I saw Dr. Jeter for an epidural in my neck. I am a GIANT chicken and a potential flight risk (even in a hospital gown with an IV plugged in). My experience was SO positive and pleasant that I'd rather have an epidural by this talented Dr. than have my teeth cleaned! Dr. Jeter is kind, intelligent, and very skilled at her craft. I couldn't be happier with them (not so much with myself for cutting my finger), but every interaction with them, whether it be online, on the phone or in person, this was top notch service and care. Well this remains our families orthopedic go to office and low and behold yet another sports injury occurred today. Lucky me! I was out for my afternoon run when all of this social distancing finally got me, and got me good. I made a move to go around a woman and her dog 5 miles into my short 8mi run when snap! That was it! One wrong move and it took me out. I hobbled a few steps and was completely unable to bear weight, stand or walk on my left foot. I thought for sure I tore the entire thing or something ruptured.. after getting picked up and taken to urgent care it was determined I broke it. I'm so grateful for this office! I can't say this enough, in all emergency situations they have always been here for us. As soon as I made it home from urgent care I called them to make an appointment and they were able to see me 3 hours later. I brought my cd with xrays and received the best news possible, no cast! The doctor said this was the best bone to break in my foot and even used the ultrasound machine to check my soft tissue (no tears). I had crutches at home and can't walk to save my life but I have a boot instead of a cast and I'm so happy about that. I guess at this point the Banff marathon has my permission to go ahead and pull the plug since I'm looking at a two month recovery :( The staff at this office are so kind! It really is an absolute 5 star experience with every person you encounter which is so nice when you're in so much pain. I highly highly recommend this office, they have continued to provide absolutely superb care for my family throughout the years with all of our sports injuries. Wish me and my fifth metatarsal a speedy recovery and like all injuries, you will come back stronger! So chin up if you're looking for urgent Orthopaedic care, you'll be ok soon! This review is not based upon the medical care or surgical abilities of these doctors because I never actually got to see one. The place appears to be a mill. I waited in line for 15 minutes to check in. That is a record. I then waited another 45 minutes plus. Although I had a MRI I was brought to an X-RAY room. A less savy patient would have paid for the X-RAY and been exposed to whatever levels of radiology come with that.I am not aware the standard of care is to take an X-RAY if there is a comprehensive MRI. I left after waiting for more than an hour. It is important that patients promptly leave medical appointments if they have been waiting for one hour. The likelihood of the doctor taking the time to discuss the medical situation is low if you are at an office like that. That type of operation may also have you meet with somebody who is not the specialist, and not a MD. In addition, it is a poor reflection of their staffing and management which will probably carry over in the rest of your experience. For example, if this place is this busy they have a budget to hire more staff to serve the patients and better book appointments. In addition, doctors who believe they are holier than thou (complete disregard to patient's time) may not be patient advocates. When a professional values their client/patient as low as this place seems to it is simply a doctor you do not want to put in charge of your body. Based on the above, I could not imagine establishing a relationship with these people and coming back for consultations. There were also many patients experiencing significant pain in the lobby, patients with many different types of assitive devices. One man heldup the wall while wailing as he tried to walk. Others were obviously in major pain. Although the patients had severe mobility problems the staff walked very quickly when they called them, and it seemed the patients could not keep up and doors would be shut in their faces. Lengthy waits for patients with these sorts of medical conditions is in-humane. Just sitting for this length of time can also be very painful for somebody with sciatica or serious back problems. I hope this message is a wakeup call to this practice. There is a great demand for your services, and it is your ethical obligation to do it right which you are not doing. read more

Dr. Raven and his staff are really great and professional. The ladies at the front are sweet, and everyone makes you feel really comfortable. I was referred to Dr. Raven by a friend whose husband works in the medical profession and he said Raven is the best in the business. I actually switched groups within my insurance company just to see Dr Raven for a hand injury. I had read really bad reviews of local doctors and I wasn't taking any chances. My son ran into my thumb, jamming it, and I never went to get it looked at thinking it would get better on its own. It only got worse and worse. When I finally went to see Dr Raven he told me I waited to long to get it looked it and the injury caused a bone spur and ultimately arthritis. He is very conservative in his treatment and suggested physical therapy first and then baby steps from there. I've been happy with the treatment of my injury and fully trust him. Dr. Raven is great and explains everything in layman's terms so you understand your diagnosis and treatment route. I've been to him three or four times for follow up visits and he takes his time, listens to my concerns and offers really professional advice and the best route for your condition/injury. I was pushing for surgery so that my thumb could be back to normal but he said he didn't recommend surgery at this point, not for my age, I'm 48. He said it's too young for this type of injury and there was no benefit to getting it done now as opposed to 20 years from now. If you need to see a hand specialist I highly recommend him and his staff. He's the best hand surgeon so I'm trusting that...a doctor that isn't pushing for surgery. I'll take it! read more

