A nice size, comfortable restaurant with a cool comfortable ambiance. We walked in and were immediately seated. Moments later our server came to the table and took a drink order. Pretty simple... coffee and two waters. When she returned with our drinks we gave her our lunch order. 1/2 Pastrami sandwich on rye with mushroom barley soup and two 1/2 sandwiches with chicken matzoh ball soup. Shortly after ordering, our soups came out. I reminded her that we only ordered 'cups' of soup (see picture). She explained "That's our cup." She later showed me their bowl. Large, really large... definitely a meal by itself. The Pastrami sandwiches then showed up with their respective sides... cole slaw, pickled cucumbers and fries. (I had the fires and they were perfect.) Many people know that doesn't happen all the time. The sandwiches were loaded with pastrami on a delicious rye. This was one good sandwich and I will definitely be back. Overall a great place with excellent food and service. Most of the reviews are four and five stars which I get... For the people who gave one to three, why? PLEASE, stop complaining because of an experience that you had that can be easily resolvable. WHY do one star reviews come from people who have no connections, no yelp friends and just one or two reviews.... Is that your job. Please stop diminishing the overall ratings for these great places. Until I found 3 Gs gourmet deli. This place is the real deal. My first time here was alone, and I grabbed a sandwich with two meat some cheese, Russian dressing, and coleslaw. And for good measure, I added a Schmear of chopped liver. This turned out to be one of the most outstanding deli sandwiches I have ever eaten. The deli was fresh and delicious and without ordering it lean it was in fact quite lean just the way I liked it. The flavors all complimented each other and nothing was overdone. The sandwich was in a word outstanding served with a sude of the best potato salad, you will ever taste as well as complementary pickles, like the deli of old would do and even some delicious extra bread. I just loved it and I had to bring my wife back for a second visit. This visit was even better than the first. I got an over stuffed two meat sandwich of pastrami and corn beef. It was absolutely wonderful. Same excellent service. There is so much on the menu. I want to try that I will be stopping there pretty much every time I pass by. Finding this wonderful delicatessen atmosphere with superb service and outstanding food is really rare. Highly recommended.

At first sight, its unassuming traditional strip mall storefront belies the fun deli interior. It is a reasonable size, with good attentive staffing and the usual fun deli counter. Atmosphere is buzzy and enjoyable. The clientele is mostly local retirees, so don't I feel so youthful here! It may skew younger at other times, but we've only been here twice, at odd times. Prices are high, but usual for upscale deli in the area, And portions are great. The menu has EvErYtHiNg your heart desires, and I could not resist the usual overlarge traditional B & W cookie to go. There was quite a language barrier when trying to order, in the middle of making our sandwiches she would leave to go cash customers out. While she was gone the bagel basically lit on fire in the toaster. We got one breakfast sandwich and two deli sandwiches, the egg and breakfast meat were all microwaved. I had asked for a lettuce wrap because I cannot have gluten, she quite literally cut a head of iceberg lettuce in half and put toppings on top. Mind you I ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich, and I never even got meat... Literally mayo, tomato, cheese, and pickle. I also noticed she never added the cheese so I had asked for it which is the only reason it made it on there, had I known she did not add turkey I obviously would have reminded her, didn't think that would have been an issue. The Lobster Salad Melt was definitely a popular choice. My husband thought the menu was huge and had so many things we wanted so we decided that we had to order the Whitefish Salad with Rye Bread and a Turkey Reuben. The complimentary added pickles made the meal perfect. Our server, Tyra, was great! She had a great attitude and made sure that we had everything we needed right down to the take home containers for our leftovers since the portions are so big. Everything we ordered was delicious and I was a little skeptical when I looked at the ingedients because it seemed like there was a lot of colorful fillers in the whitefish (and all their salads that are scooped) but it worked to give an added flavor but not over powering the fish flavor. The restaurant was clean and definitely could tell that it had been around for a long time. The meal was great and we are looking forward to a return visit and to check out their wonderful bakery items in the showcase.

A lot of the foods and selections that made this place special have disappeared from the menu, and now the customer service seems to be going in the same direction. Today I stopped in for somewhere between 1/8 and 1/4 pound of lox. It's just me eating it, so I didn't need a full quarter pound. The woman at the counter told me, rather abruptly, that she would only sell me a quarter pound. I explained that I wanted an eighth and that a little over was perfectly fine. Her response was essentially, "I'm only selling a quarter pound." Fortunately, the gentleman slicing the lox simply listened to what I was asking for and took care of me. Thank you to him. To the woman working the register/counter today: customer service matters, especially for a longtime local business where people remember how good the place used to be. A simple request from a paying customer shouldn't turn into an argument over a couple of ounces of lox. I genuinely want to see this place succeed, but if the quality, selection, and customer service continue in this direction, I have a hard time seeing Gourmet Deli House being around much longer.

The place is completed remodeled with new owners. Megan was our server extraordinaire and brought me a large cup of delicious brewed coffee. We both got the breakfast special which included a drink. Dave loves that-I prefer savory butter lol! Then the eggs were a very large portion and done just right. I swear I had a bagel that was on steroids lol! It was the biggest bagel that I have ever seen. David got two large pancakes along with warmed syrup! Who could ask for anything more. Megan said the bagels were baked right there! The price was a modest $9.99! A bargain considering we usually pay over $3.00 a cup of coffee here. It makes me sad that I left my home there 12 years ago! It was dry as expected, but had no flavor. She orders the brisket at all the other Jewish deli's in the area and all have flavor, although very dry when ordered extra lean. The others all ordered cold sandwiches and were fine with their meals. The only comments were the rye bread looked packaged from a market, not your typical Jewish Rye, but they still enjoyed their sandwich. The remodel is really first class, definitely the nicest Jewish deli in the area.
