She looked like the world's coolest, most over the top grandma, or like a cross between Joan Rivers and Cruella DeVille. I was looking for a gift for a friend and I told her I don't want to spend more than $50. She showed me several pieces that were exactly $50 and a few that were $60 to $65. That's exactly what she should have done! That's what you would do too, right, as you know these self-imposed price caps are somewhat arbitrary? I bought a nifty bracelet with an adjustable chain thingy for just over $60. She wrapped it beautifully in a box with a fancy bow. Marlene of Marlowe's is cool, she's old school and no nonsense and her look is unique and it's so un-Princeton, where everyone looks perfect and constrained and conformist. They came highly recommended from another local business owner and so we gave it a go. The owners are brothers and are BOTH extremely personable and VERY professional! They have been around since 1981 apparently and it is very easy to see why. It seems that a few of the family members work together there, and they are all just as helpful and friendly.
