    Complimentary cold sake

Checked out Osaka for a casual sushi night. No wait and premiere parking around 5:30pm in the connected lot. Friendly and attentive service all around. We received multiple complimentary items such as the shrimp and seaweed tempura appetizer, dessert mango ice cream, and cold sake. Onion soup- bigger than I was expecting. Had a little sour flavor that was different but liked. Lots of mushrooms in there too. Spicy garlic edamame was mild so easy to eat without burning your mouth but still had good flavor. Tuna, yellowtail, salmon masago roll- simple and clean Tokyo roll- classic shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon, and sweet soy Red moon roll- pepper tuna and avocado topped with spicy salmon (my friend ordered but too full to try- seemed to enjoy it) Overall good value, good food, family owned, and a casual atmosphere. Would definitely be back.

4.3 stars! Private parking lot and space is decorated nicely and obviously very clean. Service was friendly and they give you a complimentary dynamite roll and free ice cream. Lunch specials are at a great price (note for the bento box, they don't give rice with it).

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Osaka on a Saturday afternoon. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. We were sat immediately and attended to promptly. We ordered the Eel Roll, The Dragon Roll, Houston Roll and the spicy tuna roll. As we waited for our order imagine our surprise when we received a complimentary appetizer. It was jumbo shrimp on top of a crispy wonton. It was wonderful and very satisfying. When the rolls arrived they did not disappoint. they we bigger than your average rolls. I get why this place have there regular customers. But wait there was a complimentary dessert also (Green Tea Ice cream. I will definitely be back. Service was very attentive and friendly. The place was clean and they have me as one of their frequent patrons.

I went here for a lunch meeting yesterday, and we ordered a couple rolls and sashimi. Love how they give you complimentary shrimp tempura to start the meal, tasty! Our server was very attentive, and the food came out fast. I was shocked by how thick the cuts of sashimi were. I also liked the quality of fish as well. The rolls were all good. They also offer complimentary ice cream at the end of your meal :) If you're in midtown and craving sushi, this place got you with decent prices!

Free appetizer and ice cream... what more could a girl ask for? They also box your food for you. Very nice. Didn't have any sashimi or nigiri so I can't speak on that but the rolls and calamari were good.

My boyfriend and I love Osaka for a casual but reliable sushi spot. There is no need to dress up too much, but the sushi and food are great. The calamari is okay, but the sushi is always solid. Whenever we are there, we always seem to get some sort of creative and delicious mini app to start our meal as well! Recently, we got the ocean roll which was delicious, tempura shrimp (amazing), and spicy edamame which was very good as well. Service is always attentive. The drinks are fun as well and always have cute garnishes!

The best service with delicious appetizers ( Agadashi Tofu and shrimp tempura) dim sum was amazing. We had several sushi selections. I'd recommend them all.

The appetizer up close. Everything is just delicious and artistically presented. The glaze was sweet with a bit of bite. It was perfect.

I have always loved this place. I've been coming for years, since about 2002. I always enjoyed the food here, service is prompt, courteous, and my orders are always correct. The folks are friendly and always greet you when you walk in. They always give you a small appetizer and at the end of the meal they bring you a small dessert. I would give this place a million stars if I could. I was surprised by how empty it is, but that just means the new location through off people so its like a secret. It's has a nice quiet, intimate feel to it. All for less than $40. Some of y'all are missing out.

the ambiance is great. i sat inside but the outdoors decor really is a sight to see. the service was great, they even gave me dessert and an extra roll for free. the food was good. it tasted like average japanese food to me. this would be a nice place to check out if you are looking for something casual to go to.

    Har gow (shrimp dumpling)

Went here today to eat sushi, but when I saw they offered dim sum, everything changed. I had the fried shrimp dumplings, har gow, and long bao. All three were fresh, hot and tasted great. Service was attentive and friendly. Definitely glad I gave it a try!

Tried going to another restaurant nearby but they had an hour wait. Walked across the street and found this awesome place. We ended up with the most friendly, personable, and knowledgeable server Crystal. Food was awesome and fresh. Pricing was really great too. We got a complimentary appetizer which was a nice surprise. Lychee martini delicious! Vibe was laid back. And the food came out quickly. Can't wait to come back!!

For the price being charged I expected flavors or techniques that would separate it from other strong sushi options but that never quite happened. Everything was pleasant yet ultimately unremarkable. I will say, though if they were to make this on an open pit or a flame pit like Caribbean hot pot I think it would really add to the flavor but all in all the way they do it. We had a 7pm reservation for two, and it was in a corner with a small table and high bar stools. It was very hot. We were sweaty, and I am normally very cold in restaurants. I think they go a little overboard with saying that having food here is like traveling the world and breaks down barriers. I like the concept though. They could do more with the decor to give it more of a world traveler vibe. They definitely tried. They were playing American hip hop music, which does not fit the international theme. We got the three course dinner, which was $60 each plus tip. The food was good but did not feel like it was worth the price. For appetizers, we got the Mochiko Chicken and Crispy Pork Belly in Pasilla Sauce. We liked the chicken a lot, and it came with a sweet mango chutney and spicy mayo sauce. The pork belly was alright. It was pretty standard. For entrees, we got the Singaporean Shrimp Laksa and Nigerian Suya Skewers. I liked the noodles and curry, but the fish cakes were not that appetizing. The skin was much bigger than the meat inside, so it would weirdly inflate or deflate. The shrimp came with their tails on, so I got my hands slimy with curry. I did not personally try the beef, but I was informed it was a 3.85/5 and 4/5 with the sauce. The laksa was a decently sized portion, but the beef was quite the small portion with a few chunks and a bit of rice and tomatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed the Orange Torta Caprese and New Orleans Bourbon Bread Pudding. I was kind of confused why the chocolate cake was called torta. It was very small but nice and rich. The orange flavour was strong. The bread pudding, on the other hand, was very big. Although it wasn't pudding. There was a large piece of the bread in whole form. It was delicious. I did not taste bourbon.

I was very surprised. And my broth was so delicious. It had such a rich umami flavor due to the miso & I thought the spice level was perfect. Honestly - I could eat jhst that broth for a whole meal. Unlike buldak or some other spicy ramens - the main selling point wasn't the spice. You could get an additional "spice bomb" if you wanted some more heat. The ramen toppings were good but not outstanding - same with the noodles. I thought the "mi-so-hot" was easily 3x better than "the og". The broth in "the og" was pretty interesting and more unique tasting. It felt like the main notes were just umami, pork, and oil. Not bad, but felt like it was missing a little something to make it truly good. If I had just got the OG, I'd rate this place a bit lower - but as it stands I'd 100% come back here for the "mi-so-hot" The interior was pretty nice. It was more "communal style seating" with a couple of big tables. There is also some smaller booths. It's an "order at the counter" type restaurant as well. I saw several comments about parking & was a bit concerned when driving over. I know that part of westheimer is always packed! But there is an attached parking lot & at 3pm on a Sunday, there was plenty of parking! Also - there is some street parking in the neighborhood north of the shop. Overall - will 100% be coming back for some more spicy ramen. Would recommend
