Ordered from Ramen Izakaya because it's such a busy day and I was craving Ramen. I ordered the Chili lime Ramen with extra egg and the Cucumber Sunomono. First, my Chilli Lime Ramen was absolutely fabulous!!! I LOVE this Ramen, soooo tasty and really hits the spot. The broth is exactly what I was craving. The meat pairs perfectly with this broth with the flavors dancing in my mouth. It was so delicious that I kept eating even when I got full so then I was really full at the end but so worth it. I wasn't sure that I would like the cucumber sunumono because it's full of carrots, but one bite and I couldn't stop. The cucumber and carrots taste very fresh and cooling and whatever it is they're soaked in, it's perfect. I don't like carrots, but I ate the whole thing they tasted amazing. Overall I'm so impressed by Ramen Izakaya, I will definitely be ordering from here again in the near future!!! read more

So just about anything edible, that is Japanese, is fair game from raw to cooked. Rāmen Izakaya presents Japanese food through a Mexican and Southeast Asian filter. So I decided to sample representative food from those two regions. 1) Poblano Popper is mild, green Poblano chile, that is used in Mexican chile relleno, and Japanese spicy tuna filling that is flash broiled by a salamander. Drizzled with spicy mayo dressing and sweet eel sauce. Nice mix of green herbals, fatty, earthy, sweet meatiness. 2) Spicy Seafood Rāmen: Rubid hued, likely chicken broth based Lemongrass Chile Seafood Broth which has a good piquant kick and refreshing citrus aromatics. I had to do the cut California roll for an appetizer and I ate it so fast to disappeared man what a delicious roll. The music in this place is fantastic and they have a lot of seating the nice thing also? They have parking outback. But when it came down to why I was here which was the Ramen soup I had to have the spicy miso with beef now you get your choice of three separate meats, but I had to go for the beef and I would've eaten the table. I came alone at around noon on a Monday. The place was nice and peaceful, really nicely dimly lit and theres a corner for folks like me who eat alone. I ordered the Miso Lemongrass , Yakisoba Beef Noodles and Mochi Green Tea Ice Cream. The lemongrass miso was so good. It was my first time having that dish and there was so much flavor. Nice appetizer to start. The beef noodles were good. They were also lemony so I wouldnt pair it with the soup next time but they were good on their own. I don't really like ordering noodles because i can just make that at home lol but the portion was good and the flavors were nice so 10/10. The mochi ice cream was amazing. No complaints. Came in with my daughter for a late weekday dinner. Service was great--friendly and attentive. Surprisingly, the string beans were the star of the night: lightly fried with a salty-sweet-spicy sauce that was addicting. The ramen, though, was underwhelming. My daughter's Chicken Ramen had plenty of chicken but not much flavor. My Spicy Lime Chili Ramen packed heat and lime, but the pork broth was disappointingly bland after the first bite. I was so impressed with the food here I felt the need to leave a good review. I came in here with a friend after seeing a movie, we were driving by and he told me it was good. I didn't see much of a sign and I almost drove by it, but I was really hungry and I decided to quickly stop and take his suggestion even though I am really picky with Ramen and usually don't just stop anywhere. Calamari, poblano poppers, and chicken skewers were hits. I said Yum after every bite, texture and sauce on point. I had a Tamarind martini which was uniquely flavorful, and not too sweet and had a nice tequila taste, 10 out of 10. Then I had the miso spicy Ramen, which had a great broth and wonderful noodles with a bit of a chew to it that I absolutely loved. I recently had the norovirus, and it really wrecked my stomach. I haven't been able to eat well for the past 72 hours. Thankfully, my wife orders from here on DoorDash, and she swears by this place, it always makes her feel better when she's sick. So, we decided to dine in. The place is very small, but the staff is friendly, and the layout is nice. It does get busy during dinner time, so be prepared for that. Since I was limited in what I could eat, I kept it simple with just a miso soup with vegetables and no chicken or meat, but I did squeeze a little lime in for extra flavor. My wife, on the other hand, had the spicy chicken miso soup with a bunch of ingredients. I swear, the bowl is huge and it's big enough for two people to share. Unfortunately, I couldn't dive into her bowl since I was still feeling sick, but I did sneak a sip, and wow, it was delicious! The bowl also comes with noodles, and everything was just so good. I love the ramen, which is why I've been a loyal customer for years. However, the service is consistently horrible and has been on nearly every single one of my visits. It's actually embarrassing when I bring a new guest, yet I continue to return solely for the food. The staff routinely overlooks our table every single time we dine here. I had the ramen and the texture of the noodles are very reminiscent of the type you buy at the grocery store, the fresh packaged ramen noodles in the refrigerated section. The broth is very standard tonkotsu, nothing to rave about, and some of the default topping choices were questionable to me. The spicy lemongrass ramen soup broth also tasted like a Thai packaged instant ramen I used to get back in the day. The sashimi carpaccio was also served very cold with slightly frozen edges.
