First time my wife and I had eaten here. We'd been to a eye doctor appointment and asked each other what are you hungry for? She said BBQ and I said beef, thinking steak or burger. It was 1530 (3:30 pm) by now. This was the 4th place the Google Map led us to after three failures. We were seated and served instantly by a young smiling hostess then a waitress. The waitress answered every question we had about the foods on the menu, including the portion sizes (generous). My wife chose the Jalapeño and Jack Cheese Links with baked beans and crispy fried okra. I picked the Sliced Brisket, cole slaw and crispy fried okra. Our appetizer was a fried string onions with a garlic flavored ranch dip. We are picky about our okra, we want it crispy, crunchy and served hot. This was perfect! The atmosphere was open, tables only, several tvs, on (sports), the staff were all inviting and friendly, the waitress was always asking if we needed anything everytime she went by. The restrooms were clean and the children's drawings in the hall cheered the place up. (I especially liked the green pig with the yellow head.) They gave us the military discount, probably offer first responders discount as well. We would highly recommend the Shreveport Bodacious BBQ on Line Ave and will go again! read more

first time trying this place today and i'm upset we have waited all this time. the outside is very warm and inviting. the inside is super cute and modern. i loved how it was decorated. we were immediately greeted and seated. our server was actually amazing. i wish i remembered her name but wow, 12/10 service. the food?? yea, they did their big one today. we both got meat plates as well as their crab dip with chips. wow wow wow. also, very reasonable prices for the massive amount of food you get. plus, they offer a military discount. can't wait to return! read more

Beans were not like I hoped. Love Podnuh's beans so much but these tasted exactly like Bush's Baked Beans from a can with a tiny bit of meat thrown in. The brisket was good. All the food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Good vibes. Plenty of seating and parking. We got the triple dip with spinach artichoke dip, pimento cheese dip and andoiulle dip. The brisket tacos were tender and the right size. Botato was huge. Enough for 2 people. The Bofries had queso and shredded cheese on them. We went during brunch time so we got $4 bloody marys. Thr Bodacious bbq rub was on the rim. It had a good flavor. Thr banana pudding is good as well. Great texture. Make sure to ask for pork rinds. They are not on the menu. read more

I can't believe I waited so long to come here. I love bodacious! I probably visit once or twice a week. The bar staff is always super friendly and very efficient. They have great happy hour specials, as well as great food. I come here to work sometimes and can plug in my computer right at the bar. Everyone is super friendly. And they're always plenty of seats. I like the smoked wings! And the French fries are always fresh and crispy. They have brunch on Saturday's and Sundays with a special menu as well as $4 mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Several of did take out. The order came out quickly. One order was incomplete when we got to the office. We called and they made it right. Food was tasty--the pulled pork is tender and flavorful. Gracie was a great server. The ambiance was cool. However the portions for everything were very very very small for the price. The leg quarter was so small you would've thought that it came from a Cornish hen. Nothing really tasted unfavorable or bad but I don't know who's better at making you pay way more for less...Bodacious or Silver Star grill. Will probably not be back. read more

The so called smoked wings were extremely salty and didn't even taste smoked. The ambiance was very nice and the service was great.

Literally walking distance from my house so really wanted to like it and was very pleased. Very friendly wait staff with the kind of cooperative service you only see in finer dining establishments. The ambiance is also exceptional for a BBQ restaurant with a large well-stocked bar and a large group of locals. We were concerned when the parking lot had so many cars, but it is a large place and the service was fast. The food came quickly and was everything I want from BBQ: moist and spicy. The sides were home-made quality with sweet baked beans, savory tender green beans, and spicy red beans and rice. We had the three meat platter with hot sausage (not too hot), pulled pork, and sliced brisket. We also had brisket tacos. The meals were served with pickled onions and pickles. A nice touch was the warmed BBQ sauce! We went early so we could enjoy our Great Raft draft beers at happy hour prices (from 2-6 pm not 4-6 as on the website or 4-5 as printed on the menu). Been gone from the area for four years, but used to frequent the place in south Bossier. So upon my first return, I was happy to find a new spot on Line Avenue. Really enjoy the brisket with a side of fried okra. Friend had the ribs, and they looked so good. Portions were generous. Everything was great, including the service. The dessert was disappointing, though. Thought I might get something resembling my mama's banana pudding since the server said it was homemade. It was box pudding mix with cookies thrown in. Never found any bananas, and the pudding had an artificial taste. Miss Terry, if this is your place, improve on that banana pudding and I'll come back sooner than in 4 years!!! read more

Great venue. The bar is centered which is perfect when you catch the pun in the name of the establishment. I had the brisket on Texas toast and a side of baked beans. You have to get the brisket at a new Q place. If the brisket is great, then you dive into the menu on the next visit. The brisket is great. So consequently there will be future visits. Beans are exactly as they're supposed to be, smokey, hearty and not dry. Very Good is the rating this time. It will improve as I explore the menu. Keep doing what you're doing. read more

My Husband and I decided we would give this place a try for date night. I've eaten from Bodacious before wayyy back in 2003 and the potatoes were very delicious. I figured since they just recently opened this nice new location. The outside of the building looks great! It was a Tuesday evening around 6:30 and they were having trivia night. We didn't participate in the game as we came just to enjoy dinner together. This entire dinner was a waste of money. All of the food was dry and lacked flavor. I spent $89.00 for good customer service and a tasty King Cake martini! The food was nasty and over priced. Just my opinion there need to be some improvements fast regarding the food or this location will not be successful. Stopped here for lunch as I was in the area and this is a new restaurant and bar. Ordered the sliced brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. The brisket was good and the bun was a good hearty bun. However, the potato salad was way too dry. It needed a lot more mayo and mustard. And evidently it is a requirement for all the waitresses to have a nose ring and other piercings. It does not bother me as long as the service and food are good! read more

I normally eat there once a week, but due to the Holidays & change in weather, I wasn't able to revisit for about a month later. I called Bodacious and ask for the Manger PJ. Right away remembered me my name & phone call complaint on a very specific order. He personally took it upon himself to remake my previous order to ensure it was "Hot" & "Fresh" & made sure I was completely satisfied before I left. Come on now. One meal was to have slaw and fried okra, he got dry potato salad, tasteless, and the okra. For $88. Never ever again. Completely disappointed with the chopped beef samwich. Instead of them taking the time to chopped the brisket after the order, it was pre-chopped and looked like it was mixed in a bowl and then stirred up with bbq sauce. It looked more like pulled pork than chopped beef. No telling how long it had been sitting in that pot before they served it to me. It was really tasteless compared to the way most bbq places prepare their sandwiches. Also I was really disappointed in the bbq beans. Only thing I would go back for is the fried okra. They should go down and visit the the York Chop in Coushatta so they can see how great bbq is made. read more
