If you're in Los Angeles and haven't tried Mouth Smashed Burgers, you're missing out on one of the most satisfying smashburger experiences in the city. Mouth Smashed keeps it simple--and that's exactly why it works. We got the triple smashed burgers. The patties are thin, crispy on the edges, and packed with flavor thanks to that perfect smash on the griddle. Each bite has that ideal balance of juicy beef, melty cheese, and a slightly toasted bun that holds everything together without getting soggy. If you're adventurous, get the pocket style chicken sandwich. It comes out piping hot and crunchy. Their house made chili and wedges are also really good. What really stands out is the consistency. Whether you go classic or add-ons, the flavors are clean and intentional--nothing feels overcomplicated. The seasoning hits just right, and the sauce adds a subtle tang that elevates the whole burger without overpowering it. The vibe is very great: low-key, no-frills, but quality-focused. Went to Burbank to check out The Mouth. They specialize in pocket style cheeseburgers that remind me of hot pockets. I was able to try a few items there and the owner Armen explained the menu to me. I got the chicken fries, smash burger, pocket style cheeseburger and salted caramel shake. Chicken fries came with waffle fries that were golden brown and fried to perfection. You need to be there to hear the crunch of each bite. It was smothered in house spicy sauce, pepper jack cheese, purple cabbage and chicken breast. It came with extra sauce on the side as well. Order a side of chili cheese as well you won't regret it. The smash burger had the softest pillowy buns I've ever had. The patties were thin with crispy skirts. It was not greasy or heavy as well. The star of the show was the pocket style cheeseburger. It was Dutch crunch bread for the casing with patties inside. It was steaming hot when I cut into it. The bread was crunchy and the meat was juicy. I liked how mess free eating this was. I washed it down with a salted caramel shake. It is made with real ice cream and surprisingly not very sweet. Dip your waffle fries in here too! Parking can be found on the street and there are a lot of other local spots nearby to walk and check out too. There were plenty of seating inside and the owner and staff is very nice.

Upon arriving the place was pretty packed on a Monday afternoon. Armin took our order and he was bustling and doing his best to service everyone that was in line. He had a great sense of urgency and I really appreciated that. We got the double smash burger, croissant cheeseburger, the pocket style cheeseburger, and the chicken fries. Double Smash Burger - 5/5 tastes how you would expect it! The burger patties were perfectly flattened and crispy with the cheesy adding that extra depth of flavor! Croissant cheeseburger - 5/5 the croissant just adds that extra buttery and fatty flavor to the entire bite. It's the double smash burger on steroids! Pocket style cheeseburger - 5/5 think of it as hot pocket on steroids. The outer layer completely holds together the foundation of what that smash burger is but because it is made holding everything together the burger itself keeps everything hot/warm up to 30 minutes. It is a great option for takeout if you cannot eat it right away. The chicken fries - 5/5 lots of pickles that helps balance all heaviness. The fries are not standard fries but sliced up potatoes that are fried, topped with their house sauce, cabbage, chicken and pickles! Chicken was perfectly moist and all ingredients balanced together with the savory and vinegary flavor from the pickles. We also got the salty caramel shake and that was to die for!!! 5/5!! Great end to a heavy and savory meal with the balance of saltiness and sweetness. It was not overly sweet at all! I highly recommend it!
Parking: Street parking in the area wasn't too difficult on a Sunday afternoon. Vibes: Fast casual with cool artwork on the walls for the comic book ambience and plenty of seating. Service: Really friendly staff and they remembered my reference for no pickles nor cheese as well. Croissant burger: I was most excited to try this and it did not disappoint - the butteriness of the buns lent such good flavor with the beef patties! Smashburger: The first thing I noticed on my first bite was how well seasoned and flavorful the meat is and enjoyed the crispness of the smashed patty - also love the grilled onions it came with. UFO Pocket-style burger: This was SO unique, as the Dutch Crunch bun fully encased the burger to retain the juices and I kept marveling at the perfect outer toastedness of the bun. Vanilla milkshake: Great consistency, not overly thick nor overpoweringly sweet and paired very well with the burgers. Chicken loaded fries: Chip style fries was a smart way to get the special house spicy sauce, chicken, and slaw stacked together in one delicious bite - didn't feel greasy or heavy at all. The sauce has a foundation of Thousand Island but what I enjoyed was an underlying savory note that gave it a lot of depth. Overall, was really impressed with the unique and creative options here that were very well executed and memorable!
This place has such unique takes on burgers from smash burgers to pocket burgers! We got a little bit of everything but was blown away by the diversity in the menu! This location is its own little restaurant with lots of seating and street parking, plus a bathroom! What we got: smash burger (8/10) burger fries (9/10) pocket burger (10/10) strawberry milkshake (7/10) Our favorite was definitely the pocket burger! It was so much food, like actually mouth watering and super filling!! You should def check out The Mouth in LA! plus the service and vibes were wonderful
First off, parking around these parts is absurd. Yes, there's an adjacent paid lot right next to The Mouth, but if you like free like me, trying to find street parking here is like navigating through the seventh circle of hell. I suspect it's because of that five-star French bakery right next door, among other popular spots right on this block. Having said that, if you just happen to clear that hurdle, what you'll find in this corner eatery is a solid AF smashburger. Not quite the best, but a lot better than most. They follow a pretty standard recipe for a smashburger: pickle, sauce, cheese. But the meat is what stands out just a little more: Nicely crisped and just a hint of spicy smoke. And I really liked their sauce. It's not too tarty like many other burger sauces. Their fries aren't typical either. They're cut like thick potato chips. Different, and not bad at all. As stated, very solid burger. Got the double and I was pretty satiated. They have a triple, but I wanted to walk back to my car, not waddle. Good stuff!
Delicious and unique burgers! Everything I tried here was incredible. The pocket burger was super fun and tasty. Loved the triple smash as well. Definitely do not skip the chicken fries. Everything here is made fresh to order and you can really taste the quality! The owners are the nicest people. Definitely check this spot out!

