I thought about taking home a piece of carrot cake, but I decided against it, as I don't need the extra sugar. Our server was very attentive and cheerful, which is always nice. I had iced tea and she gave me a refill to go, which I appreciated. TooJay's also catered my Thanksgiving luncheon at work, and they did a beautiful job. This isn't my favorite chain, but so far I've had good luck with this location. I was in Florida for a baseball tournament and stumbled upon Too Jay's and I'm so glad that I did! Who would have thought an amazing NY Style Deli would be in Florida! The service was amazing. Our waitress was Janice and her service was top notch. She was so friendly polite and patient with us as we browsed their menu. I had the Rachel and my mom had the patty melt. Both were amazing. Very good! Ordered takeout here for my grandfathers birthday. The order was correct and fresh, the woman at the counter was super friendly. When we walked in we noticed the place was very clean. I got a roast beef sandwich and I loved it. Plenty of roast beef and it was tender and yummy. I got it on rye bread and it was fluffy and fresh. I put mayo on it. I brought my own chips and ate the sandwich with them. I liked the coleslaw, but the thought the pickle slice was small. My dad and grandpa got corned beef and really Liked it. The matzo ball soup looked good too. The 4 potato pancakes were good, they had a good texture and nice size. It was a little too oily and fried for me. I would definitely come back again. We had a very good lunch here. They were quite busy when we stopped by, but both the service and the kitchen were fast and efficient. They had a soup and sandwich special which we both decided to get. I got matza ball soup and a chicken salad sandwich. He got chicken noodle soup and a tuna salad sandwich. The server brought the soups out first. They were both piping hot and packed with chicken and veggies. His had noodles and mine has a large fluffy matzo ball in a tasty chicken broth. The soup was very good. Our half sandwiches were both on rye bread with a lettuce leaf and tomato slices. There was a slightly sweet crunchy cole slaw served on the side. And a marinated dill pickle spear. I really liked my dill chicken salad sandwich-- chunky and very fresh. Not too much mayo, either. The rye bread was very fresh. My only minor quibble the bread was quite soft in the center and got a bit mushy from the wet salad. That rye bread would have been better slightly toasted. I'll try to remember that for next time. I went there today to get soup for my son. I ordered matzoh ball soup and a sandwich - I did tip 10% too which I am sorry I did. $40 for the both is outrageous but I was doing it for my son. I got home and three huge matzoh balls took up the entire container and there was basically only maybe 1/3 cup soup and the balls were already absorbing the liquid. MOST upsetting. I called and the female that answered was so rude about it. I simply asked when did they stop putting the matzoh balls in a separate container as I have always had them packed separate. Brought a friend for an end-of-year late lunch. Adriel took very good care of us throughout our time there. The hot chocolate was flavorful; her lemonade was perfect. We both had the Stuffed Cabbage Dinner with the well done broccoli (perfect!). I had the cup of beef cabbage soup and she has the chicken noodle soup. Delicious! TooJays has my heart after visiting for breakfast the other weekend. I didn't realize they had relocated , so when I noticed this location I knew I had to try it. Came here on a Sunday morning and was surprised that is wasn't too busy. My waiter was super friendly, got me seated right away and brought us coffee. My food was unbelievable. The waffle was thick and fluffy. I of course had to get the warm fruit topping, which I'm pretty sure is a cheesecake topping, and it is by far the greatest combo I've ever had with a Belgian waffle. My dad ordered the French toast and it was made on brioche bread, making it fluffy and light. They are also a deli, so they have huge cases of bakery treats and other deli goodies. I skipped past the deli stuff because of the scrumptious looking cakes of course, but everything I saw looked very fresh and well worth trying. It seems like TooJay's has so much to offer !!!! We tried placing an order for curbside pick up and kept getting a message that either they were closed or the wait time was 480 minutes. Husband called and spoke to Nadine and explained the problem asking if he could please place the order as pick up and could she bring it out as he is disabled. Her horrible response was "I don't care, can't help and I have other customers waiting." Who talks to a customer that way? This is the most horrible verbiage ever from an employee! My husband reached a Manager named Mike and explained the same issue he was having on line and (Without telling him about the interaction with Nadine), Mike offered to bring the order out as soon as my husband called that he was outside waiting. Once there my husband told Mike about Nadine's comments. This is horrible customer service from a nasty, uncaring employee that should be fired! Ordered a Rosh Hashanah dinner and was very pleased. The order was ready as promised with generous portions. Every dish was flavorful and well prepared. Such an utter disappointment. It's St. Patrick's Day and we tried a couple of places to get a corn beef and cabbage dinner but everyone was sold out. We went here in a last attempt, there was a 45 minute wait so we opted to order to go. It was clear that Toojays was not staffed for today, maybe not expecting as many people to resort to a deli for their St. Patty's day dinner. But after we waited awhile, hearing other customers complain about various things, we placed our order. They already ran out of the irish cream cheesecake but we were able to get corn beef and cabbage. They apparently didn't ring us up for the appetizer we ordered, they didn't hear it so it wasn't just missing but corn beef and cabbage meal was refrigerator cold. Not only is it not made fresh but they forgot to microwave it. Very disappointing. Obviously we need to plan better next year but when I spend $20 on a special I expect it to at the very least be warm. It makes me question the quality control. Going to Toojays was always a special treat. Now they have raised their prices and drastically cut their potions it isn't anymore. the potion wouldn't feed a child. This was by far the most disappointing visit to TooJay's EVER. The eggs served were cold. We simply asked for a replacement to which the server responded "I'll see what I can do". He came back, pushed these on to the end of the table and kept on walking. Of course, we didn't see him again until it was time for his tip. TooJay's should be ashamed of serving raw eggs (a health risk) to customers. Avoid this location unless you prefer terrible food and mediocre, at best, service. read more
