This place is serving up delicious and authentic New Orleans cuisine. The prices are average or even slightly better than average compared to similar places. Better food too than the famous chain restaurants serving New Orleans style food! I'm definitely impressed with this place. You walk in and you wait to order, rather than sitting down and getting waited on. Word of warning, they won't let you get seating until you've ordered. Also there always seems to be a line, even after the lunch time rush. However they are amazingly efficient and crank the food out so fast! You only have to wait a few minutes! I got the combination etouffee (shrimp and crawfish). It was filling and lasted me two whole meals. The flavors were on point with a little kick of heat. My friends got the big easy platter which lasted them 2-3 whole meals. So much fried seafood and easily shareable among friends! The stuffed shrimp is delicious! The platter itself comes with one stuffed shrimp, 2 catfish filets, fried crawfish, fried shrimp, and fried oysters. All the seafood platters come with french fries but you can sub dirty rice at no extra charge. Overall the food is fresh and done very well. According to their menu they get fresh shrimp every day! There is seriously so much variety in their menu. Even if you don't like seafood there's good food for you! This place doesn't just do fried seafood! They have pasta, pork chop, and chicken dishes that sounded amazing! Their desserts look yummy as well, especially the chocolate mousse cake. This place has great food and great vibes! You kind of feel like you're in New Orleans for a hot minute. They have an Acme Oyster House sign and an old photo of Cafe du Monde, just to name a few pieces of their decor. On certain days they even offer special discounts like Sunday if you bring a pamphlet from your place of worship you get a discount. On one of the days there's a senior discount for ages 55+. What had happened to the quality and taste of the food at Orleans? The food used to be really good and was a restaurant that was consistently good but the fried catfish, the fries, the Crawfish étouffée and even the garlic toast are all flavorless, soggy and not the Cajun style that they used to prepare and serve. read more

So we returned and the service was much much better! Hopefully after COVID, the service can become its very best. In the meantime, just have to take what the pandemic is allowing. We really like Orleans Kitchen because they offer food full of flavor that doesn't set your mouth on fire! The Seafood Platter offers a generous selection of fried seafood that features perfectly cooked shrimp, catfish and crawfish plus a stuffed shrimp that has just enough breading to call it stuffed. The food here was amazing! Run don't walk to this spot! When u walk in you can either stand and view the menu or take a menu to your seat and view it. You have to give your order to the front and come back up and get it but that took nothing away from the ambiance. The place is spotless and set up just right. The frozen drink was very tasty but not strong. You'd probably need like three or four to feel a little buzz. We had the catfish with dirty rice and crawfish etouffe. The gumbo was like mud, the red beans and rice had 3 quarter circle pieces of sausage in it and all of the food was over-seasoned tasted like something out of a box. Cajun seafood doesn't get any better, at any price!! I've been going to Orleans Seafood for 8-9 years now and never had a meal any less that great. Their seafood gumbo is head and shoulders above Babin's and Pappadeaux's and just about any other seafood restaurant in the Houston area. Fried dishes are great as well as their Étouffées and grill entrees. My favorite dish is the Crawfish Étouffée with the Costa Rican Mahi in a close second. FLAVOR is the word of the day everyday at Orleans. I like to sit in the bar area where they have table service rather than wait in line at the counter. If you like Pappadeaux's you love Orleans, and you bank account will thank you. I'm not knocking Pappadeaux's, I go there often, but only when I want to entertain a client and have great table service, cocktails and wine. AND when it's a business expense! read more

So honestly nothing special. They have good flavor. My 3rd time here I had the pasta Baton Rouge. It was decent. The mushrooms needed to be cooked more. It was more on the crunchy side as well as the spinach. The chicken was seasoned well. I had shrimp added and it was seasoned well. Overall nothing special but you will get a good meal with flavor. Hubby and I ate there about a year ago and it was really good. Staff was friendly while we ate at the bar. So I took my friend to lunch there last month. The blackened chicken was dry and tough. Very disappointing since we both ordered it and neither one finished the lunch portion. We sat at a booth in the bar area and no one came by at all. My friend walked up to the bar and ordered drinks then the bartender brought the machine to the table to say it didn't process and to do it again.
