Back bar, from the alley/stage area
    Jeff P.

Decent food. It was mostly Really Good(!) but one of us got the half-chicken and rice that was so over done it was inedible, visibly overcooked yet served. The frozen drinks are okay, but the bar makes up for this by making them Really Strong. +1 Don't go for the "oh, it's a daiquiri place", go for the "hey East Bank Mafia biz has a good bar with mostly tasty food" and you probably won't be disappointed. Major bonus points for the alley concert venue and related bars all up and down the street. Except that axe throwing place. The idiots need to learn how to operate music players in a bar with live music. Ridiculous.

This is my second time having the sirloin medium well with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables and everything about it is absolutely fantastic! Service was attentive and the food came really fast given how busy it was on this Friday night. The drinks are great. One of my family members ordered the oysters which were delicious...another ordered the EBM drunk chicken and rice which has a wonderful flavor. It was a giant piece of chicken as well. Great prices for the quality of everything. Please call...

I love frozen Pirogue! I've been here quite a few times. But have most recently been coming for brunch. They no longer have a brunch food menu, but they still have the mimosa special. I believe it's $20 for bottomless. And they mean, bottomless, the pours are very tall. I like this place because there's plenty of seating, and it's an open air space. They also have live music on the weekends. The service is always great, the bartenders are very attentive. There's plenty of street parking as well as some parking in the back lot. It's easy to get to, and just a nice place to go all around. Oh and clean bathrooms! That's a big thing for me.

Today was my 3rd time going each time I had a good time, great food, good service and a good cocktail!!! They offer live music with an outdoor/indoor style restaurant which looks out to the stage area for the entertainment today I had an appetizer which was the PEPPER JACK FONDEUX highly recommended by customers along with a ETOUFEE BURGER (refer to photo) pretty good :) The menu gives CAJUN DOWN!!! So head on over there make your selection and maybe leave a review. Overall 5 stars for me

Happened in on Oyster special day, dozen on the 1/2 shell and a dozen grilled. Washed them down with a King-cake daiquiri. Great service at back bar. Large front and back bar and tables. With a large outdoor venue area.

    Oyster on half shell

Oysters on half shell were ridiculously small for price paid-- 75 cent special ended last week I was told. Oysters were salty though. Gumbo good

This restaurant was truly outstanding! The food exceeded my expectations, and the atmosphere was delightful! The atmosphere was fantastic, offering the best of both worlds. You can choose to sit outside and enjoy live music or opt for the indoor seating, where you can relax in the air conditioning. Inside, it's quieter, making it perfect for spending quality time with family or enjoying a more intimate date night where you can connect in a private yet enjoyable setting. The service was solid as well. I had the garlic Parmesan, which turned out to be even better than I anticipated. We also tried the red snapper étouffée, and the seasoning was spot on. While the menu didn't offer a wide range of options for kids the chips we ordered with the quesadillas were absolutely delicious. Definitely making an appearance again!

We arrived at 4:30 and parking was not an issue. (Additional parking in the back too) Getting a table was not an issue. We were sat right away, at a high 2 top near the bar. The doors were open and it was cold. I think the owner/ proprietor greeted us and took our order. This same gentleman checked on us 2-3 more times to ensure our server was managing. Cute young fellow, he did alright. Our appetizer and meals all arrived together, and we had to request refills, but not after a long wait. They were delivered promptly. The food was great. Hubs had the muffuletta and I had the chicken wrap. Potato skins app. 2 draft & one soft drink. $46 It was cold inside, as the doors were open when we arrived. The outdoor space was warmer given that it has space heaters. I almost would have preferred that. Overall I would say that they have some kinks to work out. I ordered a Russian Collusion, and it had been removed from the menu; so I just went with a draft. I think that I would go back. There's a lot on the menu that I want to try.

First time here. Heard the food was good and wanted to try a new place. Rear is open to the outside. We went to the front hoping it'd be cooler but it wasn't. Only 2pm when we got there and it was all ready full of drunks. Guy at another table took his boots off. Guess he needed to get comfortable. Acoustics were AWFUL. Amplified the already loud people and it was just way too noisy for me. The service was GREAT!!!! I got redfish etoufee with boiled shrimp and vegetables and my wife got stuffed blue crabs. In case you've never ate redfish it's a dry meat, not moist. All in all it was ok. Stuffed crabs were ok too. I wasn't overly impressed by the food and the high noise level and drunks didn't make it any better. Just wasn't my kind of place. They did have really good service though. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a drinker because that'd be the 1st reason to go and food the 2nd.

The place for LSU fans for sure. Party atmosphere with live music weekly. Prices are great value, staff is friendly. Parking is a challenge but it's a reason for that. This is the spot for great times and great memories. I personally was celebrating my birthday weekend with my wife. Madison was an awesome server.

The bread pudding was absolutely the highlight of the meal; it was hands down the best part and completely delicious. The food overall was pretty good, and everything was prepared well. The happy hour specials had to be asked about, however the bartender/server was very attentive and responsive. I ordered the Mango Cart beer along with the sampler of charbroiled oysters. The bartender also brought out some bread. I had high hopes for the oysters, and although you get a variety, they left me feeling somewhat disappointed. The Rockefeller had way too much spinach, the charbroiled was dry and had too much bread crumbs, the crab stuffed was okay and to my surprise the Diablo was my favorite. I also got some bread pudding which came out pipping hot. It tasted okay although it was too much for one person. Overall I gave the meal 4 stars The next day I came back with friends and we sat in the dining area. This was disastrous. The server let us know she was going to come back and help us after she got the LARGE group next to us taken care of but would put our order in first. Then she forgot about us. Actually told us she had already put their order in and proceeded to take our order. Then she had to come back and confirm (which was wrong) as she didn't write anything down. We started off with an order of crab stuffed mushrooms. Although the stuffing was tasty, as a whole it wasn't something I'd order again. I ordered the 1/2 & 1/2 - 1/2 poboy and gumbo. Food was just okay. The sandwich was dry, the gumbo was mostly rice. My friend, who we were celebrating, was disappointed with her food. When it came to the table she saw fries and asked was there an option and the server said yes, and she proceeded to ask her what she would have liked instead. However the fish was dry, the shrimp was overcooked and the veggies (that she replaced for the fries) was the highlight of her meal. Unfortunately we also both got sick which we assumed was from the mushrooms as it's the only thing we both had. So this visit gets 2 stars.

I attended with a local friend and he confirmed this is authentic. The experience: Friendly staff, a long restaurant with a bar section, followed by the condiments section, followed by a whole other bar somehow? I didn't poke my head back there but I found that intriguing. More on the condiments: They come with any sandwich. I probably took unfair advantage by taking enough lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to make an entire salad. I then asked for dressing, which they happily provided at no charge. And sandwiches? Do get. Delicious bread. The default bread appears to be the French - you could opt for their sourdough if you like - and it's not toasted. I love soft bread, and the po' boy was divine as a result. I loved the boudin. I loved that they have alligator sausage in multiple places on the menu. I loved everything about this place except the fact that summer means just about all of the beers were light, and I had to hunt and peck to find beers more my style. Which I did. And maybe those beers are lingering as I type this review. But BeauxJax gave me the warm, fuzzy, welcoming feeling I love in a restaurant. A great stop in Bossier. Worth a detour from Shreveport.
