Walked in without a reservation on a Thursday night and had a short wait. Restaurant was HOT, not sure if the air was messed up or if it just wasn't able to keep up. Once seated, we waited almost 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken, then 10 more minutes for our appetizer order to be take. Appetizer was out and we were enjoying it before our food order was ever taken. Once we placed our food order, we waited less than 10 minutes for it to be served. The crawfish cornbread appetizer was very meh, nothing to rave about. It tasted like jiffy, with dry, old oil crawfish tails on the top. Salad bar trip was something out of the 90s, very unimpressed with it, as the vibe this place seems to be going for it just did not fit. I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye grilled and the garlic whipped potatoes. Both were good, the potatoes did need some salt but overall was decent, but again nothing to just talk about over and over. Husband had the soft shell crab. When he ordered it, our waitress came back to our table and asked if he wanted the crawfish étouffée on top or the blackend shrimp. He was confused as he was under the impression, it didnt come with that, since it wasn't stated on the menu. He told her he guessed he would take the black and shrimp, but to please put them on the side, he did not want anything to interfere with the taste of the crab. When we received our ticket, we had been charged for the blackened shrimp. We asked our waitress about it and she told us she would remove them for us, because she thought that they came with the meal as well and it was a mistake in the system. When she brought us our new ticket to the table, she said well I guess your blackened shrimp are just on me tonight, super rude with a bad attitude and left! We were both stunned by this gesture. The crab left a lot to be desired, he would not order again, his green beans also needed salt and lacked overall flavor. Overall we give it a 5.5/10. Minden desperately needs a restaurant, but this one missed the mark for us.

The photos are from our previous visit not 2/12 Updated Review - 2/12/26 We went for dinner last night. The food was good, as it usually is. I had the prime rib special--solid 3.75 out of 5. My wife had the Trinity pasta, which she really enjoyed, along with the crawfish cornbread, which was also good. I asked for a glass of red wine listed on the menu, but the server said they no longer served it. I wasn't sure if that meant they were out or if it had been discontinued, but either way, it happens. Our server was clearly overbooked with tables, so service was a bit slow at times. That said, she was incredibly sweet and apologetic throughout the night. At one point, she came back visibly upset after the owner had spoken to her. We didn't hear what was said, and he didn't appear to yell, but it was obvious she was shaken. What the owner may not have realized is that she was handling a lot of demanding tables and doing her best. There is a $25 reservation fee, which is deducted from the final bill. I later realized I tipped based on the total minus that $25 (which I assume the house keeps, though I'm not 100% sure). To make sure she was taken care of, I also gave her an extra $20 cash tip on top of the 22% tip left on the card. One piece of feedback for ownership: if you own a restaurant, talk to everyone, not just the people you know. One owner did stop by to ask how our food was; the other didn't interact with anyone who didn't seem local. This is the second time I've noticed that. The food is good, but something about the overall experience always feels a bit off. I don't just go out to eat for good food--I want a pleasant, welcoming experience. My money is hard-earned, and honestly, I can get friendlier engagement from a manager at a chain restaurant than from at least one owner here. Minden doesn't have a large enough customer base to rely only on locals. If people drive 30-45 minutes to dine with you, they should feel welcomed--or they simply won't make that drive again.

Walked in on a Friday night with no reservation and got seated immediately. The restaurant was very nice with a nice welcoming atmosphere. Service was great. We were immediately waited upon, NEVER had to wait for a refill, and waitress Lindsey treated us very well. We started with the chargrilled oysters. I'm a bit of an oyster snob, south Louisiana has spoiled me. They were good chargrilled oysters. Not great, but still pretty good. The blackened redfish filet was blackened and seasoned to perfection. The garlic whipped potatoes were delicious. French onion soup and bread was phenomenal. Overall we loved this restaurant and will be back to try more of the menu. A very good addition to downtown Minden.

The food is excellent. The staff are so polite. The decor of the restaurant is pretty cool to check out. It's a very comfortable place.

I'm so grateful that Yelp led us here!…read more This deli is located inside of BonTemps gas station right off of Hwy20 and is definitely NOT your average gas station food! They have a good selection of burgers, sandwiches, wrap & po'boys to choose from along with sides. They also have a counter with some house made ready to go food. I even saw a big pot of gumbo. I got a TURKEY BLT with no cheese. It comes on a fresh jalapeño cheddar bread that was not spicy - just very good. The turkey was shaved turkey with a healthy topping of bacon & lettuce. The BLT spread seems like a mayo spread with chopped bacon, tomato, & herbs. It was really light and good. My husband loved his SHRIMP PO BOY. He said the breading on the shrimp was delicious & bread was good. Our only regret was not getting fries or onion rings to try. There are several tables to eat i side and a couple right out front. There appeared to be several locals coming in to pick up food while I was waiting about 10-15 minutes for our food. I would highly recommend stopping here to eat vs your average gas station or fast food.

I ordered the Great American Burger on the Jalapeño Cheese Bread. I have to say that this burger was really tasty. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a pic. Will definitely go back. Edit - Went back again the very nect day and added fries. Super good.