Ordered the double smash on a regular potato bun; super solid smash burger. The patty was juicy with those perfect crispy edges from a good smash. Their sauce was unique and stood out. It was slightly peppery and tangy; different in a good way. Everything was balanced, the cheese, meat, and condiments all came through without competing. I also ordered a side of pickled jalapenos to add a little acid (and heat) to cut through the grease. It does lean a bit oily and greasy, but that's kind of the point with a smash burger so it works. Service was friendly, which always helps. They've got some interesting options too like croissant burgers, "pocket" burgers, and chicken sandwiches, so I'd come back to try more. The branding feels a little all over the place, but I liked the comic book style art and the bar seating had a nice vibe. Overall a good experience and I would definitely go back.
LA, I've got another hit for you--another Smashburger spot. I stopped by The Mouth in Burbank today after sending a post I'd seen to a friend. We were both hyped to try it, and I figured today was the day. Let me tell you, we left more than satisfied. When I do reviews, five stars isn't just about the food. Service, atmosphere, and sometimes even the story behind the food can push it to that level. The Mouth had all of it. They're in a nice part of Burbank, which already made for a good vibe walking up. Inside, the walls are adorned with amazing artwork. big shoutout to the artist and visionary behind it. The owner was there too, full of energy and clearly passionate about what he's building, and you can taste that in the food. I tried a few burgers: the double Smashburger, the pocket Smashburger, the pocket chicken burger, and the croissant bun burger. The Mouth's version hit perfect. Light, flaky, and a solid touch after sampling so many other items. Now the Smashburger? If it had missed, I'd be highly disappointed but it didn't. In fact, it was one of my favorite smashburgers to date. Easily top three. And the pocket burger? That one was a first for me: a burger fully enclosed in the bun. The owner explained it's designed that way to hold heat for anyone traveling with it. I loved that touch because soggy burgers are the worst. The fries deserve a mention too. The owner personally designed the cut so they're easy to dip into his chili-cheese mix, which was fire. I also grabbed the strawberry shake (pretty sure it had real strawberries in it) and it was on point. All of the sauces were tasty across the board. Final verdict: 10/10. Highly recommend. Shoutout to The Mouth--you'll definitely see me back soon.
Food 3.5/5: croissant was really well made with perfect crispiness, but the burger itself as well as the fries were way too salty for me. If they put way less salt, I think this place would be a hit for a long time. The sauces were great, especially the sauce that goes with chicken sandwich (pink one). We also got strawberry shake, and it was very delicious but I think it was a bit too sweet for me. Owner did say croissant is best if you eat at the restaurant as its crispiness will go away when you get it delivered. Service 5/5: owner was there and his enthusiasm blown us away lol He explained each item on the menu well and his welcomeness made me want to give him 5 stars here. They truly deserve a shout out lol Energy was unmatched. Ambiance 5/5: a quick dine-in atmosphere!
Been here twice already. On my second visit, I was able to meet Armen, the manager. His customer service skills were outstanding and that's probably why the store is doing well. In both occasions, we have ordered pretty much the same items. The double smash cheeseburger, traditional chicken sandwich and the most popular item, the pocket style burger. We had tried the loaded chicken fries and chip style fries. I also love the salted caramel shake which I had on both visits. The store is decorated by colorful murals. There are ample seats inside. Oh, we fit it in our mouth! Barely! We got the triple cheeseburgers, and they were incredible. My first time having a real Smashburger! The char was excellent! I just loved it. And the french fries with the chili cheese sauce is amazing. You definitely need to level up your french fries by adding that chili! It's super affordable as well! You get what you pay for and then some. The atmosphere is awesome and the guys that worked there were super great. So friendly and fun to hang out with. Unique. Tasty as hell. Friendly/fast service. What more could you want? Came here with friends and had some good food. All of us had something different. One of us had the loaded fries, one of us had the pocket burger, the other one had the regular smash burger and I had the croissant chicken sandwich. All of them were fantastic. If you want the chicken get it with the croissant like it was recommended to me. If you want something unique and on the sweeter side (the bun is Dutch crunch) then get the pocket, but if you want a good ol smash burger get the OG. Highly recommend getting them with their house made sauce. Their fries were perfectly crispy. Delicious. Also got their strawberry milkshake which was phenomenal. A few tables inside with street parking all around. Make sure to alot for time if you're meeting someone there as parking can take a hot second. DELICIOUS!! All of the burgers were sooooo good. I got the triple burger with everything on it. It was so big and tasty. Our group tried all of the different buns they offered. Everything was wonderful. The fries were nice and crispy and so good to dip in the side of delicious chili!! Oh man, i forgot about the shakes!!! Made with real ice cream and worth every sip. I highly recommend this place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every minute there. Across the street from Warner Brothers studio. Easy to walk to. read more

