We rented a carpet cleaner from a store and it did not function correctly. A replacement rental machine worked better- but still poorly, as neither machine was able to suck up all the soapy cleaning solution. The rental machines caused a mess! Sticky soap residue was spread throughout other areas and the bad dog odor was better but not fully removed. Finally a good idea: bringing in a professional to take care of our mess! Lucas Home Solutions was able to quickly work us into their schedule. Their work was professional & efficient. They were able to remove all the soap residue the rug doctor machine left in the carpet, along with all the odor from the sick dog. We will never make that mistake again. Never rent a carpet cleaner!! Use a professional.

I went one year with white grout and it made me paranoid about the grout getting dirty. I used the Angie app to get estimates from contractors. I got about 4 estimates and going with the Grout Restorer was a no brainer. Martin was always on time for the estimate as well as the job. He provided a through estimate and he was the most knowledgable of all the people that came to my house to survey the job. I had Martin and his team of four people come and do work on my house. I didn't believe that they'd be able to finish the job in a day but they did! His team is very professional and they are super kind people. Karen especially went above and beyond with her work. I'm a perfectionist so having it look perfect was important to me. The grout color that I had told Martin I wanted ended up looking more brown than I expected. Even though the team had done almost two rooms, Karen was able to color match a grout color that made my tile and grout blend together to the point where you didn't notice the grout anymore. They all did such an amazing job. Martin also doctored my bathroom showers and made them look new again. I'm so pleased with their work. I could never have done the job they were able to do. They are very talented people and I cannot recommend them enough.

He cleaned all the grout first so he could match the color of the grout. Earlier this year, I had called a local carpet cleaning company to clean our carpeting and they said they could also clean the grout in our tile. I agreed and they cleaned the tile/grout. While it appeared better than before, the grout was not consistently clean. Since then, we have had a number of spots where the grout crumbled. I had observed none recently. On further investigation, I did have a serious wastewater backup. I suspected that it was due to Comcast installing fiber optics in the neighborhood, drilling in the area of water/sewer pipes. So, the rest of the afternoon, Hunter worked with a camera and an auger to locate the blockage. He located it, but it was the lateral under my neighbor's driveway, which needed to be resolved by the utility company. Hunter asked me to let him know the outcome. It turned out to be a big deal. Indeed, the clay pipe was broken by Comcast's subcontractor drilling to install fiber duct. So, I knew there would be finger-pointing the like. I got it resolved, after a call to the PSC and a lot of back-and-forth. Sunshine Water sucked out the sewer and repaired the cracked pipe. I texted Hunter when the repair was complete, sending him photos of the cracked Clay pipe. I had shared his report with Sunshine Water, which gave them confidence in locating the break. This was very helpful because they couldn't get a camera in there due to the pipe being full of *(**&*&*. After I texted Hunter, he called me to ask how it went. I gave him the lowdown. In my long experience with home repair contractors and service companies, I have rarely encountered employees like Hunter. He left a job with loose ends beyond his control, but he cared enough about the job to want to know how it was resolved. Please thank him for me. And if I need plumbing services in the future, Modern Plumbing Industries is who I'll be dealing with. They're straight shooters, they communicate, they show up, and they have employees who give a damn. Thanks for staying family-owned!

Phil responded and gave me a couple quotes based on photos I sent but gave a realistic expectation that he would need to see the piece in person due to the damage being against the grain to see if an in-home touch up could be done or if the entire surface would need to be refinished (no one else I contacted even mentioned this and some charged for an in person evaluation which Adam's Furniture Repair doesn't). He came and evaluated the piece and we decided to do an in home touch up which I'm really pleased with! I've had this piece since I was a child so it has sentimental value as well as being a quality piece. He also did a couple smaller fixes on two other pieces of furniture I had. He's very knowledgeable about wood furniture repairs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!
