I don't often leave reviews unless I have something either really positive or really negative to say, so the folks at Orleans Market and Pub were outstanding and truly went above and beyond with their level of service, quality, packaging, presentation and plating. My wife had been a bit under the weather going into Mother's Day weekend, so we opted to have the whole Sunday brunch catered. From the initial contact, helping us decide the menu, invoicing and payment, pick up scheduling and finally consumption, it was a flawless experience. Even the way they packaged the individual poached eggs so that we could assemble our own eggs Benedict showed the hugest level of care ans attention to detail. We grabbed a few drinks and ordered a brisket sandwich with coleslaw and some chicken salad. The service was great when ordering the food and at the bar. The brisket was good but we weren't fans of the coleslaw or chicken salad. It wasn't the worst I have ever had but I wouldn't get it again. There are several seating options both inside and outside and we really liked the decor. The view from the parking lot is amazing. We would definitely stop back in if we are in the area. read more

Tonight was our first time here and we came to try out the special Valentine's Day dinner menu. The staff was very welcoming and made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. Our table was ready marked reserved w/sparkling waters awaiting us. Our starter salads came out first. The salad was so delicious and fresh. Our main course quickly followed, a juicy perfectly cooked T-bone steak for my husband and tasty chicken cordon bleu for me. It was sooo delicious and our plates were empty in a matter of seconds. I'm still thinking about the sauces mmmm! Last but not least we got the freshest chocolate covered strawberries I have ever had and a smooth buttery Creme brûlée that was to die for. Ordered their Jalapeno Cheddar Burger. I said add ketchup, mustard, and onions. Looked at my receipt. They charged me 55c for onions, no biggie. But I was banged 25c for ketchup and 25c for mustard. Both were on the table. I ordered at the counter. The cashier should have mentioned it. Or, maybe they shouldn't charge for normally free condiments when they're also sitting on the table? I was heading back home after visiting a winery and decided to go a different route than the way I came in - for exploration purposes - when I came across The Orlean Market. Being somewhat hungry, I ventured in to see what potential food glories were contained within. They have a small Deli area - you can get breakfast sandwiches as well as traditional lunch sandwiches. I ordered something I've not had in a very long time - a Bologna sandwich! On a nice Rye bread with cheddar, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion. I got it to go and ate in the car. While this might seem like a mundane sandwich to order - it was really good and hit the spot! This is also a small convenience store - so you can get basic food staples here: canned goods, chips, milk, soda, water, and more. The young lady working the counter was very nice and friendly. Went to a favorite restaurant tonight Orlean Market. Ordered a personal pizza with double cheese and double pepperoni. Got it and the dough was raw. The bottom didn't have any color, and it looked like a normal pepperoni pizza. I ate one piece and felt a little grossed out. Left the rest and by the time the server came back, (drinks were long empty) she apologized and asked if we wanted it cooked more. I told her I was not interested and just take it back. She said she would take it off the bill. So, she came back with the bill and the pizza was still on it. My wife asked why, and she said that it was not cooked because I added too many toppings.... I was a frequent patron of this place but I'll find another that has better business decisions. I added a pic of the double pepperoni. Pretty sad especially if you look on their page, it shows a pepperoni pizza with way more pepperoni than mine did. read more

One summer a long time ago, a pony named Boomer took four of his buddies on a 3 mile hike to the Orlean Market. They didn't need people.. Boomer was the boss. That's how wonderful the Orlean Market is. The owners of the store saw that the mischievous four-legged group made it home safely. I should preface with we haven't been in a while. This market/pub has lot of potential but seems to be plagued with lack of staff. The last time we had dinner there, our meal took forever (almost an hour) and arrived stone cold. When an establishment is charging premium prices for entrees, the service needs to be top notch. The market is handy for those living close by but check the expiration dates on refrigerated items! We have found many items past their expiration date. It's difficult to find the words to describe just how terrible the food at the Orlean Market is! After years of not patronizing it, we called to order a pizza yesterday for dinner. Was told they are out of large pizzas --- was not offered 2 small pizzas for the price of a large, which would have been the logical thing to do...Crust was similar to cardboard - although cardboard might be better - toppings were stingy (to put it mildly) and green pepper was completely raw, seemingly throw on after cooking. Two small pizzas with 3 toppings for the outrageous price of $34.00. Sure won't be back. read more

