This place was a huge surprise. Usually we try to eat at local businesses, but the combination of the reviews and our cravings got the better of us. So we settled for this American Burger chain. Pretty big store that felt modern and welcoming. The layout was great and we didn't feel lost at all from start to finish. We were in town because of a friend's play, and it was nice that it was right next door too. I got the Onion Stack Burger. The patty was well seasoned and the crispy onion strings gave it a wonderfully textured bite. Hickory sauce was tasty and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. I asked for ketchup on the side and I don't know why but cold, refrigerated ketchup always taste the best. I had to drop a star because the service was lacking a little. The worker was nice and responsive but we had to wait quite a bit as I think he was talking to a friend when we got there. He noticed we were in line but they were just having a conversation unrelated to the burger joint. She left the spot after 5-ish minutes and we were greeted pretty carefree following that. He also forgot to give us our number which we had to go back for. Anyhow, the food was great, and the ambiance was great. An updated review on one of my family's favorite spot to eat. Yes, I am a fan. My favorite burger to get here is the French soup burger. AMAZING BURGER! Cooked to perfection, stacked but wrapped well enough for an easy eating experience (I lie. I still ask for a fork and knife.) I would like to say I would try the rest of the menu but the dozen times I have come here, I order the same burger. Now the sides have varied. I tend to share the fries with others as they are served generously. Crispy and seasoned, these are great fries. Our current favorite is the roasted brocollini. It is citrusy, bright and light and it goes perfectly well with the burger. And I love the complimentary pickle chips! Service is great. You order at the counter and they take the food to your table. Ample seating but inside and out. Valencia can get hot but there are more perfect sunny days/afternoons so outside eating to me is a must. Our overall experience today was better than last time. Excellent service from Christian when we ordered and from Sam when our food was brought to our table. Given that it was peak lunchtime we expected our food to be exceptionally fresh. The sandwiches were good, but again with the chewy, lukewarm, sweet potato fries. The Stand serves up some comfort food, nostalgic of a good ol' burger, shake, and fries but with modern offerings for the health conscious eaters as well. There's something for the whole family. Sides 5/5* All the sides were delicious - Mac n Cheese with its cavatappi noodles, crispy Stand Fries, Fire Fries with a spicy kick, and unlimited complimentary pickles. Short Rib Gilled Cheese 5/5* SO delicious! Cheddar cheese grilled into the bread until crispy on the outside, gooey and melty inside, paired with savory shredded short rib. It came with ranch sauce but was so good on its own, it didn't need extra sauce. French Onion Soup Burger 2.5/5* Just ok in my opinion. The burger overall and patty didn't have much flavor, even though the patty was cooked perfectly medium rare. The side of french onion au jus was too salty. It was missing some veggies to balance everything out. I probably wouldn't get this burger again, but would try one of their more balanced options. Puri Puri Chicken Bowl 4/5* Looked great on the menu screen and was a new item, but didn't really look like the picture when brought out. It's a healthier option and was refreshing. The red sauce is pretty spicy if you don't do heat well. It might be the same sauce used on the Fire Fries. Customer Service (for the cashier) 5/5* The cashier, Christian, provided top notch customer service. He walked us through downloading The Stand app, apply our coupon, and was so patient, assuring us we had nothing to worry about when we said we didn't want to hold up the line. The servers though, were just doing just that, without anything extra. One of the servers even messed up our order and we were missing an extra side of fries, which we had to get directly from the kitchen. The kitchen, though, is extremely slow. Be prepared to wait 20-30 mins for your food. The ambiance is real casual. You order first, and the servers bring out your food and clean up afterwards. They seemed short staffed at the time so a lot of tables were still full of trays. There's a ton of TVs that were playing the game at the time, so good spot to watch the game without the crazy crowds. read more

