Several of did take out. The order came out quickly. One order was incomplete when we got to the office. We called and they made it right. Food was tasty--the pulled pork is tender and flavorful. Interior is fun, but will sit on patio if we eat in. They one area that is covered but opens to patio. Prices are reasonable.

Gracie was a great server. The ambiance was cool. However the portions for everything were very very very small for the price. The leg quarter was so small you would've thought that it came from a Cornish hen. Nothing really tasted unfavorable or bad but I don't know who's better at making you pay way more for less...Bodacious or Silver Star grill. Will probably not be back.

Literally walking distance from my house so really wanted to like it and was very pleased. Very friendly wait staff with the kind of cooperative service you only see in finer dining establishments. The ambiance is also exceptional for a BBQ restaurant with a large well-stocked bar and a large group of locals. We were concerned when the parking lot had so many cars, but it is a large place and the service was fast. The food came quickly and was everything I want from BBQ: moist and spicy. The sides were home-made quality with sweet baked beans, savory tender green beans, and spicy red beans and rice. We had the three meat platter with hot sausage (not too hot), pulled pork, and sliced brisket. We also had brisket tacos. The meals were served with pickled onions and pickles. A nice touch was the warmed BBQ sauce! We went early so we could enjoy our Great Raft draft beers at happy hour prices (from 2-6 pm not 4-6 as on the website or 4-5 as printed on the menu). We were very satisfied and will make this a regular spot!

Love, love, love this place VERY clean, family friendly environment well decorated with a touch of southern love, They have an amazing friendly staff the food is delicious and the drinks are even better. I stopped in today for a lemon drop martini accompanied by complimentary pork skins I didn't get to photo my other food but don't hesitate to stop in a grab some of the best barbecue in town I give it 5 stars because the smoked ribs are to die for :) see ya again soon!

The beef tips were good, but cold. The fries were the best thing here. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Someone ordered a Botato and it shrunk compared to what I used to get at the Bossier location years ago.

Great venue. The bar is centered which is perfect when you catch the pun in the name of the establishment. I had the brisket on Texas toast and a side of baked beans. You have to get the brisket at a new Q place. If the brisket is great, then you dive into the menu on the next visit. The brisket is great. So consequently there will be future visits. Beans are exactly as they're supposed to be, smokey, hearty and not dry. Very Good is the rating this time. It will improve as I explore the menu. Keep doing what you're doing.

I've stopped here a few time going thru Shreveport. Close to the Interstates (I-49 & I-20). Amazing service (and servers) and great food!!! I'm sure there's other BBQ places, but this is a clean, busy place that's easy to find. Plenty of parking too.

The brisket and MAC and cheese was very dry.. The corn was overly seasoned and oily

The so called smoked wings were extremely salty and didn't even taste smoked. The ambiance was very nice and the service was great.

Family friendly. Good value. Pabst Blue Ribbon in big cans. There's live music tucked away in the front corner.

Food quality not up to par for bbq in my opinion. For the price food portions pretty small.

I really like the new location. It is as close to real Texas brisket as I've found in NW Louisiana. Best wishes for this restaurant.

Do not miss the Magnolia Pit if you're within driving distance of Shreveport. My husband, kids,…read moreand I were in Shreveport visiting family over Christmas, and everyone was tired of cooking and eating leftovers. We heard this place was good, so off we went. The first thing we noticed was the secret, speakeasy vibe. Off the bright street we entered a short, dark hallway with "brick covered" revolving door. You just have to see it. Once in the "Pit" we were greeted by one of the friendliest cashiers. He seemed genuinely happy to be there, and he was super helpful as we made our selections. The kids and I got the Pit Master so we could try a little bit of everything. It came with portions of brisket, chicken, ribs, sausage, turkey, and their firecracker pork belly bites as well as four sides of your choice, corn bread, cheddar beer bread, and two desserts. Hubby got a brisket cheddar melt. We ended up with so much food we brought home leftovers for another few meals. Holy smokes! Let me say, I've lived in San Antonio for the last 15 years and eaten A LOT of bbq around the state. Aaron Franklin in Austin has long had my heart for bbq. But the Magnolia Pit in Shreveport does not play. Everything was seasoned well, and juicy, but the brisket...oh the brisket! Perfect bark, nice and juicy, and not fatty at all. My non-foodie kids liked the ribs so well, we had to order a couple extra. If you are not familiar with pork belly or burnt ends, I highly recommend at least getting the firecracker pork belly bites as an appetizer. We all thought they were phenomenal. The brisket melt sandwich was thick and so flavorful. I can see why it is one of the most ordered things on the menu. Sometimes the sides are an afterthought at bbq joints. Not at the Magnolia Pit. The corn maque choux is crazy good. It's creamy, smoky, and has a bit of a kick. The potato salad tasted homemade, and the dirty rice was a fun surprise. Do not miss the creamy macaroni and cheese that is topped with bbq schnibbles. The kids went to town on that. I swear we took a couple to go boxes, and did not eat it all in one sitting! Do the same when you go, because their in-house made desserts are so good. We shared the bread pudding and the buttermilk pie. Fantastic sauce to pudding ratio on the bread pudding. The pie was so smooth and creamy, I may just order one to take to my in-laws' next time I'm in town. Anyway, do yourself a favor and get on over to the Magnolia Pit. The food, ambiance, and friendly staff made this a fun adventure I can't wait to go on again.

Had the brisket sliders with chimmichuri sauce and it was divine! The cheddar beer bread was to die…read morefor as well! Definitely recommend this place although parking can be a little bit difficult.
