze selection is ample, and there are a whole bunch of TV's for watching games. Our server, Chelsea, was a very good egg; funny and very helpful with suggestions re the menu and various drinks. She checked on us repeatedly, and made sure we had all we needed. My wife ordered a Gummy Bear Shot that was tart and sweet and very enjoyable. On the food side, the menu is filled with the greatest hits of casual, sports bar foods, but all kicked up several notches and more interesting than the usual. My wife ordered the Truffle Burger, replete with onions and mushrooms and cheese. The trappings were all very tasty, and the burger itself was packed with flavor, and came cooked to a very proper medium rare. The side of lemon-pepper fries were hand cut and crispy, though the citrusy tang wasn't my thing. A tad less successful was my Pastrami Sandwich. The meat, listed as house-made, had good flavor but was tough. The kale slaw with it also had good flavor, and the slight bitterness was a nice foil for the rich pastrami. Onion rings were excellent, and (regardless of the lemon-pepper) the better bet as a side. All in all, this is a great, comfy place with a good menu and a really welcoming staff. I'd go back in a heartbeat to try the wings and pizza, both of which looked excellent when delivered to neighboring tables.

It felt like the food quality has gone down from the time when they first opened. Maybe the sauce was overpowering the meat and cheese? Maybe the meat got cold too fast? Something didn't feel right. The more I took a bite, I just wasn't satisfied. The fries were slightly on the soggy side vs crispy. Maybe I should've asked to cook longer?