The menu looks good and I really enjoy burger places so why not here ? I orders The Stand Burger for myself and others in our group ordered the same along with a Turkey Burger. Also got me a Cookies n Cream Shake and a "large" fries. I was asked by the cashier how I like the burgers cooked and I said well - no pink. The food was brought to our table and I was excited to try this out. The drippy burger tasted fine at first but after taking a look inside I saw it was completely pink thru out. I checked with my other peeps at the table and they had pink pattys too. Ugh. Why ask how I want it cooked if you aren't going to even come close. Also I ordered the "large" fries because it was basically double the price of a regular so I would split it at the table. Well let me tell you, my large looked just as small as the regulars others got in my group. My photos back this up. So now I really feel like I'm just getting poor service here and ripped off. We were really hungry so we ate what we could and wanted to just get thru the meal. The Cookies n Cream shake was the only thing they seemed to get right during my experience. Service was not great, While I was telling my order to the cashier another worker just walked over and interrupted us and then the girl taking my order just walked away. We love it here because my wife and daughters have food allergies, and they are allergy friendly. Anytime we're in the area, we make sure to stop here. Came here for an early dinner on a Sunday during are mini roadtrip back home. I had seen the chain of restaurant in the past and have been meaning to try out the food. Food looked really good on the reviews and they had over a 4.0 on stars. There was no wait line and the restaurant was empty so plenty of space to dine in as we did. Ordering was quick, but when we went to choose for a spot to sit at, which a booth would have been preferable.... We did not have that option. Every table booth was not clean! Leftover trays and un-sanitized tables. We couldn't even find a napkin dispenser to clean the table ourselves. We had just grabbed leftover clean napkins left from a guest at a previous booth. We waited about 10 minutes for our food order, but the food was delicious just as expected from the reviews. I tried out the BBQ Brisket Sandwich, no modifications. At first I was kind of iffy of the pepperonis but gave them a try and it was not a disappointment. The brisket in the sandwich was tender and not whatsoever chewy or tough to bite. BBQ sauce was on point just the right consistency with the coleslaw in the sandwich. My husband agreed his Ultimate Egg Burger was good just a tad to much of the Aioli sauce since it empower the meat patty flavor, he just likes his red meat flavor. Our fries and onion rings were perfectly fried nice and crips no sogginess or floppy fries. I do want to advised everyone that there are no options of combination meals orders. Everything from sides to drinks are sold separately from sandwiches/burgers. Place is fairly small and very limited on tables of 6 guests. I would have given this place a 5 star if it wasn't for all the leftover trays on empty tables/booth tables there was even dirty tables visibly on their outside patio. The person that brought our food order to our table was friendly & welcoming, however the clerk that took our order seemed checked out mentally for the day her emotions seem tired of being at work as she waved down her friend at a table for the for the time of day in the clock and her friend mention "ten more minutes" as the clerk replied back to her with a thumbs down and tired face. read more

The stand is serviceable but really nothing too exciting. It is quite expensive unless you use the app which helps some. It is good, not great. The restaurant is clean and the service was good. It is located at the mall so parking depends on the business of the mall. The food is okay but didn't really have much flavor and seemed undersized for the price. Others I know love it! This location is nice and spaced out, lots of seating inside and they have a nice outside patio area as well. Can never go wrong with the food here! We were in the area doing some shopping so we decided to grab lunch at this location. We almost always go for the sweet chili aioli and stand burger sauce for our fries but this time we tried their jalapeno aioli and it was FANTASTIC. Wow! I just ordered the Chimichuri steak salad, green beans with a red ginger vinegarette, (with fried onions) and The Stand's chili. All are amazing. I will admit, I don't like cheese with meat, so that's on me for not taking it off, otherwise, the chili is really good! However, the Chimichuri steak salad with corn salsa is out of this world. Authentic Chimichuri, (which you just don't get anymore) and steak cooked to perfection. (I had this delivered from Valencia to the deep hell of Canyon Country.) Amazing! The green beans are so, so good. They don't even need the fried onions, but definitely a good balance. I ordered from Door Dash and the items say "temporary". They should really keep this going. This was our first visit to The Stand and it did not disappoint. We ordered custom burgers, Brisket Sandwich, Short Rib Grilled Cheese and two kids meals. All of the food was very flavorful and seemed to be made of high quality ingredients. If we had to pick, our favorite single item was the Brisket Sandwich; super flavorful and great texture. You have the choice of unlimited sauces for free as well which is a nice touch. All of them were good. The service was very friendly and the employees exceeded our needs and expectations. The restaurant was very clean, to include the bathrooms. