Not my first time here, it's more or less your usual Chinese place There were some good and some bad. The lunch prices are agreeable, and the Shrimp was tasty enough. I recommend the scechwan wonton soup, it's just Hot n Sour but with wontons in it I will say, fact that the shrimp being served on a pile of lettuce was a detractor because the lettuce tasted rather wet, covered in the sauce. I love this place. I live nearby and come often for sushi. My wife and I have lunch dates here, the sushi rolls are always delicious. The ambience and decor is very nice. The servers are always polite and smiling. I love the Red Sox roll and snow mountain Maki. My wife loves the Mexican roll. My parents live close by so they've gone a few times, but I went for the first time yesterday night (a Tuesday). Ambiance was nice and it was relatively quiet. Service was quick and the food wasn't too bad, definitely very filling. I ordered the bento box which came with soup and salad, a deal which I think has the most value. The sashimi was pretty good, especially the salmon, and the tempura was okay, although the non shrimp ones were a bit soggy. There was a lot of rice though and not really anything to eat it with on the plate so that went virtually untouched. My parents thought that their chicken was overcooked though unfortunately. The beef was fine though. Overall, the food was decent but could be better. My family are essentially regulars so I will probably be eating here again, most likely will get a different bento box. read more

Tried their sushi for the first time. Although the presentation was artistically visual, the size was puny. Tasty, but sufficient for a kid. Sushi for $17 should be substantial in size. Once you knock it down to its side, there was hardly any rice. The girth was the size of a quarter. Very disappointing. Highly recommend Market Basket, Leominster, or Yamato, Fitchburg, for sushi. Not sure about the complaints about the food. For the most part we have always found it fresh and fast. Prices are good. Sushi fresh, avoid yellow tail though. Szechian Dumplings with hot sesame sauce is one of our favorites but lately has come out a bit watery. Great Chinese and sushi lunch specials. Always very clean and kinda fancy for a strip mall restaurant. Not that I play but they now have Keno. Tons of parking. Really my only complaint would be the bar atmosphere is a bit cold. They don't have someone behind the bar at all times and it's not the kind of place that the staff will get to know your name. Kinda all business here. read more

