Found this place after a not so good doctor's appointment and it lifted my spirits! After being spooked by the prices of the next door business, finding reasonably priced delicious food was fantastic! First off this chicken karaage (Japanese style fried chicken) was perfection. So crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the imside. There is a process to making this and they did it so right!. Next the clear soup and miso soup. Both rich and flavorful one of the best clear soups I have tasted. The crab rangoon I think was made in house, very tasty and super crunchy and warm. The hibachi chicken and shrimp with fried rice were so good! The sauce was very well balanced and thick and the meat was lightly seared but not over cooked, bringing out the flavor. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Casual but good enough for a date. And the staff was nice prompt to answer questions and anticipated our needs. She seemed honestly excited to see us enjoy our food. A bit out of our way but most likely will stop by after the next appointment! Wow! This place is fantastic! I loved the food and the service was excellent! After getting our of an appointment with the hubby we were starving. We couldn't think of where to eat? So we decided to drive a bit amd finally we decided on one place. Well that place wasn't this one. But we didn't end up eating at the other place. We then decided on this one. And boy oh boy we were glad we changed our mind. This has made it to our list of favorite restaurants. Little wait, well to be fair we were the only ones in the restaurant. I believe they were opening for late lunch. We ordered and we didn't wait long for the appetizers to come out. Soon after the main dishes came out. I want to go back! Tried Tsusaki Sushi & Grill for the first time with my family and we were really impressed. The food was delicious, fresh, and very well priced. We ordered several of our usual favorites and every dish hit the mark. The crispy tuna rice and edamame were standouts, but honestly everything was yummy. Found this hidden gem as I am traveling into Orlando for work for a couple of days. I was craving sushi and found this spot as I was driving by. It was earlier in the evening and I was greeted warmly and sat right away. The server was kind and attentive and had a cheerful kind attitude. I ordered three different roles and it was delicious. Ordered take out and I was really disappointed with this meal. The sushi rolls were tiny, even the chef's specialty rolls that cost almost twice as much as the regular ones. The Volcano Roll had no flavor at all. The Crunchy Roll wasn't crunchy. The Monster Roll was the best one we tried, nice textures, but even that was small for the price. The crab rangoons were unfortunately a letdown. They were mostly empty inside, just hollow shells with barely any filling. The bit of filling that was there actually tasted great -- a sweet, creamy flavor -- but there just wasn't enough of it. The red sauce that came with it was yummy tho. The garlic and spicy edamame were soggy and watery. Nothing had the fresh, bold flavors I expected. Between the portion sizes and the quality, this just didn't live up to the price. I use to come here all the time prior to the name change and I guess new owner. They had happy hour which made it popular. I said I'd try this place out and wasn't impressed, kinda disappointed. The maki sushi rolls are very small and bland. The miso soup also isn't flavorful, more watered down with a ton of seaweed in it. I don't think I'd return. They changed the layout slightly, and added fancy lighting. Now you are paying more for less and not better quality. read more

My husband and I used to frequent this place every week, sometimes multiple times a week. We stopped going for a while because every time we went we ended up waiting 20+ minutes after the pick up time for the food. We even continued going despite finding an eyelash in my white sauce once. The Good: The restaurant is beautiful and serene. The music played softly in the background and wasn't a distraction. Our server was attentive and our food came out quickly. She was quick to refill our water, which she served from a pitcher steeped with fresh fruit. The menu was well thought out, offering truly unique options, with pictures of some of their popular dishes. The ambiance alone was worth 5 stars. The Not So Good: The food was mediocre at best. We started with the spicy tuna nachos and hot rock appetizers. The spicy tuna mixture had zero flavor. Literally none. They rolled it into a ball and sat it on top of a Tostito's scoop. Cute and convenient but very conflicting flavor profiles. Spicy tuna and tortilla chips do not go together. My husband enjoyed the octopus takoyaki, but I could barely stand the smell of the wooden fish shavings. We ordered several other items that were also disappointing. The salmon sushi tasted fishy, the Florida volcano was sloppy and flavorless, and the kimchi sauce on the crazy tuna roll was gross. We absolutely love kimchi and this sauce was unpleasant to say the least. We highly recommend that you ask to taste the kimchi sauce first before you order a roll soaked in it. Our favorite was the Out of Control Roll, which we added cream cheese to. Overall, the restaurant is beautiful and has a lot to offer. The quality was there, but the flavor wasn't. I even wondered if they water down their soy sauce. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong things, or went on an off day. Craving satisfied. They have scallops !!! You can choose 7 items from a specific list for your chirashi bowl. The sashimi pieces tasted fresh and not fishy. Our out of control roll had good sized pieces of the shrimp tempura however I did not taste/see any crab in the roll unless the description Im reading on the website is different from the menu. No soup or salad came with our meal though. No complaints on the service. Cute Ambiance with Lucky Cat theme. The decor in the restaurant is modern and bright but also cozy. We had a wonderful server, Gabby, who was knowledgeable and so helpful when going through the menu. We were blown away by their presentation of our sushi rolls, which came in small sushi boats with fresh flowers. The food was delicious, the fish was very fresh, and it was overall some of the best sushi that we have had in the Orlando area. What killed my experience was the waitress who tried to get me to give more than the 15% tip I left . The 15% was already a huge gift. Did I get anything extra ? Something special ? No. Everything was average, even the service. My tip was a gift, not earned. Unfortunately, I will never go back and I will have to let the rest of Lake Nona to avoid this place. Went here on a whim for dinner with a friend from out of town. They really were craving sushi and this place was close to both of us. Presentation was wonderful on all the food. The servers were very attentive and also very friendly. The restaurant was very clean as well and was inviting. They had a lot of selections on the menu so you can please pretty much anyone.
