Great quality and care go into everything on the menu. Vegan, organic and gluten-free, there are no processed or fake foods here. We had the sloppy joe and Tex mex tofu scramble, both delicious ( the scramble is pretty spicy). The kombucha is probably the best I've ever had. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I bought an Omega Buff--peanuts, chia, flax, sunflower seeds, coconut, cacao chips, maple tree sap, etc., etc.--and was amazed at the energy I got after munching on half the container. I weigh over 2 bills, so 6oz of this stuff is light snacking. And then I surfed for 3 hours after and felt great--no immediate cravings for junk food post surfing. Please, sell larger containers of this wholesome goodness. The gent selling this said the container should last a week. I killed it in 24 hrs. The place is cozy and clean, service is welcoming and helpful, and the food is nourishing and comforting. We had the highly recommended Alfredo, the sloppy joe and the sweet potato chili. This cafe is walking distance to my house. I'm disappointed it took me so long to venture in. The coffee here is delicious. I've had the almond latte and the almond cinnamon latte. Delicious! I was in the mood for some tasty vegetation. Yelped from where I was and this place was literally around the corner and still close to my home. The staff are friendly and immediately asked if this was my first time. It was. I asked for recommendations and decided on the vegan sloppy joe. So good. I like to think of myself as a nut butter connoisseur. I discovered that few peanut butters meet my standards and few nut butters meet my taste buds! Then one day at the Rolling Hills Farmers Market, I ran into this booth. They offered free samples and really they had me at hello. I recently got into "sprouting" grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds so I was already impressed when I saw that! Btw, sprouting is a fantastic practice that helps reduce the phytic acid in legumes and such. Unfortunately, very healthy food like oatmeal, brown rice, nuts, etc. are high in phytic acid which has been a common link in cavities! None the less, I was ecstatic I could eat a nut butter again! I sampled a few flavors and the flavor that stood out to me was "Nutty Groupie!" I think that's the best, I've ever tasted. Better than my cheat butter (peanut butter company's Dark Chocolate Dreams)... I think that speaks volumes... it has the protein punch and the flavor to match. The only negatives and I won't even dock a star for them, is that it is pricey at about $11 for about a weeks serving (1 tbsp a day not 2) and I can't find nutritional information. You can get .50 cents off if you bring the jar back, so I guess that weakens the blow. read more

These nut butters are the absolute best! Before discovering these at the Brentwood Farmer's Market, I would only get Justin's almond butter and JIF Naturals pb. I'm a huge nut butter fan, but this takes my obsession to new levels. I can finish a jar in 1 week by eating spoon fulls on their own. Raw, Organic, nutrient-dense with more flavor than anything i've tried. My favorites are Figzilla, Omega Buff (with cacao nibs yum!), and i recently purchased a new one with hazelnut and figs.
