I am a very picky sushi gal, but we decided to give this place a try because it was on our way when running errands and it did not disappoint. The sushi was very fresh and melted in your mouth. I do nigiri everywhere I go, but decided to try the mango roll, since it was popular. 10/10. Perfect low key sushi spot when you are having a chill day and don't want to dress up or drive far. I am beyond disappointed with both the quality of food and the customer service by the manager Alina at Kazuki sushi and I will NEVER eat here. I usually go to Sushi Dan, but thought I'd try something new that's closer by. I found Kazuki sushi on a Google search and I was instantly drawn to the photos attached. I ordered a dragon roll, the baked langostino roll, the paradise roll and the seaweed salad. When my hubby brought the food back, I couldn't believe my eyes. This was not at all what the photos looked like! The eel of the dragon roll was burned and dry and had a pile of what I assume are crumbles, but not sure why they're on a dragon roll. The baked langostino was overly baked, but also not at all warm. Weird. The paradise roll was soggy looking and not truly breaded all around. The seaweed salad was the only thing that looked decent. I took screenshots of the website photo then how it arrived (photos #1&2 are pictures of the dragon roll they advertised, then #3 is how it actually arrived, photo #4 is the picture of the baked langostino roll they advertised, #5 is how I received it, photo #6 is the paradise roll they advertised, #7 is how I received it and #8 is my receipt to prove I ordered there). Photo #9 is the amazing food (Dragon Roll, Baked langostino & seaweed salad) I ordered from Sushi Dan after my disappointing experience with Kazuki Sushi. I immediately called and asked for the manager, who answered by the name of Alina. I told her my concerns and she said that there's nothing she could do. When I told her that I'm filing a claim with my credit card and posting a Google review, she patronizingly said, "thanks for your review" and she HUNG UP ON ME! Y'all, if they completely misrepresent the food and this is the quality AND they're not even willing to make it right? Wow... I don't usually write reviews but this place deserves it. Kazuki Sushi was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. The service was terrible from the second we sat down - nobody checked on us, everything took forever, and when food finally started coming out, it was the WRONG thing over and over again. We kept telling them what we actually ordered and they still brought the wrong rolls and dishes multiple times like they weren't even listening. No apology, no urgency to fix it, just blank stares. They have a wide variety of options - nigiri, cut rolls, hand rolls, special rolls, sashimi, combos, noodles and rice bowls. This is one of my favorite places in the valley. When you wake in the restaurant is spacious with many sitting options. The service is out of this world. The server always lets you sit where you like, very attentive, and very kind. The sushi is always consistent and always amazing quality. My favorite is the West Hills roll. This is a decent place to have sushi. I can't say if the fishes are super fresh, for halibut and red snapper the chef added so much lemon and salt I barely could taste the fish. Salmon and yellowtail sushi was good but the hand roll didn't taste right. We sat by the bar and the service was pretty fast. The noise level is high. Their service is great, super friendly, possibly family owned and operated. Love supporting local businesses that give that family vibe. The place is clean, their sushi displays makes hungrier so yes, we ordered more than we had planned for but we were also hungry Everything tasted delicious, fresh with one exception, the shrimp tempura breading was either overcooked or it had too much breading. Was in the area and found this spot because it had so many good reviews. Was very disappointed by the food. Started off by ordering some nagiri (salmon belly and yellowtail yuzu). They were good but very tiny so wasn't really a big fan of that. Rolls are not what I expected. Honestly, don't be fooled by the pictures. Rolls are soo little compared to other sushi spot I've been too. I ordered 3 rolls which all were meh but want to mention "spicy tuna torpedo" I get that its deep fried roll but it was CANNED TUNNA in there it was very disappointing. We ordered 4 rolls to start: (and they came out very quickly) blcr roll, crunchy roll, rainbow roll, eel & avocado roll. They were all delicious, but we must've been famished, because we went for a fifth roll. All of our sushi had great flavor, but keep in mind that the lower priced rolls are smaller in size. The service: lovely. The small area made it easy for the staff to meet all of our needs. My glass of water was being filled consistently and I appreciated that. Saddening to say quality of food has gone down. Last visit several visits, yesterday & several months ago food was not good. Chicken kaarage was ice cold on these last 2 visits. Yesterday we ordered fried calamari after receiving cold chicken & received calamari overcooked making it hard to chew so we send it back but still charged. We ordered ramen & it was horrible. Seems they are now microwaving the broth & overcooked the noodles. My noodles were mushy. Prices have gone up & food quality has gone down. My husband and I will not return.
