Our go-to spot for sushi and Sapporo -- dangerously close to home, which means "just one roll" often turns into a full feast. Tucked away on Elm St., this cozy little gem is worth finding. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the sushi's so fresh it practically deserves its own fan club.

First visit (based largely on Yelpers, thanks!) Unassuming place maybe seats 30 max. Half full on a Weds at 6:30, with plenty of take out happening as well. Because it was our first visit, we wanted variety and got the sushi/Combo. Pretty and delicious! With our crisp salads, it was enough for both of us. Server was attentive and pleasant. Bathroom was modern, clean, and well ventilated (I asked for my husband's input since I didn't go personally) ;-) I'm looking forward to coming again.

Went for dinner last week There's 3 booths they were all occupied There's 3 tables we sat at one. Pictures of interior did not Lighting is extremely bright, almost immediately left. Ordered a scorpion bowl, had no noticable alcohol in it besides the flaming center. For $20 you except a half decent drink? I should have known better with vodka as an ingredient in a scorpion bowl. I thought the sashimi was very good Partner had the sushi/sashimi platter with California roll. The craab tasted off he said and he threw up on way to car. I had one bite of the California roll and did not get noticably ill. One of the booths occupied was a lonely old woman not eating anything. Seemed to have previously eaten with utensils visible. What happened next was almost humorous after receiving the lackluster drink we ordered, she was trying to order an alcoholic beverage and they told her she's not allowed to drink there, but then served her. I was a bartender and worked in alcohol sales for over 20 years on and off, maybe they pulled the ole fake out drink you do to people that you don't want to serve more alcohol to, so you just fake pour... She was obviously a regular there I probably won't go back a second time. Sushimi was good though I would recommend take out, and seems like a better lunch than dinner date spot.

Cute little restaurant. The GPS took me to the side of the street, so be mindful of that. My boyfriend and I ordered two sushi rolls to share. It was pricey in my opinion, $30 for two rolls. The spider roll was DELICIOUS. WOW, loved everything about it. The Snow White roll was, ehh ok. The tuna was raw (which we knew), but it was cut so thick that it made the sushi hard to enjoy. The service was okay. Seemed to be a waiting game, but there wasn't many people in the restaurant upon ordering.

Been here a few different times and all good experiences. Very small place with quick service. My husband and I have gotten the "Love Boat for 2" and it was very worth it! 10 pieces of sushi, 18 sashimi, 3 hand rolls and octopus for $56?!? If you don't mind a show with a giant boat with flashing lights do this! We've also ordered to-go as well. Packaged nicely with soy sauce in a to-go ramekin, enough wasabi and nice chop sticks. Fish is fresh and quick service. What else can you ask for? Oh- they have beer and cocktails too.

5-stars. Justified by their special ramen. Get. Their. Ramen. There's a slight difference in their two ramen options, and you have the option of getting them spicy. You know the broth is amazing when you clean the entire bowl... mine was clean and I rarely drink all that broth (the sodium rarely justifies it). I got the Osaka ramen with the chicken katsu which was also cooked perfectly. You can tell the katsu was cooked right because of how crunchy it was (even in the broth) and the chicken a the very middle of each strip was juicy (it can easily be dry with a jerky feel). That's clearly their signature, and I want to judge this store by its strength. The rest of the options are pretty standard. No weak dishes, but it's not something that you can't get anywhere else. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm glad whenever the staff have an opinion on their own shop's food because it means they at least enjoy it enough to try it a few times and have a preference even if they smell and see the food 24-7. Place is pretty clean. Not huge, but not crammed. I definitely felt my personal space even in the small hole-in-the-wall. Parking might be a pain without making a small hole in your wallet unless you go late. Still, I'd say it's worth it :)

Follow up review, must have been back at least another 10 times. Service is always top notch, food is always fresh and delicious. Tried the steak and scallop teriyaki. 5 large scallops, plenty of steak cooked medium rare (per my order). The noodles, rice and veggies were all delicious. Get the miso soup and the gyoza every time I go and they're always fresh, hot and tasty. I've tried at least half of the menu and I'm gonna work my way through the other half because everything here is always tasty and fresh. Also, good tasty and strong drinks too. read more

Do not be scared away from the look of this place., it is a hole in the wall. The food was good and the prices are reasonable and the service was very efficient. We had appetizers and a few sushi rolls which were all very pleasing. If your looking for reasonable priced sushi definitely try this place I also judge a place on how clean they keep the bathroom. Not a lot of great food spots in Manchester, this is one of good ones and its definitely the best sushi spot in the downtown area. Fish is fresh and the prices reasonable. Unlike other restaurants. They don't cheap out on the cuts. Sashimi combo is all fish with a good mix of mackeral, yellowtail, salmon etc. No fake egg, shrimp or crab cheap subs here. Hasn't been open long but I expect these guys to start taking market share. read more