The reviews intrigued me, so I thought I'd give it s try. Not at all a fan of the name of the place. Just personal preference, but it's kinda creepy. Whatever, though. Parking is a nightmare, and had to find a space around the block - on a SUNDAY! Ugh! Placed an order for pick-up and it was ready, as promised, in 25 minutes. Not much interaction with the crew, but they were fine. Interior was clean but felt a little stifling. I am not sure I'd be extremely comfortable eating there. We both got their pocket-burger and it was really good. A little on the dry side, but their sauce helped and was tasty. It was very much like a smash burger empanada. It didn't jump to the top of my burger list, but I would definitely return and recommend. read more

Currently on a smash burger craze and was told this place has some pretty good burgers. Came here on a tuesday late afternoon and it wasn't busy at all! We were greeted by the staff and they were attentive. I got a Single smash while my partner got the Double. Personally, I felt that the burger was slightly oversalted but my partner said the Double was fine so maybe it was just my burger. Aside from that, it was delicious. Their fries are uniquely cut and definitely not commonly seen at burger joints. Overall rating: 7/10 read more

Simple place, simple menu, awesome burger with massive amounts of taste. Maybe it was my state of mind at the time, but I just wanted something simple. I walked in to a great smell saw the menu and was relieved that I didn't need to choose from 100 different things. I just wanted a triple smash burger with sauce and cheese and that's what I got. Cooked to perfection, the burger practically exploded in my mouth from the flavor it was packing. Two doors over there was another burger place that had a line out the door that I definitely did not want to wait in so I chose The Mouth instead. Never regretted my choice and will definitely be making it again soon! read more
Another great meal at the Mouth. We were helped at the counter right away and ordered something new. We already had the pocket burgers last time so we came back for more. This was my first time inside. It's very hip and graffiti style walls but professionally done. I got the double smash cheeseburger and my partner got the croissant cheeseburger. Oh ho ho... Mrs. Claus has discovered a little burger magic at "The Mouth" in Burbank. I ordered the pocket-style double cheeseburger, the pocket-style chicken sandwich, a strawberry milkshake, and fries with their secret chili cheese sauce -- and darling... it was seriously so good. The kind of good that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even finished chewing. In fact, I'd happily go back immediately just for another pocket-style chicken sandwich. And let's talk about that strawberry milkshake. Real chunks of strawberry in there! Thick, sweet, and absolutely delightful. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, constantly tidying up after every guest. Truly working harder than the average bear -- and Mrs. Claus notices these things. I can not begin to describe how mind blowing this place is. Without trying to skyrocket people's expectations, this for me is hands down the best smash burger in LA! Let's start with the owners, they are so nice, friendly, humble, helpful, and just some of the best customer service experience you will have. If you have any questions about the menu, they jump right in to steer you in the right direction. I would come back just knowing that I get to run into them again. Now the food - you cannot go wrong with anything here!! We tried the triple cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and fries w/ special sauce, spicy special sauce, and a little side of chili. Not only was everything a 10 out of 10, I couldn't understand what I liked more because everything was so good. Genuinely the best smash burger in La, the chicken sandwich was so good - it was tender and juicy, and the fries were perfectly crispy and so easy for dipping. The sauces were fireee!!! Best smash burger sauce, I could eat it on its on! I'm now waiting for the day I can buy this as a condiment to keep at home in the fridge to use as a sauce to anything I want. I can't further explain how amazing the food is here. We got a strawberry shake at the end and it was (again, genuinely) the best strawberry shake I've had with the yummy strawberry bits in there. The food is absolutely amazing! We just moved in to the area about 3 months ago and I was craving burgers and found this gem. The croissant burger is amazing! Soft, buttery, but doesn't take away from the burger flavor. The double is definitely the way to go. The fries were something I've never had before but they were also very good, dipped in the house made chili they have. The service was amazing, very friendly. The owner gave me a sample of all the sauces because it was our first time here and all of them were really good. We were the only ones in there at the time but the ambiance was very inviting and the wall art inside was pretty cool. Definitely will be coming back again! read more

