Ok, I have to shout out to this awesome Cajun restaurant that I ate at with family in Katy, Texas last week in celebration of birthdays for me, my mom and my brother. We took the whole family there for the first time. This was some of the best seafood I have ever eaten. And I had many items on the menu because I wanted to try as much as I could eat and more! HAHAHA! I even tried alligator! It was good! I also ate the crab bisque, the fried shrimp, the grilled catfish, the jalapeno cornbread and of course, they had french fries which I usually don't eat but I tried them and they were delicious. Took my family to lunch for our first visit to Orleans today and the food and service was SPECTACULAR. We shared the big easy platter and a couple pistollets and they were sooo good. We sat in the bar area since it's full service and the bartender Parker was very helpful with choosing the right dish and had a smile the whole time. He was a very nice young man and made some really good drinks. We will definitely be coming back for some more authentic cajun food and for some more tasty drinks from Mr. Parker! read more

Flavor and presentation were great! It's hard to have pretty takeout food, but Orleans Seafood Kitchen did a great job. Garlic bread, green beans, dirty rice, and grilled fish were delicious. The seafood gumbo was jam packed with shrimp and crab. I'll be back next time I'm in Katy! read more

I love this place! Been going for several years and always great food and great service! I like the seating format where you seat yourself and serve yourself. No tip required since there's no server. You can eat as fast as you want and run because you pay at the beginning. Sasha took our order at the desk and was super professional and polite! Noticeable difference from the average restaurant. A great find... I've passed by this place many times and thanks to my mom who recommended the place to me, I'm quite glad I decided to stop in. The interior was nice and cozy, with that New Orleans flair to it.I had the Big Easy platter and the NOLA Bomb, and both were very good! The stuffed shrimp was delicious, about the same quality as I had found at Pappadeaux, and that's a good thing. The rest of the platter was also delicious, even the oysters, shrimp, and crawfish. As for the NOLA Bomb, it was fruity, delicious, and gave me a good buzz. Will I be back again soon? You bet I will. I'm very leery of places claiming to serve Louisiana cuisine. Most times it lacks the flavors I'm accustomed to; however, I was pleasantly surprised this weekend. Service: If you're going to be inspired by our food, you gotta have the friendly spirit and I felt it when we entered. We were studying the menu but the waitress was extremely friendly and offered suggestions of what we should eat. Very cool of her. The waitstaff constantly cleaned up which is awesome. (I wish the bar wasn't so small because I think the bartenders would have been as helpful as the front counter but it was a Saturday. ) Food: Pistolette-surprisingly good! Very flavorful. It just needed more meat. The seafood platter was also pretty good. There were 2 decent sized pieces of fish, a reasonable amount of shrimp, and crawfish. The dirty rice tasted ok. The only thing I didn't like was the stuffed shrimp because the stuffing inside was a bit dry and there was very little meat inside. I'm used to stuffed shrimp bursting with flavor and decent sized shrimp. Drinks: The mixed drinks from the bar tasted pretty good as well. read more

Haven't been here in a while but it's definitely worth the drive. Food came out fresh and fast. Like within 5 minutes. Love the order at the front aspect so you don't have to wait for your check at the end. Gumbo was flavorful and had a lot of meat in it. fried Crawfish tails were seasoned to perfection. I will say this restaurant is doing great when it comes to handling day to day operations during COVID. There's sanitation stations at each table and etc. I'm originally from Louisiana and try to find spots that have food that are close to home. I first came here a few weeks ago and ordered the crawfish étouffée. The food is okay but I wouldn't call it an étouffée; the taste and color of the meal is similar to a gravy. I came back today to give them another try. I ordered the red beans and rice & fried alligator as an appetizer. The fried alligator is good. The red beans and rice is good as well but the beans could be cooked a little longer. I'm not crazy about the corn bread that comes with the meal it's bland. read more

We started to eat here about two years ago. The food is amazing and consistent each time. Orleans usually have a line that goes fast. My favorite is the chicken fried chicken that comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. Everything is extremely flavorful. The staff is extremely friendly, once your order is taken you are not waiting long considering everything is made fresh. I do wish that they would offer beignets and chicory coffee. read more

