Purchased our new home and bought all kitchen and laundry appliances from Orville's in June 2024. They came and installed our new washer with brand new hoses and we assumed everything was great. Friday 5/9/2025 I began to notice our hardwood floors feeling wavy by the washing machine. I felt the floor in areas I could reach, and it was not wet in the front. The machine is in a tight space about an inch between the wall and appliance. So, I shined a flashlight to see in the small gap between the wall and the machine and noticed it was wet in the back and the hardwoods were discolored from water. I immediately called the Greece store where we bought the washer. I told the women about the issue, and she informed me it was under warranty still so gave me the number for GE. I made a service appointment with GE and the technician came out to look at the washer 5/14. When he came out to diagnose Pat discovered indication of a leak coming from the hose. He then went onto say during install sometimes the installer cross threads the connection creating a not so tight seal allowing water to leak. As a result, this has led to significant damage to our hardwood floors. I then went to Orivlles with this new information. I supplied photos of the connection, and the floor damage. I also supplied the technician note from Pat who came out which says...WORK PERFORMED EXPLAIN OPERATION FILL HOSE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED PROBLEM DESC DEFECTIVE FILL HOSE (HOT) . Brian from Orville's calls me this morning and says to use my home insurance. Well its not covered by home insurance because it was due to improper installation which cross threaded the hose making it defective and creating a major leak which had been going on slowly over time due to poor install. I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT WHO YOU PURCHASE FROM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND STRESS IN THE LONG RUN! NOW WE ARE OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DUE TO FAULTLY INSTALL FROM ORVILLES. read more

The sales reps at the store are great and the professional delivery people are great. But when you buy non-professional grade appliances, the delivery is sub standard. Item was damaged in delivery and they offer a credit but can't fix anything. They also won't tell me what they banged into to cause the damage so not sure if I am going to find damage to walls somewhere. When I gave a poor review they called and told me I should have refused delivery. They told me the leaving of all the trash is standard and it was not protocol for the people last time to have taken all their trash with them. But they did and now I have all sorts of trash to break down and take care of, a damaged "new" appliance, and the recommendation to refuse delivery next time if I don't want damaged items in the future. ​​ All in all - very disappointing delivery service and horrible customer service afterwards. Sadly, this company does not stand by their products or their warranty. They work with new leaf and apparently have no connection with them and wash their hands with anything to do with them. When I tried to get help, I was shuttled between new leaf and Orville's and got no satisfaction. Even though I paid a good amount of money for a five year warranty, I was told I was going to have to cover cost for a repair or replacement. Very pleased and will definitely buy our next appliance at Orville's when in need:) My husband and I had done some prior research at Lowes and decided to check out Orville's. To our surprise the identical washer we were looking at was $300 less at Orville's. We purchased it on the spot! BUYER BEWARE! WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE Worst service department ever! Water damage caused and not fixed! We purchased a washer, dryer, refrigerator, and wall oven/microwave unit all at the same time. The oven and microwave was the ONLY installation that went smoothly. The not so helpful Jordan (who I see was a salesperson for another reviewer here as well) failed to mention that the water line would not be hooked up to our refrigerator and that it would be an entirely different service call (and additional fee). We found out at delivery. We were advised that we'd have to purchase a new set of hoses for the washer installation (from Orville's) in order for them to install the washer. The delivery team arrived to install the washer and dryer, unhooked my existing machines, then discovered the hoses they brought were too short. The correct length hose was not in stock so it would need to be ordered. The delivery team hooked the old machines back up and left. However, they failed to ensure that the drain hose was reinstalled properly. It popped out and an entire washer load of water dumped all over the laundry room floor and down into our finished basement causing hundreds of dollars of water damage. I called the store and was redirected several times until I finally spoke with someone in the service department. He told me his guys said they never touched my old machines and they will not take responsibility for the damage. How could they have known that the water hoses they brought were too short without touching the existing machines? Never do business with Orville's. Especially the Greece, NY location. Had a great experience at Orvilles here in Greece NY, I was met by a friendly Salesman named Brian, as soon as I walked through the door. BRIAN worked with me from start to finish I was looking to by a refrigerator and within a half hour I purchased one, from their scratch and dent section which is extensive to say the least as the kind of refrigerator I was looking for new was not in stock. I would recommend coming here as they did everything they could to get my business.. and have next day delivery, which is a huge plus considering were in a pandemic read more

Went Sunday 11/13/2022 to purchase a new stove. Found the stove my wife and I wanted. Paid for the stove and explained that the delivery must be in the afternoon due to work schedules and sleep needs. The salesman agreed. Tuesday 11/15/2022 my wife received a text around 0945 explaining that they'll be there. She responded with no, that the timing is not right. Can we reschedule for another time and date? No response after that except for the driver is out front. I had to wake up and open the door for the delivery and voiced my opinion. Called the store and talk to a saleswoman. She gave me to Mike the assistant manager. He said he read the messages and he's going to involve the store manager. Store manager was supposed to call back. Never did. I called the store many hours later to at best receive a delivery refund at best. The manager was blaming the delivery aspect of the company vs trying to go and take care of things. Now I am waiting for the delivery management to call back. An edit will follow if and once things get resolved. Also the drivers were aware of the need for the delay and once called out they were quick to deliver and take off. read more

Bought a new dryer this month. I asked the salesman, Jordan, numerous times about getting a new vent installed and he said it was done as a "courtesy" up to 10 feet. Upon delivery the installers said they only install up to 4 feet and would not do it anyway because the hood was partially covered by insulation. It is exactly 10 feet from the dryer to the hood. The back of the sales slip allows for 16 feet. I called the delivery office and they said they don't install the vents! Then the salesman called me and I tried to explain that he had told me they would include the vent. He said he would "see what I can do and get back to me". Orville's customer service is undoubtedly the worst that I have ever experienced. While I was satisfied with their competitive pricing their terrible/uncaring customer service made any price advantage not worth it. Last week we had four kitchen appliances delivered and the oven,/range was defective. Within 24 hours we contacted Orville's and sent them pictures of the serious defect. Their response was ...call LG and take care of the problem on your own as it was not Orville's problem. WOW... I guess that Orville should just advertise that once they deliver the product and leave your house you are on your own. They probably should change the name of the "cu stomer service" department to the "customer disservice" department. If you don't care about customer service I guess Orville's might be worth shopping BUT be very aware that they have crappy customer service and if you get a defective item delivered you are screwed as they will not help at all. read more

Don't ever go to this store, the customer service is horrible. Paul the manager is as heartless as you can get. I purchased a refrigerator from them, didn't work, horrible whining constantly, everything in the freezer went bad. Called them the next day, they brought out another one and it was totally damaged. Called them on that one as well, brought out another one today and there was a deep scratch in the freezer door. When the delivery guy brought this one today, I wouldn't except it for the third time and he called his manager and his manager said bring back both refrigerators. They left me with no refrigerator and my 3 grandkids are staying with me tonight and I not only have nothing to feed them, but no refrigerator either. My car is not here. I called Paul at the Greece Orvilles and he said that's not my problem. Don't ever purchase at this store, Paul is as Heartless as you can get.
