Food was hot, the order was correct and it was consistent with the food quality and taste of other Tommy's visits over the last 40 years. Staff was efficient, neither friendly nor impolite, but fine for a counterman at a burger stand. The tables were being disinfected per anti-Covid practices in effect on the date of my visit. Funny to read the other reviews - either 1 star or 5 stars - hundreds of visits over 40 years to maybe 10 locations - very consistent. We stopped in on our drive up to Northern California. We wanted to try this place out from the reviews we read. The chili is on point and the hamburgers are as good as in n out. You can chili to everything or should I say everything has it but you can get it without lol. The soft serve was fresh but it had a taste to it that lingers for awhile. The worst customer service I have ever encountered, and I am pretty sure my food was tampered with. Spent a day at 6 Flags on Saturday, August 21st, 2021. Stopped by for a great last meal, at the place I ONCE used to love so much. My party had 4 in it, and we all ordered separate. I ordered Chili Cheese Fries with extra cheese and I asked for yellow peppers on the side. The cashier rudely said "You can ask for that on the side" ...... "I thought that's what I just did?" He MEANT to say, ask for peppers on the side when my order number is called out. Okay, I'll ask again, no biggie. They had issues with their card swipe- Friends before me, had their card declined due to failed card swipe/internet issues on THEIR end, but when it was my card it had to be "taken to the back" to be swiped, even after I said, I have cash instead. It miraculously went through? (I have cancelled my card today because of the rest of the service I received, and not knowing if my card was taken to the back to be copied) My order number was called out, and when getting my tray I asked again for yellow peppers. The gal plucked two peppers out of the jug and put them in one of their paper tray containers and plopped it down on my tray. When I say "plopped", I mean she dropped them down hard enough for the juice of the peppers to splash up and proceeded to say "There you go" like a very angry lunch lady. When I sat down with my group with my chili cheese fries, the group of employees gathered by the register and continued to laugh and point in our direction, to the point where I felt extremely uncomfortable about eating the food I was just served. I threw my meal in the trash, and will never be back to this location again. It is really sad to have such a great COMPANY with values, be ruined by extremely unprofessional workers, at an location that is visited by hundreds of people a day. It's just a fast food burger with all the toppings and chili sauce like you would find on a hot dog. I thought it was an odd combination but it was good. Burger was very messy, not something you would try to eat while driving. The burgers are very tiny so you might go with a double. Fries were nice and thick but need more salt. Three of us bought chili burgers. One found it repulsive and only ate about half. Another said it tasted bad but choked it down. One said it was okay. I had the California classic which taste similar to Carl's Jr. or Hardee's California Classic. Just a warning all burgers have chili on it unless you request it not on it. My California Classic does not come with chili. My kids and husband enjoyed the burgers with chili. Great place to come after going to Six Flags Magic Mountain which is near by. read more

The employee that gave us the food was wearing plastic gloves and then left to use the restroom. When the employee walked out of the restroom he was still wearing the same plastic gloves. This is the first time that I have eaten at original Tommy's burgers in probably three decades. It started out when I lived in Southern California after nights, or let's say several nights, of partying in the clubs downtown Westwood. The original Tommy's off of Rampart was delicious especially late at night. I was A little concerned that the quality inconsistence would not be the same as the one in Los Angeles. I was happily surprised to discover that their burgers were exactly the same as I remember. Just enough chili not too much. Messy but not too messy. And their french fries were probably the best french fries I have had in a very long time. I would also like to add that the customer service provided by every single staff member was on point. They were professional and they were friendly and they were observant. The neighborhood was beautiful and clean and I felt safe.