The Gumbo was delicious! Seriously good with big chunks of sausage. The crab fingers were great, but not quite as good as the gumbo. But both were honestly just a little pricey for what I got. $27 for one beer, one cup (not bowl) of gumbo, and one appetizer of crab fingers. And that was before tip. I was a little shocked when she told me the price. The place is pretty nice and the staff was very friendly, but I really hate the concept of walking through the restaurant to a counter a paying for your food there, and then having to go back to the counter to pick it up yourself, yet still feeling like you need to tip the staff. It's almost like a middle ground between fast food and a true sit down restaurant. Overall I would go back though. I would just make sure that I had some extra money to spend before hand. read more

Mother's Day lunch 2018: My husband drove us 45 minutes to this restaurant because we love seafood! We ordered and sat down, admires the ambiance, then I stepped away to the ladies bathroom in which I was greeted by a flying tree roach! Yikes! WTH! I expected more out of this place, it was crowded and food everywhere, seems like a popular place to go and has mostly 4 stars on reviews, but, today it disgusted me! I thought, what if there's roaches in the rest of the restaurant/kitchen!?!! I will not be coming back! I informed the manager and he had a clean u guy go in and kill it, but still, where there's one there's always more roaches!!!! Yuck! So unsanitary. Please, exterminate your restaurant! Repkas is in Brookshire a bit of ways away from Katy Yelp to the rescue when I searched for crawfish. This place is hopppin' busy busy busy but not so much that the young miss at the register didn't laugh and smile with me. Totally deserved the tip I added to my credit card receipt. Everything that I saw coming out of the kitchen for pick up looked scrumptious. I almost changed my mind like 10 times! 5 lbs of crawfish, boudin balls and some non amazing broccoli, salad and dirty rice. Some yelpers yelped that their boudin balls were great. They are ok. Usually this place is really good . This time we Brought the kidos after i was raving about It. The kidos got the kid meal with shrimp and fries and the other kid ordered catfish and fries. Unfortunately they did not like either dishes . My daughter said her catfish tasted like sand and only ended up eating the Fries and the saltine cracker. My other daughters shrimp she did not like because it tasted like something we could make out of the freezer . Unfortunately for the kidos meal.. it missed the mark and I ended up buying two meals that they did not eat . I ordered one od the salmon meals and usually it's amazing . Sad day at Orleans. I would usually order the Salmon Orleans with mashed potatoes and the spinach instead of fries and slaw. I was a regular until today. So as I'm ordering, I'm told that I can. No longer substitute fries or slaw for spinach. As it was, the spinach portions were getting smaller with each return dining experience. I was just trying to make a little healthier choice but I'm not paying extra for what was normally included. I know the price of meat has gone up but spinach? My neighbor suggested I contact Orleans Seafood Kitchen about catering my event, and they did not disappoint. We had a backyard pool party and I wanted to minimize the amount of people inside, so I opted for the food truck. The two individuals who showed up were so professional and friendly. Everyone thought the food was delicious and loved having the option to order food over 3 hours and as they got hungry. Okay! This place is legit! I got the catfish and shrimp plate with green beans ( omg why them green beans were seasoned so well! And they used FRESH green beans no canned. Definitely the best green beans I've ever had at a restaurant) and of course the egg rolls. MAAAAN when I tell you that was amazing.. it truly was. It was perfectly fried and packed full of flavor! This place gets packed during crawfish season. I only come once a year to get my crawfish fix in. The line is long but moves quickly. I go to the bar and get full service. The bar was full and had waiting chairs but luckily the self service tables next to the bar were empty and the bar accommodated us. This year my 2 lbs of crawfish was mixed. It had regular sized crawfish and small size fillers. The seasoning on the crawfish is good. I think this is what draws the crowd. The frozen drinks there is a nice variety. They are not too strong unless you add a shot. It more of a frozen drink at least it isn't too sweet. read more
