Not gonna lie I was super hesitant on coming into this place, it's a little place in the corner of a shopping plaza, but I was pleasantly surprised! Service was not only quick, and friendly, but the portions! They do not hold back, they packed my plate up. I had an enough for dinner and lunch the next day. I got the chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken/mushroom chicken plate & 2 egg rolls. Each plate was about $12 and change. Orange chicken tasted authentic and not dry, chow mein/friend rice were on point, not too salty or greasy & the egg rolls were my favorite, not greasy either, well stuffed, definitely have to get them if you go here. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the mushroom chicken, tasted like it had been sitting a while, but this wouldn't stop me from coming back again just to try something else. read more

So I just went to this place on a Sunday evening at 7:30 almost closing, they close at 8. And when I went there was just some entrees in boxes or some stuff on the steam table left, still alot actually all the kung Pao chicken orange chicken wings etc. Whoever the guy working was is THE MAN. He's the real deal, he hooked me up big time. He gave a good amount of portions basically whatever was left, he made sure everything was good, asked if I needed anything else, he gave 3 free egg rolls on top of that, and gave 2 fortune cookies, made sure to give hot sauce, sweet and sour sauce all that, this guy went above and beyond, he really knew what he was doing, best service. He really provided the food and made sure I got everything. He was probably I'd say around mid to late 30s guy or something,had some beard going. This is hands down, the worst chinese food I've ever had. I ordered brocolli beef and orange chicken a la carte. Instead of making it fresh, they used what was sitting in their tray and judging by the quality of the food, horrible taste, tuff and crustyness, it was sitting for a VERY long time. The beef in the brocolli was like rabbit pellets - no decent pieces, and stringy. Smelly sauce (more like water from the heating steam condensation for sitting so long) was like the something moldy that might make you gag. I ate some of each and threw the rest away. I'm a huge fan of fast Chinese food. Something simple like Fried Rice, Chow Mein, Teriyaki and Orange chicken is enough for me. I've been all over the San Fernando Valley and tried many Fast Chinese spots, but I can honestly say, that this location here is my absolute favorite. The staff is attentive and friendly and above all, the food is fresh and oh so delicious! They have the best Teriyaki Chicken I have ever tried! No joke! I don't even ask for Teriyaki sauce on it and eat it as is. It's just that good. Best of all, you get more bang for your buck! Meal is like $7 or $8 but they packed that box up! Huge portions! Do you like fast food panda express type Chinese food? This place has got you covered. The food is decent, but they'll load you up with as much as will fit inside a box. The options are pretty standard. Beef & Broccoli, BBQ pork, Orange Chicken, mushroom chicken, etc. You can order 1, 2, or 3 item combos which come with fried rice or chow mien. Alternatively, you can order items a la cart. This can be differentiated from the nearby Chinese chow express as this spot does not have a TV and the cashier is one friendly Chinese man instead of a Chinese couple. It does have more seating. I would guess about 7 four people tables. The soda machine is behind the counter, so you have to ask the cashier for a refill. read more

Keep in mind that this place is called Pacoima Chinese Fast Food now and not Marco Polo's. It's a buffet style serving line and I ordered 2 plates. The really nice guy behind the line filled the plates to the very brim, so that was great. He also waited until the fresh orange chicken came out to put in in there as well. As a previous reviewer already stated, definitely not what you'd like if you expect gourmet chinese food. Definitely fast food, but gives Panda Express a run for it's money! The atmosphere's not great, but it's not bad either. It's comfortable and I enjoy eating my meals at this establishment. Service has always been great! This place was taken up by new owners awhile ago, and my grandmother always ordered egg foo yung, which they no longer officially offered. However, since she's a long time customer, they make it specially for her every time she comes in :) I really like the food. The chow mein seems much less greasy than what I've had before, which I definitely approve of. The beef and broccoli is great, as is the teriyaki chicken. The only problem that I have with said chicken is that it can have a bit of cartilage and fat, but not to the point where it majorly disrupts the meal; just eat around it. The classics are very good. Beef & broccoli had a good amount of beef, and well seasoned. BBQ pork is very good, it's on the bone. Chow mein noodles are thinner than the typical chow mein, and is less greasy. I was pleasantly surprised with the chicken egg roll. 2 Item Combo was perfect, a large serving and tasty!
