My family (with young kids) favorite. Great food, service and atmosphere. Always good!

Osawa is one my favorite restaurants by far! I love their Fried Rice- we get it with beef, which is excellent! The friend rice is so tender, and full of beef, and vegetables. The Massaman curry is beyond delicious!! I love that it is unique, it doesn't only have chicken in it, but it has slices of potatoes, avocados and cashews in it, with just enough spice. So good! Also...Service is above and beyond. I ordered online, and immediately received a call letting me know that they couldn't do what I asked for (zero spice, haha), which I appreciated!

Overall excellent local place! Service is friendly and fast, even when it gets busy. The sushi's always very fresh, and equally as important is the rice! Someone has been trained to prepare sushi rice back in the kitchen. The food is always consistently prepared and dependable. We have had many different dishes and they have all been great. The curry was very good, Singapore noodles are great especially with their huge shrimp. No joke, the shrimp they use is always cooked perfectly and large sized. I'm impressed with their shrimp preparation. The chicken Katsu is very good also! Large portion and the crispy breading stays on to the chicken! The chicken is also very good in all their dishes, very tender. We just tested them out for a birthday party of 14 and we were accommodated quite well for such a large party. This place is fast becoming our "go to" spot we didn't imbibe on alcohol but the table of 6 nearby did and the6 were getting all these exotic drinks and having a blast. It was just a fun night! The host topped the night off with a big piece of cake with a candle and ice cream for the birthday girl! Thanks again Osawa for an enjoyable evening.

Excellent reasonable price sushi on Main Street of Ayer. Great presentation of boat sushi platter. Recommend: - shrimp tempura roll $9.50 - eel avocado roll $7.50 - Spider roll $10 has nicely crispy soft shell crab - Osaka roll $15 Good: - Dragon roll $15 has nice avocado outside, could be bigger - salmon roll $6.50 is small, but comes with nice fresh fish - Sashi 14 pieces regular $24 comes fresh and nicely served on ice Pineapple rice looks gloriously served in a pineapple - next on the list to try!

If I were rating the sushi alone, it would get 5 stars. The sushi is one of the best i've had, and i've been to a lot of sushi places. The raw tuna in the poke bowl melts in your mouth. The quality is excellent. When it came to their crab rangoons, pork belly, general gaos, etc. it was... good. As good as any decent chinese place. Would I drive an hour for their raw fish? Yes. Would I drive an hour for their other dishes? No.

Tuna, mackerel, octopus, salmon roe; as well as a spicy tuna roll and a golden island roll.

Once again an outstanding meal at the sushi bar. I love the salad appetizer that they present to you before the sashimi and rolls arrive.

This was some of the worst sushi I've had. It was late on a week night and maybe that's the reason the food wasn't good. I won't be back.

I was there just last week and a middle aged "lady" noticed that I was having difficulty finding an item (lite soy, not low sodium). She spent about 10 minutes helping me with finding the item....plus she gave me some great tips on shopping Asian markets. The place was quiet, which allowed Ben to sirens time talking to us and giving is the ones and outs of his creations. Our server was Sienna, who was bright and personable, and worked side by side with Chef Ben to make our meal memorable. We started our meal with oysters. Chef gave us his recommendations and they were has delicious as he hyped them up to be. Then we tried the lobster guacamole, which the star of the shows was actually the bacon lardon that's layered in. A must try for anyone who loves this dip. I had the pineapple braised pulled pork tacos. I could barely finish two, yet alone the 3 healthy sized tacos. And my girlfriend was treated to both the crab cake and the specialty salmon cakes. She proclaimed the salmon the winner of that cake battle. For desert, which we didn't finish either, was the berry cobbler. I compared it to an oversized toaster strudel, but homemade and much more flavorful. Overall, we love it here. This is our 2nd trip and we'll be sure to come again soon! Pro Tip: sit at the Oyster Bar, watching the kitchen working is a phenomenal experience. Thank you again to Chef Ben and Sienna! And look, they also have events coming up!!

Overall, it is good for burgers, fries, chicken fingers, bowls.... I do not feel the prices are unrealistic. A burger is $13. If you go to Tavern In the Square, a burger is going to cost you $16. The staff is nice. Once in a while you get someone who is having a bad day, but that happens everywhere. You never know what is going on in people's lives so give them a break. If they are really bad, I joke and tell them I am going to leave them a bad tip. Some of them get worse after that and others realize they are in the service industry and get better..... All this to say I never had a bad experience and will go back again.

The service itself was fine for only having 2 waitresses. My issue is with the food itself. I had already spent over $30 for tickets to a movie and they are over charging their severely lacking cuisine. My boyfriend got a BLT for $9 and I ordered a friend chicken sandwich for $14. I was not expecting top of the line, but I had higher standards than they met. My chicken was bland and tasteless with a piece of plastic cheese on top that plastered itself to my teeth. There was also a vein of fat through the center that was very off putting. I only made it half way through before I had to throw in the towel. The fries looked good, but were also not palatable. The mojito I had was fine, but expensive at $12 a pop. Overall I will never spend my money here again. Our movie date night ended up costing me $130 with everything together and it is not worth that money for not being able to finish my food. If anything I would recommend Market Basket down the hill and avoid the stomach ache.

Even when the staff bags my groceries they are so nice. Yeah, maybe Market Basket has wider variety and cheaper items but if you don't want to be fighting a madhouse on a busy day, and appreciate a more small-town, personal touch , definitely I would recommend coming in here. The meat dept has set aside things for me if I call ahead for an urgent need, the seafood dept has pointed me to items in their frozen case if they think I could get a better economical deal. I recently used their catering over the holidays and they couldn't be nicer - got a personal call to go through the order instead of someone telling "just fill it out online" (Whole Foods). An earlier review asked why would people come here if it's usually more expensive, my answer is: if you have the ability to support businesses like this where there is heart in customer service - that adds to the sense of a small town community and makes you feel good about living nearby. Donelans also is a big supporter of school children including Girl Scouts - which is another great thing about them. It is usually not crazy busy and a more peaceful experience (not noisy like other stores).
