Went to Burbank to check out The Mouth. They specialize in pocket style cheeseburgers that remind me of hot pockets. I was able to try a few items there and the owner Armen explained the menu to me. I got the chicken fries, smash burger, pocket style cheeseburger and salted caramel shake. Chicken fries came with waffle fries that were golden brown and fried to perfection. You need to be there to hear the crunch of each bite. It was smothered in house spicy sauce, pepper jack cheese, purple cabbage and chicken breast. It came with extra sauce on the side as well. Order a side of chili cheese as well you won't regret it. The smash burger had the softest pillowy buns I've ever had. The patties were thin with crispy skirts. It was not greasy or heavy as well. The star of the show was the pocket style cheeseburger. It was Dutch crunch bread for the casing with patties inside. It was steaming hot when I cut into it. I tried a few burgers: the double Smashburger, the pocket Smashburger, the pocket chicken burger, and the croissant bun burger. The Mouth's version hit perfect. Light, flaky, and a solid touch after sampling so many other items. Now the Smashburger? If it had missed, I'd be highly disappointed but it didn't. In fact, it was one of my favorite smashburgers to date. Easily top three. And the pocket burger? That one was a first for me: a burger fully enclosed in the bun. The owner explained it's designed that way to hold heat for anyone traveling with it. I loved that touch because soggy burgers are the worst. The fries deserve a mention too. The owner personally designed the cut so they're easy to dip into his chili-cheese mix, which was fire. They asked if it was our first time here and when we said "yes" they automatically were kind enough to give us a breakdown of all the menu items. We ordered two combos, one spicy chicken sandwich and one double smash cheeseburger and they were both very good. We ordered the loaded burger fries, a traditional burger, a pocket burger, and some chili fries. The food was delicious. Pocket burger was my favorite, but it was all so good. Now, my caveat is this. There was one family eating when I arrived, and one person who picked up a small door dash order. When I ordered he said give us 5-6min. 17 min later my food was ready. So 1. Don't over promise something you can't deliver. 2. I worry how this place will be able to meet an efficiency when they get busy. But ... the food and service were worth more visits. Lastly, in general parking sucks in this area. My advise is to park at Vons on pass and take a 3 min walk, or park further east down on Riverside. They do have decent amount of seats for as small as the space is. read more

This is a small little spot with some seating. Parking is terrible you would be better off ordering to go and bring someone who can run in and get the order. Ordered the pocket style double burger added bacon. Burger fries I ordered well, and a order of chill cheese dip. The burger was dry and I didn't see or taste any sauce on it. The burger didn't have any seasoning, They did give burger sauce on the side and I was glad because it definitely needed it. Burger sauce is good. Chilli cheese dip is alright! Staff was nice and friendly service was good. With all the new burger places within the area, I would probably try a new one then circle back to this one again. read more

Found this great smash burger spot on the corner of Riverside and Pass. The vibe of this burger spot is amazing. Loved all the art on the walls the second I walked in. Place is clean and staff super friendly and nice. I tried their croissant and smash cheeseburger also the pocket style chicken sandwich. (My personal favorite) Loved the milk shakes too goes great with the fries and burgers. Parking can be a little tricky so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend this place! read more

10/10 burger spot! Not sure where to begin with how great this place was. Immediately, the service was amazing. I believe the owner was taking the orders and making the food with such an incredible, lively attitude. He even cut our burger in half because he knew my mom and I were splitting it! The food was INCREDIBLE. Yes, the pocket burger is as good as you think it is and I will 100% be coming back for the pocket chicken sandwich! Salted caramel shake was creamy and delicious and their fries are perfectly cooked "chips" but not the thin burnt kind you usually get at bars and other places. They're thicker with a crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Great looking place, parking wasn't bad for LA. Absolutely Delightful, check it out!! read more

So there I was wanting to find a new place the family hadn't been to and up pops "The Mouth" intersted in the name I clicked and that was murder she wrote LOL... Seriously the pocket burger sparked my biggest interest, what was a pocket burger, what would it taste like, would I like it? I will say that all those questions were answered on our visit and much more!!! Before I get to the food I will say that the Husband and Wife Duo were amazing!!! The greet you with smiles and engage you right away answering the many questions I had on there menu!!! Probably the coolest owners of an establishment I have met to date!!! Now to the food... We ordered the following Double Smash Burger combo with a Chocolate Milkshake, Pocket Double Cheese Burger with fries, Crossiant Chicken Sandwich and a Single Smash Burger we did get to try thier Chili Cheese and WOW!!!! Lots of food, lots of flavors, lots of walking after LOL!!! The Food was outstanding the Pocket Burgers was so different almost refreshing a burger that is all self contained and doesn't make a mess... The Smash Burger exploding with flavor and the Crossiant Chicken Sandwich well it was so good that I had to add it to my Top 5 list of Best Chicken Sandwiches!!!
