    Sake and birthday card
    Erica S.

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Izuki. When you walk in, it feels like you're in a Tokyo nightclub from the 1970s. Sort of cheesy disco music that grows on you, mirror and wood decor with a sleek design. We were greeted promptly and seated shortly after, we were the only party at the bar (there was another party in one of the little private rooms) this was the 815 seating fwiw. At our places, a birthday card awaited us, and the chefs both smiled and said hello. We ordered a bottle of sake and waited for the meal to begin. The menu offers 4 app, 11 pieces of nigiri, a hand roll and dessert. Our 4 apps (plus a bonus 5th!) were delicious. Well composed and creative. The first was an oyster, with some ikura, ponzu and other flavors, it was a favorite! Next up was a one bite arctic char composition which was yummy tho a bit difficult to take in one bite (chefs recod one bite if you could, so we did!). Following that was what one chef said was his favorite, Kanpachi rolled around thin potato strings and truffle in some sauce. Delish! One of our faves too! Then we had a small serving of Yuzu miso cod, with marinated tomatoes and cucumbers, which I enjoyed. At this point, I had been a bit distracted taking a couple pics and hubs suggested the phone go away, so I can't remember the 5th surprise appetizer I'm afraid. Then we moved on to nigiri. Fish was very fresh, and prepared more traditionally IMHO. Think fish with wasabi on rice with small additions like Yuzu kosho or sea salt, VS the appetizer sections' layered flavors. The selection was good, including chu and o toro tuna, hotate (a fave), uni (another fave), Kanpachi, etc. It also included a piece of wagyu, fired with a cool blowtorch, but not for me (I prefer fish anyhow) and ended with a piece of eel, another I'm less of a fan of. My only gripe here, and it's personal preference, was that the rice wasn't sticky enough/was loose in consistency, though well seasoned. After nigiri we had a crispy otoro hand roll, it had the potato strings in it I think, and the seaweed was so crisp and toasty! I really appreciate this as a hand roll fan. Dessert was a delightful cheesecake, one of the better post omakase desserts we have had in our travels, some green tea (yum) and we were also brought an additional, special dish of wagyu, ikura, rice and truffle with a candle for my birthday celebration, a free round of sake once our bottle was out, and a mini bouquet of flowers with little lights. They sure knew how to make a gal feel special!

Omakase experience that I will always come back to! The food was very fresh, delicious, pretty and def an experience within itself. The service was top notch. Every server/busser kept making sure our plates were rotating accordingly, that we always had drinks and above all.. extremely eloquent and polite. The ambiance was another experience. You can truly believe that you are in Japan in a local restraint were you know you are about to have the best food

Omg this was the most amazing sushi experience I've ever had. The food was so fresh and it was so amazing getting to watch each individual appetizer and nigiri piece right in front of us. The chefs and wait staff were so friendly and attentive, and it really made the meal. It is pricy, but it is SOO worth it! 17 courses; 4 appetizers (we got a surprise extra one that was really special), 11 nigiri pieces, a hand roll, and a dessert. Out favorite pieces were the bluefin tuna, salmon with caviar, and wagyu. This is a special place that we will definitely make be our special date night

Sushi Izuki was an amazing experience! Definitely a great bang for your buck for an omakase experience in the Orlando area. It is a new and visually appealing restaurant. The service was amazing too! Every person who brought or cleared our plates were very polite and knowledgeable. When we went they only had sake, and it was pretty pricey, I would have preferred a nice cocktail, but that was ok. My husband took me here for my birthday, and they did lots of little nice things to make me feel extra special. They had a cute, little sign, gave me flowers, and the best was a small wagyu beef and rice dish with a candle (at the end). But to the main point the omakase ... it is currently an 18 course meal for $150 per person. Each course is small but I left feeling satisfied. They start you off with 5 seasonal appetizers, then the main event (in my opinion) the 11 pieces of nigiri, followed by a hand roll and dessert (2). Again, everything was delicious, fresh and the presentation was beautiful! Highly recommend!

Nagiri rolls #1, #2, and #3. #3 was my favorite!

My best friend took me to Sushi Izuki for their tatami room omakase experiance for my birthday!! On their website, it is described as Tatami Room Omakase 18 Course Price: 150$ 5 Seasonal Appetizers 11 Piece Nigiri 1 Handroll 1 Desert Exclusively featuring our dry-aged selection alongside our Japanese Seasonal Fish Everything was beautifully presented, with time in between each course. They brought us a plate of ginger chunks so that we could cleanse our palate between each peice or dish. They brought out a wonderful hot earthy green tea as a palate cleanser after the nagiri and before the handroll. We were in a private room but could still see the bar and some of the things the chefs were doing. They had a note on the table wishing me a happy birthday and they brought me flowers! After our meal was concluded they brought out a special birthday surprise! Foie gras, fatty tuna, salmon pearls, and caviar with rice. The atmosphere was wonderful, but a little chilly, the food excellent, and the pace of dishes was just right. Absolutely a wonderful experiance would highly recomend!

This new Omakase is totally worth the hype! The chefs have brought new and exciting flavor combinations from New York to Orlando. Currently only offering a 17 course omakase but soon adding a 12 course, I loved that there were unique twists on dishes to make them stand out. One thing I had never seen before was a charcoal topped toro, the charcoal added such an amazing flavor that I loved! Each appetizer was outstanding, the fish was so fresh, Everyone was so attentive to needs, and the seating was gorgeous! I will be back!

