Delicious BELT Breakfast Sandwiches Tommy's is an amazing spot for a fresh homemade flavored breakfast sandwich. We always get the BELT -bacon egg lettuce and tomato on whole wheat bread. The sandwich is huge and filling, fresh and delicious. The flavors are more like a homemade breakfast than a McD or other fast food chain. read more

I'll start by saying I'm a bit of a burger snob. I heard some good things about this classic burger spot in SoCal. Having been here 15 years and not had it I figured I'd give it a go. I ordered #2 the way they make it, unedited. I took it to go to my office about 5 min away. It was a double burger with chili and some other stuff. First thing is it's messy. It looked like someone poo'd everywhere and the bland chili overpowered everything else. I couldn't tell you what else was in there by flavor because it was all covered in chili. Some people might like this but it was not for me. I could go the rest of my life and be happy to never do that again! The fries we thick and soggy. No seasoning... I ate 2-3 bits of the burger, 2 fries, then chucked it all in the bin. The only good thing was the service. read more

I was impressed by this location. My daughter, home from college, wanted her favorite cheese fries. From the friendly greeting at the drive thru to the efficiency of receiving our order, everything was done well. Cheeseburger was hot and delicious. French fries smothered in melted cheese. They have a drive-thru and some tables outside. BF and I went for a late dinner, 8PM is late right?? One lady working drive-thru and one man making the food I believe. So every picture had chili on the food so this place must be known for their chili right? But it says 'world famous hamburger'... What we got: Chili Cheese Fries: I didn't like it. First look and it didn't look appetizing, but I'm not going to judge! Took a bite and eh...they did give you a lot of chili, but maybe I was just expecting it to taste better. Fries weren't crispy or crunchy and it just looked limpy. Triple Chili Cheeseburger: so the burger part definitely made it better. Yes it has chili, but it tastes way better on a burger than it did the fries! I told my BF I just wanted one bite to try it and ended up taking a couple more. So definitely get the burgers here! Service: Lady was nice, food came out in a timely manner, but the food here is expensive! Or I don't know...we just had the fries, burger and drink and it ended up being almost $20...prices weren't clear on the board and no receipt was given either. read more

I will give this place a solid 3 stars...$17.80 got us a Caliente burger, chili burger no onions and no chili....two fries and a drink. The flavor of these burgers were pretty darn good and their fries were delicious! The only thing they forgot was the chili on my burger. Actually, I'm changing my review to 4 stars mainly because even though they messed up my order slightly it was still a really damn good drive thru burger! We will be back in the near future. read more

It's been over 40 years since I have eaten a Tommy burger. It was all I was hoping for. That same great taste of chili mixed all I. One of the best tasting cheese burgers I have for awhile. Took my wife and daughter there and they both had chili tamale. They said it was the best they ever had. Great place great service. Will go back soon. read more

Tommy's!! I'm basing this review on their breakfast sandwich. When my boyfriend took me here for regular burgers, I thought "great...another burger joint" and when we ate I felt "hm...ok these burgers aren't bad, they're actually really good...still not a big fan of chili cheese burgers though" But then came breakfast! *drool* I think it's the real egg that makes it so amazing! I feel like I've died and have gone to heaven! Pair that up with a huge cup of soda and I'm in the best mood ever! The only complaint I have about this is that the cooks don't wear gloves. This review is for the Tommy's on Westminster Boulevard, Westminster, California. Never been to a Tommy's, so after hitting the Art Supply Warehouse one block down I was convinced to try it... once. "The Hat" beats them on the Chili Cheese fries category in ubber size, but their same offerings and their Chili burgers were good, but God Almighty!. The grease content on the (...tasty...) chili will spackle all your arterial vessels on the spot, double coating. Don't visit your doc after eating here: "You just ate at a Tommy's, didn't you?," "hmm, yes?. How?..." "I can bloody hear your Heart screaming from here without my stethoscope." Interesting to try once; divey, yet with an Americana feel, but bring a kegger of anti-cholesterol medicine. Guilty tasty food, no salt on the fries? (up to you to add sodium to the tar chemical compound brewing on your colon). No non-carbonated drinks. It is Tommy's so I have chosen my poison. I know! It is basically eating a bucket of lard with seasoning. OMFG I lost my mind Saturday night! It was finger liken so good! Customer service is a meh, but again, no one went to college to get a masters degree, in how to slap a chili burger, at Tommy's. So again consider the source. Just close your eyes and eat it! LOL! 5 stars today for sure. I always enjoy my Tommy's run but today get a full strong 5 stars. They hit me on my social media because I follow everywhere. Today was a BOGO single deal and as I came through and saw the new "Add Bacon" sign, I added bacon on both. I had to pay for both bacon additions since it wasn't part of the deal, but they put a nice handful of bacon on each sandwich which tasted amazing 9n an already delicious burger. Loved it! read more

