    Shrimp quesadilla
    Malou T.

First time to try out this latest addition to the food court at Burbank Media Center Mall. Service has been really good. The open atrium dining area gives a lovely vibe. My shrimp quesadilla was delightful and delicious. My hubby's carne asada burrito was consumed with gusto in a few seconds. Good food!

Service was great and food was just okay. I just didn't like the false advertisement part, no blue corn tortillas and my shrimp quesadilla didn't look like the one on picture lol.

The food was delicious and everyone so nice! Will definitely come again! Love that they offer grilled shrimp and battered since I love the grilled for my kids.

I stopped by a few days before Thanksgiving to buy meat for my Assyrian Stew and found the line in the back. I was surprised at how quickly it moved. The meat department in the back has the best cuts of beef, pork, chicken and more. They also have salads, sandwiches and hot food to go. They have a freezer aisle with Jeni's ice cream! Yum! I noticed baked goods by local bakers and a section with a nice variety of seasoning. *The staff here are very friendly and helpful *Parking Lot

Handy Market has been around longer than I've been alive. It was founded in 1970 and upon entering,…read moreit certainly feels dated but there's something to be said about all the colorful and varied produce that's neatly displayed down its narrow aisles, almost like a Wes Anderson film. Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.

Unique. Tasty as hell. Friendly/fast service. What more could you want?…read more Came here with friends and had some good food. All of us had something different. One of us had the loaded fries, one of us had the pocket burger, the other one had the regular smash burger and I had the croissant chicken sandwich. All of them were fantastic. If you want the chicken get it with the croissant like it was recommended to me. If you want something unique and on the sweeter side (the bun is Dutch crunch) then get the pocket, but if you want a good ol smash burger get the OG. Highly recommend getting them with their house made sauce. Their fries were perfectly crispy. Delicious. Also got their strawberry milkshake which was phenomenal. A few tables inside with street parking all around. Make sure to alot for time if you're meeting someone there as parking can take a hot second. All in all chill place, good service, tasty burgers.

Mouth Smashed keeps it simple--and that's exactly why it works. We got the triple smashed burgers. The patties are thin, crispy on the edges, and packed with flavor thanks to that perfect smash on the griddle. Each bite has that ideal balance of juicy beef, melty cheese, and a slightly toasted bun that holds everything together without getting soggy. If you're adventurous, get the pocket style chicken sandwich. It comes out piping hot and crunchy. Their house made chili and wedges are also really good. What really stands out is the consistency. Whether you go classic or add-ons, the flavors are clean and intentional--nothing feels overcomplicated. The seasoning hits just right, and the sauce adds a subtle tang that elevates the whole burger without overpowering it. The vibe is very great: low-key, no-frills, but quality-focused. It's the kind of spot you go to when you just want a really good burger done right--no gimmicks, no distractions. End your meal with the salted caramel shake and you're in heaven at that point. Bottom line: the Mouth Smashed Burgers delivers exactly what a smashburger should be--crispy, juicy, and crave-worthy. Definitely a must-try if you're exploring the burger scene in LA. Parking is a little difficult as it's in a very bus area. Service is great and the owner is really nice.
