So we came here accidentally but happy we did I haven't been to La Ocha since I lived in LA. So we get there bro it was already hot outside... going in here was like a sauna no ac nothing. We ordered orange chicken chicken chow mein sweet and sour pork mangoe sticky rice soda and Thai ice tea all coming out to 97$ the ambiance made me feel like I was in Thailand which to me was cool lol I'm sorry I can't escape the heat it was impossible to enjoy my food. The service was good attentive and nice I can't say anything negative about that. Would I go again? Maybe not during summer maybe during winter.

    Rice lover. Just like mommy!

Been coming here for years. And every year we say the same thing, "is it getting better??!" Keep up the great job Ocha!!

Food here was once again amazing. The seafood in the soup was tasty, the rice paired with it was amazing & the Thai tea was the best drink. I would recommend this place to anyone & i can never get enough of this soup. Service was fast & the people there are very lovely & nice. The environment is pretty calm & there isn't loud music playing which i prefer it to be because i can have a good conversation without having trouble hearing. Try the soup next time you're here with the white rice, the photos do not do it justice

Great service ! Order was taken correctly but I ordered over the phone and didn't know the different sizes offered. Thai tea was good and kung pao chicken.

The food doesn't taste good. Fried rice had no flavor. The seafood soup is just the name because it only has fish. Not worth it.

Are they open for dine in? No one ever answers when I call

They're closed on Mondays. However, good luck finding parking. It's always a hassle to find a spot.

Hello ? Does anyone know if Ocha is currently open during this quarantine? I've been trying to place an order for pick but don't get an answer.

The parking lot is a decent size so finding a spot is never a problem (there's always street parking if need be). Place is always packed but never overwhelmingly so. Servers are friendly and quick to fix any mistakes that may arise. For appetizers you can't go wrong with vegetable egg rolls, tofu, or fried chicken dumplings. For entrees we've tried the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Pad Thai Noodle, and Pineapple Fried Rice (with the last two being our go-to). The portions are family/shareable sizes unless you're absolutely hangry/determined enough to take it on solo. Overall it's one of the better Thai restaurants we've been to in the Valley. It's nice and cool inside for those hot summer days, it's a great place to catch games on their giant TV, and it's a solid choice for families on a budget. If you're in the area, give them a shot!

Make sure you order online on weekends, because this place is packed. I found this place when i was…read morespecifically looking for kai jiew (thai omelette? scrambled eggs?). I love the crispy edges of kai jiew, really can't get enough of it. This place has two kinds though: thai omelette (which looks like a common omelette but with ground meat inside and a brown sauce), and scrambled eggs (which looks like the 'thai omelette' that i've known from other thai places). Kai jiew / kai jeaw / khai jiao / kai jiaw (scrambled eggs) -- if you like those fluffy, crispy fried eggs that are mostly called thai omelette at other places, this is the one you want. They're not as crispy, but still fluffy and full of flavor. They're a bit pricey though, which i find a little weird since this is normally one of the cheapest dishes at most thai places. Thai omelette -- this egg dish is one i've only seen at this place. It's more like egg foo young than the thai omelette that i know. Still flavorful though. Crab fried rice -- one of the best! It might not be as full of crab aroma, but this is the only place where i found a balance in fried rice as both an entree and a side dish. Usually fried rice is either flavorful enough to be an entree, or slightly bland and best as a side. But Khun Dang's is the perfect middle ground: flavorful enough as an entree, but not so strong that it overpowers your main dish if you decide to eat it as a side. Chicken fried wonton -- nicely crispy, such a joy to bite into! Thai ice tea -- not bad, pretty okay. Not too sweet, and not the "packaged mix" kind. Thai ice coffee -- strong, reminds me of vietnamese coffee (in all the good ways). Service was warm and friendly. Got my order in half an hour, which is pretty good considering they were packed for sunday lunch. The place is nice for hanging out and chatting when it's not packed, but even when it is, the tables aren't arranged too tightly. The price point is a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and portions reflect it.

Since this place popped up first and had "Thai BBQ" in the name, I saw BBQ and thought cool let's try. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience from the very beginning. The service was not good. The server and I had trouble understanding each other, so there was definitely a language barrier making it harder to communicate. She also didn't seem familiar with the menu since she couldn't answer basic questions. Just ordering was very frustrating. The tables didn't look properly cleaned either, which I should have taken as a red flag. As for the food, it just didn't do it for me. The peanut sauce was extremely watery. The garlic short ribs were honestly the worst part. They tasted undercooked and not good. I took one bite and I didn't want any more. We ended up eating mostly rice just to feel full. The shrimp dish was also disappointing. When we asked for something spicy, we were basically directed to the chili already on the table. The dish itself was mostly green beans with maybe 6 or 7 pieces of shrimp, and the shrimp tasted very basic. I also ordered the spicy beef combo plate, which came with steamed rice, but it wasn't spicy at all. I had to add a ton of chili just to get some flavor. The beef was probably the best part of the meal, but even that was just okay. Overall, I regret not checking the reviews beforehand because it definitely reflected the experience we had. I don't see either of us coming back.

We were so hungry for Thai food and ordered about 3-4 items. Spoiler alert, we could not finish everything but it was all so good and delicious!!! I complemented my meal with a small Thai iced tea and it had a great blend with strong taste of their condensed milk. The plates were all so delicious and so good. I wanted beef jerky, a dish I always order from thai restaurants but I couldn't find it on the menu. Luckily there was such a thing when I ordered!!! The beef jerky was chewy and not super hard when I bit it. The meat was good quality, it was a bit like steak to be honest!!! The fried rice was also just regular order but it was so tasty, buttery, and yummy. I loved the honey roasted ribs because it was so tender and flavorful. The panang curry was also super super good. I don't usually enjoy curry like that because it gets too spicy but the mild level was perfect for my taste buds and so good and creamy with the chicken we ordered for it. The white rice it came with would be doused with the curry sauce/stew and it would just be an amazing combo of flavors!!!! I would definitely recommend this spot, and would be excited to come back here for more for even hangouts with friends.

Fried dry Tōfu, bits of airy fried egg, pieces of shrimp, chopped green onions, red bellpepper slices, refreshingly watery crunchy bean sprouts. 3) Angel Wings: Pleasantly light, crunchy Panko Japanese bread crumb coating. The chicken meat filling in the deboned chicken wing is ultra puréed to the point it's a solid, gummy pâté where you can't distinguish the different ingredients. Cubed Cucumber sweet, acidic vinegar sauce, and sweet, thickened Thai chile sauce are the accompaniments. . 4) Pad Si Yu: Mostly similar ingredients as the Pad Ki Mao but without the aromatic Thai basil, and a sweet soy sauce is used for touch of fermented earthiness. Florets of al dente broccoli. To me, the flavours are duller than the exemplary Pad Ki Mao. Main dining room along with covered back patio seating. Wide window to view what's happening in the kitchen for tables near the front entrance. Good overall Thai food. 4- stars