Probably the worst stuff you can eat but...it's amazing in it's own unique, deliciously gut-busting way, and has many followers from all over. I don't get this very often because of this, but when I do I go all out. A double original chili burger with extra chili and onion, no pickle, and upgrade my fries to chili cheese fries w/onions, and a large iced-tea with lemon, and sweet-n-lo....for $8.75 Price is pretty good for the amount of food you get and you might even surprise yourself with some leftovers. I've never had a stomach(or any other indigestion) problem's from the food but if you got a weak stomach you should probably stay away or go for the regular burger instead of anything with chili. I don't see any problems with it, except that it's just bad for you and that's what makes me(and many others) want it even more, it's a guilty sin of mine(great place when you got the late night munchies, or to absorb any alcoholic beverages you might have had before getting the bright idea to come here =] ) It just comes down to either you like it or you don't....and that's ok cuz then the people who LOVE IT don't always have to wait in long lines. This place use to be my childhood favorite, i would come everyday and eat their chili cheese fries. Sometimes even 3 times in one day. I went today and as soon as i handed them my money they already had my order out, which i of course thought that they probably just handed me one that was sitting out. But, i gave them the benefit of the doubt and took it and sat at one of the tables. As soon as you look at it you can see a square slice of cheese, and it's not even melted! I took a bite and it was cold, i thought "hmm it's chilly out maybe the wind just made the top cold" so i dug a fry out from the middle and it was also cold. Needless to say, i will not be returning to Tommy's, which is very sad because it use to be my favorite. read more

No, No, NO!!!! This place is gross! The food is not good...I honestly still cringe when I think about eating the burger and chilly fries I ordered. Just not good at all. I will never go here or recommend this place to anyone. I saw this place advertised on Burgers, Brew and Que, and now I know for sure that these food network shows are not based on good food! read more

I would really like to give this place less than one star. We pulled up to the drive thru and ordered. The person behind the counter barely spoke any English so it was not exactly easy to order. Then we wait 20 minutes behind a vehicle in the drive thru and pull up and the person says "can I help you". Are you kidding me? Now we are sitting here listening to her yelling about how she never took our order even though the order ticket was sitting on the register. I think this place needs some management. SERIOUSLY needs some management. read more

I love Tommy's but not this location . First and last time at this location ! The meat was almost fully cooked looking grey . The bread was falling apart and not toasted . Went to window and asked for a new hamburger bun toasted and they said they didn't have a toaster . So I had to teach them how to cook . The two ladies who barely knew English just walked away toward the back of the kitchen and sat down . The nice cashier was nice enough to take care of my problem. Didn't get his name . To me it looked as if he was doing most of the work while the ladies sat down . Forgot to mention the fries were cold and chili was warm . Just found out tonight that this location doesn't serve fries after 9pm because that's when they clean the fryer. Don't worry, there's a couple in-n-out's around the corner and another Tommy's 10 minutes away. Before 9pm they are fine. Just like any other Tommy's location. read more

Earlier I posted I wasn't going to go back, but my wife wanted Tommy's, so we went, unfortunately. The cashier got our order correct when taking it, but when I checked the burgers, they weren't how we ordered them. When the cashier went back and verbally told the cooks the order 4 times, they still messed it up & looked like they threw the burger together, with the bun wrinkled. I'm calling the corporate office. The manager did refund my money and was apologetic. I forgot to post this, but looking back now, I have 2 more bad things that happened there. TWICE I went back and both times, there was one person in line in the drive thru & very few people in the restaurant, but it took me 20 minutes each time just to get to the window. I sent an e-mail to the company and NEVER got a response back. Sorry that I'm trying to help you get rid of bad employees read more

A drive-thru should not require mountain climbing skills, Olympic stretching, or a worker putting half their body outside the window. Please fix the drive-thru before the next combo meal comes with a workers' comp claim.

This is probably my favorite burger house in town. If you're going to splurge this is the place to do it. The service is fast and clean but I argue that's part of the old fashioned burger house feel. Our server was able to give us some great guidance and was especially helpful in paring our cokes and burgers. Everything you've heard is 100% true and then some. Last Night I went there, I ordered a Chili Burger with Fries with Coke. They didnt give me any Napkins or Ketchup. In the bag. They had no courtesy. The cashier was kinda rude to me. And place was bad smelling and kinda dirty inside, I rather eat some other hamburger place.
