We ordered the spicy deluxe miso ramen, karaage fried chicken, spicy edamame, baked salmon roll, and spicy jalapeños. Everything was delicious honestly, it's hard to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, the karaage fried chicken stood out the most perfectly crispy and so good. The ramen was also tasty, although it wasn't spicy at all. I personally prefer more heat, so having spice levels would be a great option. I'll keep it real the service wasn't the best. Delicious ramen and sushi at a great price! I had the Kyushu Ramen with chicken which was creamy, savory, and very comforting. I asked for a side of chili sauce to make it a little spicy and it definitely elevated the already tasty broth. I also got to try the Hanabishi Roll which was freshly prepared and had great flavor! My favorite vegan ramen in the valley! I also ordered a side of chili paste so I could make it spicy. The broth is creamy, savory, smooth & comforting. I also really enjoy the spicy edamame from here as well. The restaurant has a big space so plenty of space to sit, the parking is a shared lot with many other businesses and the spots can get quite crammed up. They offer a variety of sushi rolls that I'm yet to try due to the ramen being so filling, I look forward to trying some next time. Docked one star because the two visits I've had I've noticed that it can be hard to get the waiters attention for refills or when I'm ready for a refill... but overall, I love this spot and hope to be back soon! It's a nice quaint spot for ramen. Been here plenty of time and each visit is always great. It's in a strip Mall with plenty of parking. There's two side, ramen and sushi. I'm pretty sure you could be seated on either or. The selection of ramen is great as I alway for the spicy ramen. Broth is excellent. Also the chicken katsu is good as well, side order. This review is for the sushi and Izakaya menu. Usually I come here for Ramen, but recently I ordered some sushi for take out. It's nice that they are open on the late side! I placed my order on site and I was told it would take 30 mins, so prepare to wait because they get busy. I ordered a sashimi salad, yellowtail cut roll and salmon collar. It's not that the fish wasn't fresh, it just didn't seem to be super high quality. The cut roll was basic as expected but the yellowtail lacked any sort of flavor. The salmon collar was pretty dry so that was slightly disappointing. Overall I wasn't entirely impressed with the sushi. Definitely come here for the ramen! read more

This local Ramen place is always a win. The seating area is definitely on the smaller side and on weekends the wait can get a bit crazy. Specially if you are doing diner. The wait staff is always very kind and willing to answer any questions you might have. They also try to be as flexible as they can with item substitutions. Now the food. I had the Spice Miso Ramen with a side of Spam Musubi. My friend had one of their lunch specials with comes with lots of food! The ramen never disappoints! It's absolutely delicious! The menu is huge and just about everything I ordered was a hit. They have a great selection of sushi, hot plates, and soups. Need your Japanese fix for curry, kaarage, good quality sushi, soups, then look no further. I just got back from Japan, and noticed this place isn't too far off from the authenticity of Japan cuisine. Even the restaurant itself has a nice Japanese ambiance. Lastly, service here is awesome. We had the tonkatsu and kyushu ramen, gyoza and shrimp siomai. I'm sorry to say this, but this is the most boring ramen I have ever tasted. They were bland and lacking the umami taste. tonkatsu ramen had very little soup and NOT hot at all, the kyushu ramen is also the same. gyoza was ok so is the shrimp siomai. Came in on a Thursday night and the place was basically empty, so there's really no excuse for my food taking a full HOUR. This wasn't anything complicated either just a combo plate with grilled salmon, tempura, sushi, and sashimi. Unless they personally fly in ingredients from Japan as the customer orders there is no explanation as to what on EARTH could have caused that kind of wait. What made it worse was the complete lack of care from the staff. No apology, no explanation, NO COMP, nothing. They acted like this was totally normal, which is kind of alarming. If this is how they run things on a slow night, I can't imagine how bad it gets when they're actually busy. Definitely not a place I'd come back to. At this rate, the problem isn't bad luck. Hanabishi is a comfortable, well decorated little spot in the valley. I really wanted to like this place, but for my first visit, it wasn't as good as I was expecting. While the service was friendly and competent, the food was just ok. For starters, there were no pepper flags, chilly oil, or any other condiments on the table, other than soy sauce. Also, they do not have low sodium soy sauce (that is a new one to me). The Spicy Miso Ramen is served in a massive bowl, but unfortunately, the flavors were not as big as the bowl. Spicy Miso Ramen was not spicy at all. The broth was a bit bland, and the temperature of the whole dish was not hot; it was just barley warm. I tasted the hard-boiled egg half, and it was basically room temperature. It tasted as if it was sitting on the counter all day and then dropped into the ramen just before I received it. That was disappointing. The Seaweed Salad was good, and it had cucumbers buried in the bottom of the bowl. The Chicken Karaage was very greasy, but the Spicy Tuna Cut Roll was also good. Overall, I wasn't impressed, but the service was good, and they don't add any hidden fees to the bill. I will come back again and try something different, and I'll bring my own low sodium soy sauce. read more