Note to self: get G Two's chicken all day long. This place was outstanding. I had the Tso's chicken, Seeame Chicken, and a few different sushi rolls - the one with lobster in it was a dream come true. I am so full right now I can barely stand up. read more

This is a casual friendly sushi/ Japanese restaurant with excellent food and service. The staff is friendly and attentive. The sushi is very fresh with warm rice. The warm sake was excellent. Ordered online for pickup. Parking difficult but attributed to busy time of the weekend. A little difficult finding the store due to umbrellas and trees outside blocking the front of the store partly. Staff was quick to greet and help me find my order on the counter. WOW!!!! Is all I can say about how amazing this place is in one word, I deeply recommend this place as a sushi lover myself! The staff was so nice and Helped me pick out some recommended sashimi, and oh boy.... you cant get anything fresher!!! The Yellowtail Sashimi i had was clean and so delicious, it literally melted in my mouth of how soft it was! And usually places i go give you some small slices, this was a thick and generous slice(s)! The sushi was Fresh and well made, the fish had absolutely no fishy taste or scent. This place is truly an outstanding hole in the wall!! Everything was nice and clean, and the bathroom was especially clean and kept up with, My partner had the General Tso Chicken with some fried rice, and my god!! It was the perfect amount of spice, sauce, crunch, and tenderness of the chicken! Kinda crunchy on the outside while the inside was a nice tender soft piece of chicken. I love their pan fried dumplings (gyoza) and fried rice. The staff is always very polite and attentive. I have gone there quite a few times, so they recognize me and my order. The restaurant always looks great and the bathroom is one of the cleanest public restrooms I have ever seen. Not to mention, they are super speedy. My takeout order has never taken more than 15 mins to complete. Excited to go back and try more! read more

Stopped last night on our way up to VT. So delicious we had to stop again tonight on our way home. The agedashi tofu is done in a rice based coating rather than panko. Delish alternative. The raw selections are fresh. Having the ability to order a little hibachi rice is good too! This will be a great stop when heading north. read more

Slow service. I don't know if they are understaffed or what but the service was extremely slow and food took for ever to come out. I never understand sushi places where the shashimi takes so long to come out. Got here at 7pm didn't get any food untill 750 pm. Sushi was decent nothing to write home about. Typical downtown restaurant, sits about 30 people at max capacity. Clean and modern interior. This restaurant seems to do a ton of take out so it was a bit annoying heating the door open and close constantly slamming. read more

First time to go to Osaka. Best sushi type food we've had in a long time. My guest did the maki combo which included miso soup, salad and three rolls. She loved it all. Felt the rolls included much more fish and less rice than other places. I had fried dumplings, salmon sashimi and an Alaska roll. All were excellent. The fish was super fresh tasting and buttery in consistency. The roll had a generous amount of fish and avocado. I did need to add a little rice vinegar to dumpling sauce to cut its sweetness. Will definitely go back. read more

This place has become our go to for sushi. Nice and small with an independent feel to it. Sushi appetizer is a great start, and most of the rolls are spot on, from the basic spicy tuna and Alaska rolls, to the Bedford, New Hampshire, Rainbow etc. versions. Our favorite is the Snow White roll, with scallops and a dash of sriracha. We also tried a couple of cooked noodle dishes like pad Thai and stir fried udon, both of which were ok. Go for the sushi. At busy times the service can be slow, but all in all a great place for fresh sushi read more

I had given up on finding high quality sushi in NH until I ate here. The sushi chef is Japanese, and he understands that freshness and presentation are hallmarks of the best sushi and sashimi. We ordered a la carte, stayed away from all the fancy rolls with cream cheese, and tried 5 different sushi items: tuna, yellowtail, tobiko, unagi, and mackerel. All were excellent. I have have eaten in every time except one time when I had a friend bring me take-out while I was sick with COVID. The meal traveled extremely well and if I was in a bind, I'd certainly opt for take-out again. I have not experienced the lunch buffet, every time I visit, it is after buffet hours. However, I do hope to try it some time soon. I haven't been disappointed by anything lately, the biggest complaint that I had was when a Samosa had a cool core, but I do understand that some food has to be prepared in advance and I'd rather have a cool center than an overcooked exterior.

Working in restaurants in the past, if that's their standard, then I distrust their entire approach to service.
