The manager Lucy kept me waiting while she was doing something else right behind the counter, and when she finally finished and looked up, said another employee would take my order. Why couldn't she? Then the employee came, Michael, and he had a poor attitude. Like he really didn't want to be there. He was talking to me but talking downward and avoiding eye contact, like he was just going through the motions and had a problem with me. His "Enioy" at the end was like a joke. He tried to charge me higher for the tacos despite it being Taco Tuesday, until I had to correct him. What a terrible employee. Then in the seating area, another employee was sitting in one of the booths looking extremely depressed, hat down, hand on his face. He stared at me as I walked in and sat. It made me feel uncomfortable. He stayed there for a long time, and didn't even clean up the stuff on the floor. Doing the bare minimum. Tables were sticky. The chicken al carbon tacos had rubbery pieces of chicken and didn't have much taste apart from the cilantro. Chicken's the name of the restaurant but it failed. I loved Pollo Loco, but I'm shocked. I love El Pollo Loco and was excited to see a new location nearby. That said, this visit was a bit off. My salad had a lot of wilted and blackened lettuce, which isn't typical for EPL, and the chicken was pretty dry--especially the overcooked ends, they were almost waxy. I also didn't care for the chipotle dressing and definitely prefer the creamy cilantro (won't make that mistake again!). On the bright side, the staff was very kind, and the dining area was clean. I didn't hate the salad--just had to pick through it more than usual. I'll still come back though, because I genuinely enjoy their salads when they're done right. When I do come back to this location, I'll update my review if warranted. read more

This Pollo Loco is my go to location. The chicken here is consistently good, and always fresh. I Love their tacos , quesadillas, & Pollo bowl. Service is fast and friendly. The interior dining room is always clean. The open view kitchen makes it nice to see them prepare your food start to finish. Great value when the coupons come in the mail . This location keeps their salsa in prepackaged containers behind the counter, which is much better than a salsa bar that looks like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by lunch. read more

A new EPL appeared near the Burbank airport. Mom wanted to check it out as she likes EPL. We took a visit during our day of running errands. The place has a huge kitchen which I feel could have been reduced for more dining area. There are good amount of tables inside. I like the high stool counter top table as you can charge your device or use a laptop while having your meal. Other than that EPL is still EPL. Oh! Don't get their crunchy tacos. Its pretty hard, very oily, and not satisfying. My mother wanted to try, she got 2, I saw that she wasn't too pleased with it so I shared my food while taking her 2nd taco. Its just not good.