I was so excited to hear about another omakase coming to town so had to try it. It was $150 for 17 course which is pretty good. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. Although not opened yet, they have seating at a table (not at bar) which is nice in case you have kids with you or want to chitchat with your friends at a table. Waiters and chefs were very kind and attentive. Always made sure waters were full and that the amount of soy sauce and wasabi were to our liking. Each course was DELICIOUS. Still thinking about it days later. Highly recommend trying.

Excellent! So glad to have Omakase this good on our side of town! We will be back. A lot. How exactly do you review an Omakase ("Chef's choice", basically) restaurant when the dishes served can change nightly? That's the question. Because of Omakase's very nature, it is rather useless to tell you exactly what we had- since you may not have it if you visit! ( Although that Foie gras and shrimp... and the fatty Toro... and that layered dessert... and... and....yummmmm!) Suffice it to say that what I CAN tell you is that tonight, everything was amazing. Every dish was mouthwatering. Chef Leo, Z, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome as well. Can't wait to return and bring more family and neighbors with us!

    Jimmy B.

Chef Leo, you are doing great! Hope you get that star you're trying to get. I'm truly happy I stumbled across this on my social media feed. I've been craving omakase lately and although this isn't by any means cheap, it's definitely one of the solid bang for your buck omakase restaurants. The vibe check is great (beautiful interior, especially the traditional booths) and the food is of course, outstanding. Their omakase is 18-19 courses, and starts off with some appetizers before moving onto some choice nigiri selections, and one handroll. A dessert finishes off your meal. They also added such a nice surprise since we were celebrating an anniversary, which not all places do, so that was a spectacular touch! Some of the standouts for me was the Hokkaido scallop (so fresh and buttery and sweet.. YUM), the fresh Uni, and the Otoro was definitely some of the best I've had in the states, even against Edoboy, Soseki and Sorekara, etc. The specialize in aging their fish which I expect attributes to how tender the sushi was. So overall, really enjoyed my experience. Now, some minor critique, only specifically to help them attain a star since these would be the small things I'd look for if I was a Michelin guide reviewer: - Clean the sushi plate occasionally, a simple wipe will really elevate the experience - Portioning looked a bit uneven, I unfortunately felt like I was getting minority smaller pieces than my seat mates at the bar. It may not seem like a big deal but when it's things like foie gras and caviar, it becomes that much grander of a deal. - A similar comment to above, sous chefs may need more training to be more consistent with chef Leo. Portioning is obviously one but cook time and searing is another. We had a super personal chef prepare our omakase for us and not Chef Leo, and he was like 10/5 stars in service, but some of that cut into the food quality and consistency. For example, he was super accommodating on the photos and would take turns bringing his prep closer to us so we could grab nicer shots, but this led to some oversearing on the wagyu - what was supposed to be one of the standouts ended up being a bit of a let down. One of our otoro sushi also broke apart, and although the chef was kind enough to make another, this type of thing shouldn't happen and would make attaining that star difficult. - A detailed menu of what we had ate would be nice and is standard in Michelin star restaurants. Again, this may seem like a long list of critiques but it's only in the eye of if a star is warranted or not. I had such a good time otherwise, and will definitely come back for more!

Incredible omakase experience near Disney! It was $150 for an 18-20 course menu. I can't remember exactly how many courses we got because the chef squeezed in some extras. This was a great deal compared to other omakase experiences in the area. The fish was fresh and delicious. Every course we got was delicious. The staff and chefs were so pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely come back!

We seriously cannot stop coming back to this place! We've honestly lost count of how many times we've visited since they opened in the summer of 2025. The reason we keep returning is simple: consistency. Every single visit is just as good -- if not even better -- than the last. The service here is truly on another level. The staff is attentive, friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. They make every experience feel special. Chef Leo's sushi game is unmatched! The quality of the fish and ingredients is beyond fresh, and the execution and creativity behind each dish is phenomenal. Hands down, this is the BEST omakase experience in Orlando! One thing we really love is that they are constantly evolving and introducing new dishes. Even if you've been before, you need to come back to see what's in season and what new creations the chef is crafting. Chef Leo genuinely interacts with guests, asks for feedback, and wants to know your favorite bites -- you can tell he truly listens to his customers and takes pride in the experience he creates. Another detail I really enjoy is that after the 17-course omakase, you have the option to order additional pieces of your favorite bites before dessert for an extra charge. It's such a nice touch, especially when there's a dish you just can't stop thinking about. They also offer a great drink menu with a variety of beers, sake, and wines that pair beautifully with the meal.

The sushi was excellent. So many great flavors. 17-course meal, four appetizers, 11 sushi rolls, one hand roll, and dessert. Every bite was fantastic. I was stuffed by course 12. But my wife and son were able to complete all the dishes. The chef was amazing. He explained every dish very well. He was personable and chatted with us as he was making the dishes. The staff was great. They offer private seating, and it looks really lovely. I enjoyed the bar area with the chef. My only recommendation would be that they offer drinks other than sake, such as wine or Japanese whiskey. I enjoy saki, though.

    Nicole N.

What an experience. Wow. The location is prime. The restaurant is gorgeous. The staff is beyond friendly & the food is fantastic. I cant even put into words how good all of this food was. For the courses received the price was very fair. My favorite was the all apps, scallop & wagyu nigiri & the dessert. Can't wait to come back.

Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.
