Dinner included soup or salad, entree, 2 sides (baked potato and spinach), free glass of wine, beverage (diet cream soda) included. Plus dessert ( chocolate bobka). The food is still the best deli food in Palm Beach County but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Not enough servers had our party of six waiting just to place our orders for a half Seated at 6 pm, we were not served dessert until almost 8 pm. From now on I will order via pick up. read more

Been quite a while since I've been here and wondered how busy it would be on a Tues night at 6pm. Luckily, got one of the last tables... I think we were helped by the light rain. When we left there was the long wait I remember from back in the day, so seems its still very popular. This place hasn't changed at all. Neither have their customers! Seems like everyone here are regulars that have been coming for years. I loved my waiter, Fred, who when asked said he's been working at 3Gs for 16 years... a real pro and such a nice guy. Had their signature sandwich... The New Yorker with Hot Corned Beef, Hot Pastrami, Imported Swiss, Slaw and Russian Dressing. Comes with a side of Cole Slaw... I added a side of Fries. I enjoyed the sandwich ... both meats were very good, slaw fine. Wouldn't order the fries again... too fried. Also, gave a try to the 3G's Salad Sensation: A platter of Egg, Tuna and Dill Chicken Salads. Soups were bland. Now that I am reminded of the various items here, the way I'll play 3Gs moving forward. I'm calling this one Scenes From 3G's because, in the end, I didn't actually eat here. I sat down at a table with ten people. I ordered food. I waited. And then I didn't eat. 3G's Gourmet Deli is one of those South Florida Jewish delis with a vast, boilerplate menu and a loyal, mostly elderly clientele. If this were a place that actually cooked most of what it serves, this review would read very differently. But it doesn't -- and it's not trying to hide that fact. This is a deli built almost entirely on commercial sourcing, primarily from Carnegie, a brand licensed to an Upstate New York-area deli manufacturer (Old World Provisions) whose products dominate Jewish delis, bagel joints, and luncheonettes across South Florida. Pastrami. Corned beef. Chicken soup. Matzo ball soup. Cheesecake. Blintzes. Mustards. Condiments. It's all there, and it's all Carnegie. Many delis use Carnegie products. 3G's simply commits to the bit. A closer look at the deli case reveals Sy Ginsberg / EW Grobbel provisions as well -- most of them removed from cryovac packaging, just enough to give the impression that something happened between factory and plate. It didn't. Here's what I ordered: a BLT on toasted wheat. The rye -- the only thing I actually tasted, along with the pickles -- is the familiar "let's toast it because it's naturally mushy" variety. We arrived at 5:30 PM. It took about 15 minutes for the group to order. My sandwich arrived roughly 40 minutes later. It was cold. Not lukewarm. Not cooling. Cold toast. Cold bacon. I flagged the waitress and told her the sandwich was cold. She replied, calmly and without irony, that it's always cold. That ended the experiment. I had it taken back, declined to order anything else, said goodbye to the rest of the table, and left. I don't believe in suffering in silence, and I wasn't going to wait another 40 minutes for a hamburger just to confirm what was already obvious. The photos tell the story better than words ever could. This is not a kitchen expressing craft. It's a showroom of industrial consistency -- a place where the supply chain is the cuisine. And for what it's worth, the restaurant was absolutely slammed when I walked out at 6:30 PM, leaving nine other people behind. So no, none of this criticism actually matters. The people who go here love it. If you enjoy commercially produced Jewish deli food, sourced from a small handful of major suppliers and delivered with total predictability, you'll probably be very happy here. I wasn't. Waited 15 mins. finally she took orders. I ordered The New Yorker. Hot pastrami, hot corned beef, swiss cheese, cole slaw on rye bread, Russian dressing on the side. 20 mins. later it arrives with Russian dressing on it & extra in small cup. The bread is 2x normal size & wet from dressing. 15 mins. to get server who disappears again. She comes back I explain about no dressing & also ask for normal sized bread. 15 mins. more & she brings sandwich ice cold on normal bread. Pastrami is so fatty I can't eat it. Gross! Trinity could care less. She sends mgr. Giving. Very nice woman, apologizes & comps sandwich. Even when they're not busy, this place is circling the drain. read more

If you can get around the walkers and the people complaining while waiting for a table in the cramped front area - as there is always at least a 20 minute wait, then, you will be able to enjoy the many offerings on the menu. Not being a "steak house", we tried the Romanian steak dinner. Appetizer, beverage, main course, 2 sides and dessert. All served with complimentary fresh rye bread and a dish of pickles. Came back for a second visit, and I've got to say, they really earned their star this time. The service was much better, and we didn't have to wait as long. The manager was really friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was solid -- we ordered the same thing as last time since it's not something you find often on the West Coast: corned beef sandos with coleslaw and matzo ball soup. My wife was told it would be 10 minutes for table. 25 minutes later same lady said she could not estimate as "no tables". But new people were told 25 minutes more. A very old crowd that must live in King's Point or the other senior developments. They have a very large and diverse menu. I had been coming here for years whenever I visited my mom in Delray. She moved away from Florida several years ago, but she had such fond memories of the place that she requested that, when she passed away, family would gather at 3G's for a meal together after her funeral. And so we did last week. There were seven of us and we were seated without a long delay. We were given a nice table with plenty of room to stretch and eat and converse. I didn't mention that this was a special occasion, but we were still treated like family. Very friendly service by a team of servers obviously trained to work together for seamless operations. Several of us ordered matzoh ball soup, and the waiter properly asked if we wanted the soups first so that the meal would be at the pace everyone wanted. When we were seated, a ridiculously large plate of rye bread came out with butter for the table. We laughed at the size of it, but it didn't stop us from eating it. Excellent bread. We also received a plate with a variety of pickles. The soup was delicious and chock full of chicken, carrots, celery, etc. The broth was also tasty with a large fluffy delicious matzoh ball. Each of us ordered either a deli sandwich ( mostly Rachels), a chicken salad sandwich on a cranberry bread, with one opting for an omelette. The portions were huge, with almost everyone taking a half sandwich home. Everyone thought the food was delicious. I normally take pictures of food for my Yelp reviews, but forgot to this time. My mother loved coming here over the years and we consistently enjoyed our visits to3G's. The food at 3G's is good. Very popular place. My experience was limited to carry out. I ordered a half a lbs of Lean Corned Beef. I took home Corned Beef with fat. When I showed the manager the pictures of what I got he claimed that this is lean corned beef. I showed the pics to other restaurant managers and other customers and they disagreed. Saw this place on most of the Restaurant shows and was in Delrey visiting a client and had to check it out . My favorite food !!!!! My mom used to make split pea soup like this and it was amazing , thick n tasty enough for 2 people . The corned beef sandwich was good splittable but not really . The coleslaw was not my favorite kinda mayonnaisey I like it with a twang but different strokes for different folks , but the pickle sealed it with a kiss . Being a New Yorker I'm always gun shy and leery of Floridians who claim that a deli is good, or on the level of a New York City deli or that there's any comparison to anything New York ... even from the weathered and seasoned New Yorkers who now claim South Florida as their own, including my folks. For once, they got it right. 3G's is all that and a bagel too. Food was delicious. Portions were ginormous. Prices were reasonable and the service was perfection. The server was awesome.
