This place is a true gem. It is honestly some of the best sushi I've had, and I've had a lot. The rice ratio is perfect. Osaka is hidden in a city called Madison that is small and far from everything. I was here for work and my hotel happen to be 5 mins away. I ate here everyday for a week. My go to is the Rainbow roll, Philly, Cali and Village. All were perfect. I also like the black widow, which is their version of a Spider roll. Everything tasted fresh and fish slices were thick. Service was quick. I can't really complain bc every time I went, it didn't seem busy. It's a small town so of course, I didn't expect to see large gatherings or crowded dining rooms. The ambiance kind of threw me off, I do wish it had more of an Asian feel. Asian music or maybe even movies on the TVs that were at the table. I heard about this restaurant from family, and decided to give it a try. We were immediately welcomed, making the experience positive from the start. There is always something to look at, but the restaurant is in no way overwhelming. They have a variety of food options, and I was happy to be able to access much of the menu as it wasn't all reliant on real crab. We absolutely loved the Dinosaur Eggs appetizer, and their sushi is so fresh all around. The specialty Spicy Girl roll was outstanding as well, being a dish that could be shared (if you so choose!). We were also surprised by the udon they made in house; the two ordered by my party smelled so good and were good enough to take home and eat the next day. We plan to go back for udon and potentially the sushi appetizers. I really have no complaints--the food was excellent and the service was very pleasant. read more

I've been coming to Madison, OH for a couple years for work. Ever since I stopped in to have sushi at Osaka Sushi House, no other sushi place I've been to in the Midwest even compares to the love you get in every bite. This is honestly the best sushi place in the Midwest, I travel for work and cover 10 states while living in Indiana/Chicago-land area and nothing even touches the quality and flavorful sushi you get while at Osaka. I only come over here once a year unless something unexpected happens. Bro! Seriously I would move to Madison, OH just to eat at Osaka once a week, shit I lie every damn day. I recommend the dinosaur egg and dragon ball for an appetizer. As for rolls you can't go wrong with any of them, heck they have vegan options for you weirdos. Jk. I've had the Halloween Roll, Kiss on fire Roll, Bronco Roll just to name a few. This trip at least that's what I got, you can't go wrong. Seriously try this place you won't be disappointed. All the food tasted even better than it looked, and it looked unbelievable. It was art on a plate. Everyone at our table (my son, my daughter, and her fiance, and I) were so impressed with everything we ordered. I had the Mango Mango Roll, which was more than I expected. The crab was so tender and sweet (lots of it too), and the mango sauce was just nice--tasted like mango, nice and light, and not syrupy sweet. I enjoyed this lunch immensely with a glass of green tea on ice. My son loved his Magnolia Roll, which offered a great presentation on his plate. My daughter had the Valentime Roll; I have never seen something so lovely! She relished every bite. Her fiance had a sashimi plate with a Willoughby Roll. He remarked twice that he hadn't had food like this in years. Our service was impeccable! Our server smiled and greeted us the minute we opened the door. We wanted for nothing at our table.
