Orkin came in with a 'promise' to do up to 10 treatments and follow up with a dog. NONE of that was true! They only did 3 treatments for bed bugs and that every week instead of 14 days apart. They also collected money from the condo next to mine where the infestation began. Since they treated both units there should be NO problem giving a full 60 day guarantee unless they are not sure of their work. They are not willing to give a guarantee and they are not giving the follow up inspection with the dog. $2,000 is dammed expensive for only 3 treatments!! Called for a quote to get rid of wasps. It's $270 for the initial extermination and $170 every 2 months. This can add up. I told the lady or operator I need to consult with my husband. She said "so he's the decision maker of the family" I said no I just need to consult. Me and my husband talk about everything we make decisions together. She said "wow that's unfortunate" as if I asked for her opinion. That's how a marriage works numb nuts. Don't use Orkin. Solely for this reason I didn't call back. We went with another company. Western was half the price. They both offered the same thing but it took Orkin 3 days to call back and western called that day

I initially called Orkin and asked if they could come out and drill some holes in a wall and a ceiling and bring poison to kill the termites. They came out and said they could not find where the termites got in. That their recommendation was to tent the house. After getting screwed around by Orkin for weeks on a date when they could show up and tent the house. This Exterminator that Orkin called showed up and estimated this job at $1200 plus $350 to drive up from Riverside. I thought Orkin exterminators would do the work. But they told me they subcontracted the job out to another company. They said this was their first job for Orkin and had no idea what Orkin would charge me. Orkin told us maybe $4000 in the initial estimate. Weeks after the job was done I got a bill for around $3500. I guess they gave us a discount but I still felt like I got screwed. Kind of crazy that $900 of their bill is the 4 year Orkin Guarantee. When the company that showed up said they also guarantee their work. So I guess I am paying for two guarantees? Anyway I only contacted Orkin because when I went on google they had five star reviews. I never checked the reviews here on YELP. Guess I could have called around for Cheeper work myself and saved thousands. read more

I feel completely ripped off. No one can explain the pricing and it appears random based on who you talk to. Requested service for gopher eradicating and got signed into a year of pest control. Have called several times to discuss what I wanted to achieve. I wanted gophers gone, not whole house pest control. It appears their initial visit is a random fee based on nothing. Gophers are still winning. They used granular and traps like I did with no success. Discovered they were to trap only and no granules were to be used. Asked about gassing. Apparently they can do that but don't know the prices and only some techs have the machine. No clear answers. read more

I hired Orkin for mice and roaches. Later with one technician we found that there are roof rats and it took me calling 3-4 times over 2 weeks for this company to finally put down that we had a rat problem as well. When I asked for services, the technicians would show up some times with or without appointments and claim work was done to my house or that I was contacted even though I was not contacted or even aware of the appointments. More about the pest control, I have a SEVERE roof rat issue and it took this company so many times to even add this as an issue. Once the company did finally come out to check on the rat issue again, they put out 2 traps. Just 2 as thought my issue was a normal or regular case. My problem was a literal infestation and if I had been any more lax with this company then I may have lost my home to rats. Don't pay as much as they ask for because if you have a rodent issue, they cannot help you and they are not equip to solve real rat issues. I would also like to add that their service and customer service is trash. I went to their office to find a manager to tell them the issues I was having and I waited outside for 20mins on the phone with someone from their call center and all they could tell me was they don't know what's going on. Overall, this company is only here to deal with small issues and they aren't here to hear you out or talk to you about your pest control issues. So they'll take your money and if you have a real problem then you should probably look somewhere else. read more

Though once in a while, I don't get a call back and frustrates me, for the most part, they are prompt and wonderful people. They respect the time frame you specify for the spraying, and those once in a while "I have a mouse in ____" day...they come as quick as they can and I appreciate that. I think our guy is Tom. Orkin used to be good but somewhere along they lost their way because they obviously no longer care what the customer wants. They forgot.....they work for us. If we didn't get service from them.....we'll you get my point. We had a major bee problem and called to see if they could come out and they told us we had to wait for our regular service day......then later I guess they felt bad cuz of Nicoles bad customer service and sent email to say they would be out on Saturday....who reads their email on Saturday?? Actually we tried to send a reply but got another email saying the reply are sent bro an unmonitored mAilbox .So then they changed it back to the regular service day. They should have called but they don't care. We are going to have to find another pest control service as we have had way to many disappointments from them. Two nights ago, I noticed a scratching noise coming from within my walls--presumably a mouse. So I contacted Orkin Pest & Control hoping that someone would come out to take a look at the situation expeditiously--given the fact that they are listed as a 24/7 service provider. Did I get that? Not at all, instead a representative took down my information and told me that someone would get back to me tomorrow morning. And then the following day I still wasn't contacted! I thought about calling them back, but to be honest if they can't even give a courteous call, I really don't want to deal with this company. Very poor customer service. was quoted an extremely high price. i finally agreed to it because i wanted my problem fixed. once he got there, he noted that it was a really high price and was probably quoted bait traps which he did not have. went in and set traps, and sprayed. he did not fix the actual problem. he had the materials on his truck to fix the issue, but instead he showed me what i needed to go buy and fix it. for the almost $300 that i spend, all i received was 6 traps and some spray. he did not do what i was told would be done with i scheduled. when i called to complain and request a partial refund they told me there nothing they can do, because my payment already processed. which is bull crap to me. i DO NOT recommend this company to anyone, bugs, rats, mice, any issues at all i would NEVER recommend them to. this really deserves a negative star. read more