Fifteen years ago I had surgery to deal with tears in the medial and lateral menisci of my left knee. Since then, as arthritis that developed made the knee painful again, and Synvisc and then cortisone and other injections lost their effectiveness, my doctor recommended total knee replacement surgery. Dr. Shahan Yacoubian was strongly recommended by my doctor. I found Dr. Yacoubian to be extremely helpful and frank as we discussed my condition and the necessary surgery. The preparation went seamlessly thanks to the staff at OSS and Providence St. Joseph Hospital. I could not have been more pleased with the attentiveness and quality of care I received. Dr. Yacoubian's skill was evident when I was able to walk and climb stairs my first day post-op. It is now less than 7 weeks since the surgery and my progress has surprised me, the physical therapist, and even the staff at OSS. At 76 years of age I was concerned about the expected pain and length of my recovery -- but thanks to Dr. Yacoubian those concerns were unwarranted. I extremely impressed with Orthopaedic Surgery Specialists. I called on Monday because my left shoulder was hurting me and it was difficult to sleep, or raise my left arm. They made a appoint with Dr Mark Mikael on Wednesday. When I arrived I was concerned there were a lot of people waiting to see the doctor. Within 10 minutes I was sent to X-ray and within 5 minutes they called me. I then waited 10 minutes to see the doctor. He gave me a shot and we discussed my Plantar Faciatis, I didn't know he specializes in feet. I told him I would like to set up a appointment to see him, he arranged for me to see him on Friday. Very pleased with the care and responsiveness of this doctor. He helped me when I had a problem with my right shoulder. I highly recommend this practice. read more

This place is a rip off! Stay away. I went in as I hand an injury on my finger that has been plaguing me. I didn't meet with the doctor but met with his assistant, Omar. He told me there was nothing wrong with my finger and that I just had to live with the pain. When I asked him if there was a cyst on the bone (which is what someone else had told me it might be), his response was, "No. It's not that. Let me show you." He then held the ultra sound up to my finger for 20 seconds and said "See. No cyst." Cut to me being billed $400 for an ultrasound that was not needed. Aside from the fact that it was an erroneous diagnosis and I had to waited an hour to see the assistant... stay far away from this place. read more

I've waited to write this review until I was exited from Dr. Raven's care. I was referred to him back in September due to a diagnosis of De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. After months of pain and keeping my wrist in a splint, I was finally able to get an appointment to see Dr. Raven. My initial impression was that he was kind, personable and attentive. He asked some questions, examined my wrist and then performed an ultrasound on my wrist. He showed me the inflammation on the screen and told me I had two viable options: go to hand therapy for 8 weeks or to get a cortisone injection. He stated that the decision was mine and that in his experience, the injection solved the issue for about 90% of his patients. I was somewhat overwhelmed and undecided, not knowing what to do. He sensed my hesitation and told me he would give me time to think it over. He came back about 10 minutes later and I decided on the injection. He asked if I was sure, wanting me to be comfortable in my decision. The injection wasn't too painful and after 5 minutes, I was on my way. I had a follow up 6 weeks later. At this visit, he asked how I was doing and how my wrist felt. I still had pain and he said it was too soon for another injection. He asked me to come back in another 4 weeks for a check in. On my third visit, I still had pain and he agreed to do one more injection, but wanted to also send me to hand therapy as well. He mentioned that this would be the last injection and if I still had pain in another 8 weeks, we would discuss options for surgery. Long story short, hand therapy and the second injection worked miracles. When I saw Dr. Raven for my last visit, he was thrilled to hear my pain was gone. He repeatedly stated to email him if I had any questions or concerns in the future and to continue my wrist stretches. I am beyond impressed with the care and attention by Dr. Raven and would recommend him for any orthopaedic concerns or issues. He's a busy guy and his schedule is always packed, but for good reason. read more