Sunday brunch at Orlean Market was lovely. Food was great, staff were friendly and helpful, and the weather was perfect to enjoy sitting on their deck. We just had a fabulous lunch at Orlean Market. I had seen a photo on the Roadfood Instagram account and was intrigued by this little town (or "town") nearby that I'd never heard of. A beautiful hour's drive from Fairfax was enjoyable, but the delicious sandwiches were the highlight. They have a small menu of sandwiches (and a good selection of burger choices), but we ordered two of today's specials: I had a pork belly sandwich with Sriracha and homemade pickles on a French baguette. Delicious! My husband had a simple lamb sandwich, which turned out to be some of the best lamb I've ever had--and my family is Greek! Both the pork belly and lamb were from local farms. The owners are delightful and the restaurant and market are both attractive and comfortable. I look forward to returning for dinner, or for one of their regular events: a wine dinner once a month and a last-Friday of the month Community Jam. Great place for lunch and I can't wait to return for dinner. I believe they have a Sunday brunch, but some events and hours are seasonal, so you'll want to check before heading out there. read more

Great place for a quick Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. Had breakfast last Sunday. The Sunrise Special has 2 eggs cooked how you like, choice of meat, and fresh potatoes as hash browns. You can choose your own drink from the large cooler in the market. Or if you want coffee, there is a self service coffee area. I've also been here for lunch. The steak and cheese sandwich is very good. There is large selection of deli sandwiches, different burgers, soups, pasta & veggie salads. There is fresh deli to buy by the pound as well. I am looking forward to warmer weather so we can have a bottle of wine on the outside patio with some friends. Great little place if you're ever near Orlean. It's a 15-20minute drive from Warrenton. Really neat little market in the heart of Orlean. They have a restaurant attached, but I haven't eaten there yet. The market side offers coolers with drinks, including wine & beer. They sell snacky foods like chips & stuff, but they also have an awesome setup for breakfast. This is where I've eaten many times and it is SO good! I get the bacon, egg, & cheese on wheat and it's awesome every time. They also offer the sandwich with different meats: country ham, spam, scrapple, sausage, etc. They have a lot of options for breakfast - you can't go wrong! read more

Had the good fortune last evening to attend an Italian wine pairing dinner prepared by Chef Nick Forlano, he didn't disappoint. All 5 courses were classic Nick at his best. If you've had his food before then you're familiar with the simple approach to using great ingredients and letting them speak for themselves. The gnocchi is still calling my name and the bolognese could've been served by the gallon, damn it was delicious. Orlean Markets trajectory is on the rise culinarily with Chef Nick at the helm. After a long day of hiking, my friends and I just wanted good food, cold beer and a nice patio to sit on. We were told to go to Orlean Market. Staff - EVERY staff member was SUPER friendly and SUPER helpful! Everyone had a smile on their face and accommodated our every need! Food - All four of us LOVED our food! The tuna melt - amazing; the fish tacos - amazing; the breakfast burger - amazing & the prime rib cheese steak - amazing. Everything was delicious!!! (Not to mention there was barely a wait for us to get our food!) Beer- Cold and reasonably priced! Patio - Gorgeous! If you love the small town feel - this place is for you! I've ridden my motorcycle several times from the town of Harpers Ferry WV just to have a pulled pork sandwich for lunch here. I take back roads and it's a lovely ride. Thinking about the fine sandwich I'll soon be consuming, I'm salivating like crazy the last 10 miles.
