The crab rangoon I think was made in house, very tasty and super crunchy and warm. The hibachi chicken and shrimp with fried rice were so good! The sauce was very well balanced and thick and the meat was lightly seared but not over cooked, bringing out the flavor. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Casual but good enough for a date. And the staff was nice prompt to answer questions and anticipated our needs. She seemed honestly excited to see us enjoy our food. What used to be a balanced piece of sushi is now about 90% rice and 10% fish. The fish slices are paper-thin while the rice portions are oversized and packed tightly. For an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, it feels like a deliberate tactic to fill customers up on cheap rice so they can't order and enjoy more sushi. That's not what people come here for. We come for quality sushi, not fist-sized balls of rice with a sliver of fish on top. What makes this even more frustrating is that I brought my concerns to the staff and management and was essentially dismissed. There was no effort to address the issue or make things right. If you're going to cut portions and reduce quality, at least be honest about it instead of pretending nothing has changed. Unfortunately, after being a loyal customer for so long, I can no longer justify spending my money here. There are too many other sushi restaurants that understand what nigiri is supposed to look like and actually value their customers. Very disappointing experience.
