Delicious food every time! The ranch dip is amazing and the chicken strips are hand breaded. Try the stuffed avocado-it's amazing!

This was our first time - mid-week after the lunch rush. We got the chicken fried steak and it was awesome. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. I sat facing the menu and finally think I figured it out. I can't want to get back to try the nacho/salad/bowls/tacos. It looks like they'll make whatever you want in the tray for one reasonable price. The mild salsa was excellent, the queso was excellent, the jalapeno ranch was excellent! Service was great, food was great, we'll be back. I think this is my new favorite default place to go! read more

Totally bummed by our first/last experience at Oscar Delta. We get there and the line is pretty long so we think this could be a good sign. We wait in line, I order three tacos. Immediately I can tell the tortillas looked old and stale. One was so curled up it broke apart when she tried to flatten it. I assumed (my mistake) that she would grab some that weren't dried and cracking but she didn't. My husband ordered a burger with onion strings. I got two chicken and 1 steak taco no rice/beans. We both get drinks (tea/soda). We check out and it was over $30!! Still confused because we didn't get a receipt that showed the prices but we can do simple math and 3 tacos, burger and onion rings isn't $30! We sit down and he said not to wait on him because my food would get cold. My fist bite it was already cold. Not just room temp, I'm talking cold as is they just got it out of fridge. It tastes like I made chicken tacos the night before and left them on a plate in the fridge overnight without covering it. I had to eat the chicken inside the tortillas because they were so thick and crusty I couldn't even swallow the tortillas. After eating the chicken I moved to the steak and it was WAY worse! I actually gagged, not a joke. It was cold, tough and tasted like it had been chilled/reheated several days in a row. It even had a slight freezer burn taste or maybe just multiple days in a refrigerator. Husband said his burger was good but not how he ordered it. He ordered it with Mayo and it was dry. He went up to the front to get mayo and they handed him ranch instead. He got up again and discovered the to-go condiments and got his own mayo. Plus they got his side order wrong and brought out fries. He reminded them he ordered onion rings so they come back about 5 mins later with more fries! He reminded them again it was onion rings and not fries so they come back a 3rd time with onion rings. Maybe it was an off night, maybe I should have told the lady to get fresh tortillas when I saw the ones she grabbed looked stale and dry but I didn't and we spent more than $30 (still don't understand how) on what tasted like week old leftovers. read more

If there was a rating for less than zero, this would be my rating for Oscar Delta Texas Kitchen in Forney. We drove out to Forney on January 18, 2016 for a birthday luncheon, based on a friends recommendation. We ordered 2 chicken fried steak dinners as well as a order of chips and queso. Imagine my surprise when the "queso" and brown lunch bag half full of chips showed up.... the queso was in a condiment cup. $4.95 for queso and chips... I couldn't believe it. Then the meals showed up... on black paper plates, you serve yourself plastic forks, spoons, knives, napkins and soft drinks.... and you also clean off your own table. The CFS was not like any I have ever had before, the meat didn't require a knife, it just was crumbled up in fried dough. The jalapeno gravy was OK but had too many jalapeno chunks in it for my liking, the french fries were horrible. We took 2 bites and thew it all away except the "steaks" which we brought home to the dogs (minus that horrible gravy) $28 mistake.. you live and learn. Won't be going back, have already notified friends on Facebook to stay away from the place, it was a $28 rip off. Save yourself some money and go to the Bulls Pen in Sunnyvale for good Chicken Fried Steak with 3 sides for less than $10 or go a little further northeast and visit the Cotton Patch Cafe and enjoy all they have to offer. Forney has some great places, this is not one of them... seems more of a high school hang out than a serious restaurant and the picnic dinnerware tells the truth of the real spirit of this place. I do not mind paying $28 for a meal, but I do not expect to pay so much for such poor quality food, zero customer service and serve yourself right down to the napkins on the table. Grandy's would be a better option to this place. read more

This place has pretty good food, from the few times I have been here! I've gotten the burrito, burrito bowl, steak fingers, tacos, avocados....etc... It's all good, and worth it. This place has went down hill. I don't see any familiar faces. The ones working acts like they hate being there. I always was happy to see a certain female manger because things ran smooth and employees seemed happy. It was a great atmosphere. She was always up front interacting with staff and customers. I was told she didn't work there anymore. I was in here for over 45 minutes and not a sign of a manger. Staff preparing food has 3 inch nails. Slopping my food together. No smiles hardly and interaction. Right when I was getting refill a manager came up front just to tell the employees what their not doing and what needs done. Really pathetic. Should of never let the other one leave she was the best. And other employees were so much friendlier. Sad I probably won't come back. My 8 year old granddaughter put food together better than what I experienced today. Food is good but of you walk in and can't get or even see the same atmosphere like it was before it's not worth it. read more

We've been to OD a number of times--the food is simply wonderful! The OMG and the burger (customized to my liking) are awesome and are what keep us going back! Let me start by saying that the food is absolutely amazing. We have always loved the food here. The portion sizes are large and the flavor is really great. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. I wish I could stop there. They can not get an order right to save their lives. About 8 or 9 times out of 10 the order will be wrong in at least one detail. To be fair, they are always willing to fix the error, but that's a small consolation if you order something to go and don't find the problem until you get home. We still eat there and we always enjoy the meal, but I refuse to place to go orders any longer because it's almost a sure thing that what you get home with won't be what you ordered. Dine in? Great. You won't be disappointed with the food, and they will fix any problems with the order quickly. Take out? Forget it. Unless you're willing to totally unpack the order and check everything carefully you won't get what you asked for. read more

I think this place may be in transition to or from Chilioso's? That's what several employees' shirts said. At any rate, the food is fantastic! We had 3 orders for kids, chicken strips that were hand battered and full of flavor with hand cut fries. My husband had the burger that was real beef, hand patted and grilled, best burger that he's had in awhile he said. I had the grilled chicken tacos that came with rice and beans, very tasty! You design your tacos, a la Subway, so they come with as little or as much as you want. Our meal came in under $40 for 5 with drinks-that's a great deal for freshly cooked, not frozen foods. The atmosphere is fast food restaurants, but the food is very upscale in prep, taste, and presentation. We would definitely eat here again! read more

Holy cow! GREAT burger! We had the brisket cheddar bacon burger, and it was fabulous! We also started with the Texas trio, a tray of chips, nice salsa, killer queso, and a huge ice cream scoop of handmade guacamole. HUGE portions. Oscar Delta is the place I take visiting friends and family when they come to Forney. I have yet to try a single thing on the menu that is not absolutely delicious. My favorites are the grilled avocados, hotcakes, and burgers. If you are looking to be pleasantly surprised by tasty, quality food at a reasonable price, go here. read more

Food is great. We go here at least 2X a week and have had almost everything. Burgers are outstanding as well as the tacos, salads, and tortilla soup. My only real complaint is that they don't have corn tortillas for the tacos at either breakfast or lunch. This is one of those places where if you all can't agree on what you want you can go here and they got something for everybody. It's delicious. read more

This is a favorite place for me. It's a great value for what you get. I wish they had coffee in the mornings but then again who wants coffee with a delicious breakfast taco! I also like the lunch/dinner menu. I tried the grilled avocados and while it is not my most favorite menu item it was good as well. Their french fries are awesome as well.