I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls and the vegetarian fried rice, as well as the rainbow roll, and Monkey Roll for delivery and it was quick and efficient and at perfect temp. I'm finally getting around to this. We ordered out New Years Eve but should have known better. They only allowed four people in at a time. When inside, I looked back. A dozen people spaced socially outside. Every person who went to the counter had their bag brought it immediately, which means everything has been previously mass produced and sitting in the shelf. Arriving home, the food was cold, gummy and badly in need of reheating. The pancakes had been badly burned, broke like glass and were inedible. I understand this holiday tradition can be stressful for a take out restaurant but the counter staff were downright rude. Will I go back when covid-19 is over? People rave about the place. Stopped in for a quick lunch/dinner on our way to the rink. Was in and out in just over 1/2 hour. And that included us taking FOREVER to decide what to order. Every thing was good. The Jumbo coconut shrimp and the Mongolian beef are great and our go to meal. I'd give the place a five if their sushi was better, but as far as Chinese food goes, Red Ginger gets two thumbs up from me. Very disappointed overall. We ordered take out a couple nights ago. $76 worth of food. Prices have clearly gone up - I get it during Covid-19 but then I expect quality food. Two sushi rolls - okay. Crab Rangoon good. Egg rolls okay. Pork fried rice - tiny pieces of pork, very few. Fairly bland. I try not to add soy, but had to to bring up flavor profile. Chicken Lo Mein, kids said it was very bland, very little chicken in it. Beef with mushrooms - absolutely no flavor and mushrooms were barely cooked. I'm heating up leftover tonight and I'm going to pan fry the mushrooms first, add the beef in and add seasoning. Really very disappointing. Then we get 4 cups of duck sauce and 3 cups of hot mustard sauce...stupid for just the 2 egg rolls and an order of crab Rangoon...straight down the drain. Lastly, no plain white rice included. My family has ordered from Red Ginger for many years and have always enjoyed their food. Thank you! One thing that I order every time is seaweed salad. It is my and my daughter's favorite. But, the last 2 times that I've ordered it within the last month, the seaweed salad has tasted very different. Thinking it was a fluke the first of the 2 times, I just threw the seaweed salad out thinking it might have gone bad. But, the same thing happened tonight where the seaweed salad tasted terrible and we had to throw it out again. Has the restaurant changed suppliers for the seaweed salad, or something like that? I'm a biased regular. So I'll admit that upfront. But I love this place. It's like this small, little escape for me that I can go to in those very rare moments when I get a few minutes for myself. The staff is great -- even better since I'm a buying regular. When I walk in, they happily greet me, I take a spot at the bar and before I sit they've started my scorpion bowl. ... Don't judge me. I know my cutoff point. I also will order food and its been pretty consistent. A bit oily to be honest but, well.... Is what it is. The sushi though is surprisingly legit! House specials are usually good bit ive actually had some cool veggies. No, I dont mean they were "special", I mean they werent as warm as they should've been. But again, I go there for peace and to exhale with a drink and it doesn't break the bank. The atmosphere is nice and its one of very few spots I feel comfortable in and really enjoy being in. That has changed, I was there last week and the food was excellent, sushi was fresh and the menu has been updated and has more interesting options including the traditional choices. Certainly not going to go back even though this place is fairly local to me. The miso soup was full brown old seaweed that was basically like chewing on hand paper towels. I asked for another and they said "No". Then told me that all of them had it and tried to play it off like they are fish flakes (Bonito flakes). No one else on my table had this issue. There are bones in the salmon sushi (wtf? sashimi salmon with bones?!) Yeah, I'm good. I would certainly go up the street and drive a little further for Sushi House. We are regulars here for the sushi, which is the best in the area. In fact, we're there so frequently, we have VIP cards (10% off each visit, hey-o!) and have started to speak to our service staff in Mandarin Chinese. The Red Ginger Sushi and Sashimi for Two (one of the sushi boats) always comes out beautifully (and the price is reasonable). The Red Sox Roll is another of our favorites, and while it maybe isn't 100% authentic per se, it is certainly hands-down-yummm. YES! YES! YES! As for the non-sushi menu, we've only tried the Fried Tofu with Vegetables and it was delicious. The atmosphere is somewhat industrial and uninviting, but the service can't be beat. Everyone is extremely friendly: they know our names, what we want to drink, and make sure our favorite sashimi is available every time. Four stars. We're big fans! read more

We ordered the house special chow mein and it didn't have noodles. It was just a container of vegetables and shrimp, plus a bag of some dried stringy crackers. When we asked about it the staff was rude and treated us like we had no idea what we were talking about. At every other restaurant we've been to, the chow mein actually had noodles in it. It's not one star only because the other food we got was actually pretty good. Edit: after some research, it appears that some Americanized Chinese restaurants do serve chow mein without noodles. Nice local option for Asian food (Chinese and ok Sushi). Fast, efficient service. A good place for lunch or if you want some pretty standard Chinese\Sushi. Good prices, nice bar area with a couple of decent TV's. The lunch specials are a nice price for a good amount of food. They used to have a buffet but no longer offer it obviously they weren't making the money off it so they do offer the lunch specials in its place (good value) but not a good trade off. About a year ago I gave this restaurant very bad review. I was so unhappy with them. My family was over and we all decided that we would give it a try since it had been about a year. We ordered many many items off the menu. And I have to say everything was great we had no complaints we were all very happy and pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. Not good for Kids. Food is subpar. Too much sugar in the sauces. Slow service but I think they were definitely understaffed for a Friday night. Besides the C- food, this place should not be cited as being good for kids. A waitress, who was not ours, came over and asked if I could quiet my child because some table of old tricks complained. First of all, the child screamed 3 or 4 Times - he's two. And second it wasn't my child. I was not holding him. She singled me out because I was the "mom". Uhm, I am black and that baby is white. Why TF are you asking me to calm this child down? How about you ask the man holding him? This ain't the Ritz and parents are trying to get in and out without dealing with sass.