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This is our third visit. Couldn't wait to try the French onion soup burger. Ask how I want cooked. Pink. My husband ordered medium also wanting pink. He took one bite and said " you won't be happy with the cook. It's well done". It took 15 minutes for order and all tables had been served. So, asking for a new one was out of the question. Beer, wine and two burgers and small onion rings $57 is disappointing to say the least. I can see management only replies to 5 star comments so I don't expect a reply. Also, when you ask for a replacement beer whenyour choice is out, asked for a IPA that doesn't taste like an orange , ask for a sample. I would have returned but hubby hates to fuss. Had the best chimichurri steak salad here yesterday!!! The salad was fresh, and had the perfect crunch. I enjoyed sitting inside, the booth was comfortable and the air conditioning was on high! My nephew enjoyed one of their chocolate milk shakes. I had their tea and their lemonade mixed together, it was delightful. Fast, easy service. I think this is maybe my fourth stand burger that I've been to and I love them all they do everything very good. The food the onion rings. Everything was so good. It was so good to relax after being downtown and being on the road today I was so happy to get to the stand in Valencia on my way home to Lancaster. They never disappoint. Their service was wonderful. The ambience it's not too much. It's at a mall so parking is bad but once you get inside, you don't have to worry about anything. There's nothing on the menu that I don't like. I like everything from there I will be coming back again and again The only thing I wish they had was a crispy chicken sandwich. I truly wish I had something nice to say, but unfortunately, my experience with the Valencia location has fallen far short of what I've come to expect from the Northridge location. This past Saturday night, after a long and exhausting day, we decided to treat ourselves to dinner. I don't typically order food for delivery, but I had already settled in for the evening and placed an order from The Stand. When the food arrived, the bag was sealed and the receipt showed all three items we ordered--but inside, there were only two containers. Our main item--a $20 burger--was completely missing. I called the store, and the person who answered (I believe his name was Antonio) seemed surprised and said he would "find out who packed it." Honestly, that wasn't my concern. What mattered was that we didn't have the food we paid for. He offered to remake the burger, but only if we came to pick it up ourselves--which defeats the entire point of delivery. If I could have driven to the location, I would have done that in the first place and avoided the delivery fee altogether. He then said he'd leave a gift card for the value of the burger at the store. Again--helpful in theory, but not exactly useful in the moment, when dinner was completely ruined and we were left with part of a meal after waiting nearly an hour. All of this because someone couldn't take the time to double-check an order before it went out the door. Frankly, a missing $20 burger is unacceptable, and a partial credit doesn't really address the issue when the entire experience was disrupted due to a careless mistake. A full refund would have been more appropriate. Disappointed is an understatement. read more

I say that because one of the employees that I interacted with at the register, Christian, was quite nice and seemed to want to assist me but, another employee, Augustin, when I went back to the register to place another order, was just going through the motions and could care. She was doing the minimum that the job required. She was nice enough and helpful enough but, it was not 100% genuine. Another disappointment was the fact that there were limited choices for me since I do not eat meat. I ended up getting the kale quinoa crunch salad. It was alright but, I am not a quinoa fan. However, my other choice was a tuna salad sandwich, which had premixed mayo in it, so I was better off with the salad. I ordered fries but received waffle fries which I happen to hate and sucked when trying to dip into their SMALL sauce container (who wants to work to eat fries). I have always cleaned up after myself (did so that day) but honestly don't advertise to customer you'll clean their mess and then don't follow through. Food is great, but the service by staff leaves a lot to be desired. We arrived on Saturday ~ 2PM and there was a line almost to the door, but the majority of the restaurant was empty. The gentleman that took my order wasn't particularly friendly. No hello, no smile, no enthusiasm. Could've placed the order on a screen instead. The food arrived in a fairly timely manner, two hot dogs and two chicken sandwiches. When the lady dropped the food off, she almost threw it at us. No communication, no eye contact. Simply listed the items on the plates and impatiently threw them in the middle of the table and hastily walked off. A few moments later, I had to interact with this same person to get a knife to cut my daughter's hot dogs up. I stood at the counter for 30-45 seconds whilst she was preoccupied with another task, although I'm confident she knew I was standing there. Eventually, she turned her head and in a very irritated tone simply said "yes?". I politely asked for a knife, she did not look at me again nor say anything, just handed me the knife. Aside from all this, the trash wasn't being picked up very efficiently, napkins, knife's, forks, etc. weren't available for anyone without asking for them. We might return for the food, but may skip due to the competency and demeanor of the staff. read more