First time but definitely won't be my last! This has to be the BEST smash burger I've ever had...I tried it with the croissant bread which was warm, toasty, and flakey. The meat was juicy and flavorful and the sauce was unforgettable. The strawberry milkshake was a vanilla ice cream milkshake with blended frozen strawberries that gave it a delicious fresh taste. I was given a sample of the chili cheese which paired perfectly as a dip for the fries. Wonderful customer service as well, very welcoming! This spot's actually called The Mouth, and I found it from a YouTuber who does food reviews. I was already interested when I saw it online, but now that I've been here, I'm glad I came. The interior's wild in the best way. Super fun comic-book style with bold graphics everywhere. You've got bright orange chairs and tables, cement floors, and a loud pop of color all over the walls. It feels different in a good way, like you're stepping into a comic strip. The guy who took my order was cool. Friendly, quick, and he actually made my burger too. Six minutes from ordering to getting it in my hands, which was pretty impressive. So I ordered the double smash cheeseburger. Two crispy beef patties smashed on the grill, loaded with melted American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and their special sauce dripping over the top. The edges of the patties had that crispy crunch from the smash, but the inside was still juicy. The grilled onions brought out some sweetness, the pickles gave it a nice tang, and that sauce tied everything together. Creamy with a little kick and just the right amount of it too. The bun was soft and fresh and held everything together without getting soggy. Every bite had flavor, texture, and that just-made taste. This was one of the best smash burgers I've had in a while. If you're into that crispy edge, juicy inside kind of burger, this place knows how to do it right. I'd absolutely come back and try more from the menu. Mouth is offering a fresh contribution to the smash-burger genre, but the pocket double has the texture and taste more so of a beef patty rather than the smash burgers Angelinos go ga-ga for. The pocket burger's bread tastes/looks kind of like the Dutch crunch breading customarily found at a deli. The choice to use raw onions was smart as it's crunchy too. The taste is whatever. The burger was a little greasy, under-seasoned snd could have used a facelift in the taste department . It's bold and unique, but ultimately more of a gimmick: The fries -- awesome! Chip-shaped, no smasher you shall find carries anything but shoe-string or golden arch fries. read more

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and greeted by the owners. They asked if it was our first time here and when we said "yes" they automatically were kind enough to give us a breakdown of all the menu items. We ordered two combos, one spicy chicken sandwich and one double smash cheeseburger and they were both very good. The chicken sandwich had a lot of sauce on it but you were still able to taste the delicious flavoring on the chicken itself. The smash cheeseburger was also delicious and perfectly seasoned. Each combo came with what I can only describe as waffle chip fries, they were the perfect amount of crunchy. We also ended up splitting a chocolate milkshake and you can definitely tell they use great quality ice cream. Everything we've tried is definitely a hit. We will for sure be back! read more
I would give this place a 4.5. I'll round up with one caveat. Setting expectations (I'll get to that) I take ratings this high in burbank /Glendale with a grain of salt until I go myself. As a lot of people pas the ratings to help friends. This place did not disappoint in the food though. You walk in and there is a good energy. We ordered the loaded burger fries, a traditional burger, a pocket burger, and some chili fries. The food was delicious. Pocket burger was my favorite, but it was all so good. Now, my caveat is this. There was one family eating when I arrived, and one person who picked up a small door dash order. When I ordered he said give us 5-6min. 17 min later my food was ready. So 1. Don't over promise something you can't deliver. 2. I worry how this place will be able to meet an efficiency when they get busy. But ... the food and service were worth more visits. Lastly, in general parking sucks in this area. My advise is to park at Vons on pass and take a 3 min walk, or park further east down on Riverside. They do have decent amount of seats for as small as the space is. read more

This is a small little spot with some seating. Parking is terrible you would be better off ordering to go and bring someone who can run in and get the order. Ordered the pocket style double burger added bacon. Burger fries I ordered well, and a order of chill cheese dip. The burger was dry and I didn't see or taste any sauce on it. The burger didn't have any seasoning, They did give burger sauce on the side and I was glad because it definitely needed it. Burger sauce is good. Chilli cheese dip is alright! Staff was nice and friendly service was good. With all the new burger places within the area, I would probably try a new one then circle back to this one again. read more
