Save yourself the money and go straight to their supplier... AMAZON. They charged us $200 for a ring that can be bought on Amazon for $20. A 1000% markup on something any regular person can buy online. It's one thing if you buy something from a supplier and there is a reasonable markup... but this is straight up insulting! And a lovely policy of no refunds stated right at the bottom of your receipt. Bad service overall, wouldn't size me until they knew I was buying something. And to top it all off the slap in the face that my ring came from Amazon marked up to high heavens. A terribly unethical business and all they saw was a young couple with a baby that they could get one over on. read more

I'm not one of those people who reflexively believes that the "customer is always right." Sometimes poor or impulsive purchase decisions are made that the consumer has to own outright - like anyone who bought a Hyundai in 1986 or a Rottweiler because "they're great with kids." My experience with F. Phil Pratico Jewelers is not one of those times. When a consumer purchases an expensive watch from a jeweler he or she expects a reasonable amount of post-sale care. My watch crapped out a week beyond warranty and was abruptly told we can ship it overseas but the repair would likely cost a grand. Okay, so they're not offering to intercede with Omega (I did, to no avail) but I am on the wrong side of the warranty and I want a functioning watch so I agreed. Well, the six week promise turned into four months with no apology but I'm not their mother and if that's their tough love shtick, I'm done with any thought of repeat business. Fast forward three weeks and I was back with the same busted watch. Not one "that's terrible" or "we're sorry" just a monotone "we can ship it out again and see what happens."... on my dime. Screw that. I found a place in Philly that could repair it for a fraction of Pratico's jewel thief solution and years later, it's still humming - no thanks to this disreputable clown college. I politely visited the Pratico jewelry store looking to repair a pair of earrings , I did not wasting anytime looking around. The owner quickly looked at the earring and quoted a price that was unreasonable . I wanted 1 prong added to each earring . I politely proceeded to thank him for looking at the earrings and giving me a price. I immediately began to leave : that is when the owner began to insult me for no reason at all. I ignored the insults and left . I have lived in West Windsor for 30 years and I have purchased jewelry from the Pratico stores, the store on route 33 , the store on quakerbridge rd. in Hamilton, every time that I have purchased jewelry from them I was over charged. The Pratico jewelry family, siblings and all are nothing but a bunch of arrogant thieves that bully their customers . They need to put a sign on the front door of their stores that say we pick and choose what customers we want to do business with and we only do business with those customers we can rob!!! read more

Phil Pratico Jewelers is one of a kind and is the pinnacle in it's field, you can search everywhere, but will not find a better shop. What do I mean by it is the best? Is it the atmosphere? Yes. Is it the actual Jewelry? Yes. Is it the salespeople? Absofrickinglutely, friendly and just warm all around, no pressure but you could tell they had a real knowledge about their products. I just got engaged and need to be resized. My fiancé and I walked in and the man (the owner) who helped us was very rude and arrogant. He stated "is that ring even real?" First of all my fiancé was referred and traveled to NYC for my ring so I'm pretty sure it's real. I couldn't believe this was said to me the day after i got engaged! My son and I went in to Phil Pratico to see what they had on offer for his 21st birthday present. I mention to the lady behind the counter that we didn't know size and could she size him. The surprising, curt, response was "that depends on the ring, and we would only do that if you were only going to buy a ring here"... which was our intention by going in there! needless to say we're not buying anything from this shop ever..! I love the unique engagement ring that my fiance bought me from this store; we went to several other places and did not see anything that beautiful--just some less pretty versions of it (ones that had thinner shanks--a term that I learned while ring-shopping). They were also able to make a beautiful custom wedding band to match, and the price was reasonable. Plus, the people who work at this store and friendly, honest, and patient. Worst experience as a customer ever!! Do not go here! Went in with my wife to purchase what I thought was a men's 14k white gold wedding band (turned out to be cheap silver). After only 3 weeks of wearing the ring it was very dirty and hazy which is not normal for white gold. I had my father bring the ring in for a cleaning after contacting them to making sure that was ok, & that they offered that service. When he gave the ring to the sales women to be cleaned (same women who sold me the ring) she took several minutes of looking at it and talking about it being gold until she noticed there was a problem. She then ran to the back and got the owner Phil. He came out of the back and said that it was not the ring he sold us, and that we swapped it to with a silver ring to try and pull one over on him. I then went down to the store and tried to explain to him that it was the ring they sold us, but he continued to accuse me and my father of swapping it out on him. I asked to see what his copy of the recipt said but he told me I could get a subpoena. We didn't even take the ring back to get a refund it was only to get the ring cleaned and see why the "white gold" was tarnished and he instantly jumped to the conclusion that we swapped the ring.Not once while we were there did he take a second to look into the possibility that they might have made a mistake. Instead he just accused us of trying to "pull one over on him" got get a ring cleaned. I have since contacted the BBB and spoken with the police about the preposterous way me and my father were treated as customers. I will never do business with Phil Pratico again and let this serve as warning to anyone considering buying anything from his store. read more
