I went to Charlotte Appliance and was able to select and purchase a refrigerator in about 20 minutes! The salesman asked what I wanted, told me which items were in stock and pointed me in the right direction. Delivery was in 2 days and Mike and Rick did a wonderful delivery and installation! They were courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Charlotte Appliance over the Big Box stores- top notch service!

They delivered a used floor model that buzzes. They initially agreed to take it back, but then raised the pickup fee from $250 to $1,500. When I refused to accept the changed terms, they reversed course entirely: they will not take it back, will not service it, and will not discuss the matter further. "Sales final."They made 100% profit while I am stuck with a used refrigerator at full new price. They price-matched Home Depot and acted like they were doing me a favor. There is no satisfaction guarantee and no return policy of any kind.They even attempted to blame our contractor rather than take responsibility for what they sold us.I have filed a complaint with the NYS Attorney General's office. This is not how a reputable business -- family-owned or otherwise -- operates. I will never buy from Charlotte Appliances again and I strongly urge others to shop at Home Depot, Lowe's, or Ferguson instead. At least those companies actually stand behind their products. IS it really worth it to take the risk with a 'small thinking business" to pay more typically and to get no satisfaction or service?? Update: Still unresolved as of this posting.

    Purchased our new home and bought all kitchen and laundry appliances from Orville's in June 2024…read more They came and installed our new washer with brand new hoses and we assumed everything was great. Friday 5/9/2025 I began to notice our hardwood floors feeling wavy by the washing machine. I felt the floor in areas I could reach, and it was not wet in the front. The machine is in a tight space about an inch between the wall and appliance. So, I shined a flashlight to see in the small gap between the wall and the machine and noticed it was wet in the back and the hardwoods were discolored from water. I immediately called the Greece store where we bought the washer. I told the women about the issue, and she informed me it was under warranty still so gave me the number for GE. I made a service appointment with GE and the technician came out to look at the washer 5/14. When he came out to diagnose Pat discovered indication of a leak coming from the hose. He then went onto say during install sometimes the installer cross threads the connection creating a not so tight seal allowing water to leak. As a result, this has led to significant damage to our hardwood floors. I then went to Orivlles with this new information. I supplied photos of the connection, and the floor damage. I also supplied the technician note from Pat who came out which says...WORK PERFORMED EXPLAIN OPERATION FILL HOSE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED PROBLEM DESC DEFECTIVE FILL HOSE (HOT) . Brian from Orville's calls me this morning and says to use my home insurance. Well its not covered by home insurance because it was due to improper installation which cross threaded the hose making it defective and creating a major leak which had been going on slowly over time due to poor install. I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT WHO YOU PURCHASE FROM AND SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND STRESS IN THE LONG RUN! NOW WE ARE OUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DUE TO FAULTLY INSTALL FROM ORVILLES.

James was supposed to come out to fix my LG Refrigerator on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. I contacted James that morning via text to provide him my husbands contact information as he would be home in order for the repair to be done. James texted me back 10 minutes later stating he had a migraine and was taking medication to try and get rid of it and he would follow up to let me know if he would be able to still arrive in the afternoon or if he would need to reschedule. I again asked James to reach out to my husband as he was the one working from home for James to do the repair. James never showed up, never called. I attempted to call and text James at 4:00 that day to reschedule. He did not answer nor did he return my calls. Today, through New Leaf Warranties, I was connected with James. As I was trying to express my frustration and need to get the repair done, James hung up the phone in the middle of my talking. When I tried to call back, James did not answer. This is very unprofessional to 1 not show up for schedule repairs and not contact customer to reschedule and 2 to hang up the phone when someone is speaking. I will never use Upstate Appliances in the future after this type of service.

It started when he tracked in snow three times for forgetting various items and when I noted the water Trail he snapped and said " you ain't tell me to put them on " I declined to pay credit card and said I will call the company and pay it myself and I'll be sure to mention your attitude. He purposely scuffed his boots all the way down my wood floor to spite me and the brawl was on .This is not the same County Wide this is different and I've seen it in the other reviews. They asked a few questions over the phone to get a basic idea of the problem(s). I wasn't entirely pleased at the cost of just the service call (~$100) but realized that it takes into account the knowledge of the tech and the rising costs of everything. The gentleman called to let me know he'd be at my home in about 20 minutes, and was early into my two-hour block of time. Thankfully the issue was able to be fixed on the spot and the tech had all the parts needed. The final price was very reasonable and I will gladly call this company again if needed.
