    Chicken street taco

The food is good but they raised thier prices to a riculous amount. $2 for a plain no frills small chicken street taco. See photo. They just lost a long time customer.

20 tacos for $20! Why not!!!! So we got 5 beef, 5 chicken, 5 barbacoa, and 5 pastor. And a beef torta with French fries. All was delicious. Not the best I've ever had- could use a bit more seasoning on the meat. But pretty good for Terrell, TX. I'd rather visit this little Mexican restaurant any day over those bigger Tex-mex restaurants. These were street tacos, but still very filling. We liked everything but the chicken the least. Service was very nice and fast. They let me sample some barbacoa because I was unsure if I wanted it. Barbacoa and shredded beef were the favs. I LOVED the grilled jalapeños! It was spicy and was a perfect addition. It also came with grilled onions on the side. The green chile sauce at the was good. I wish they had the red chile sauce too. The Fresh kind, not the store bought chile sauces . Torta was good. 4/5 rating. Still not the best. But still satisfying. I really wish the flour tortillas were fresh though. Overall. Still a great find for this small town.

20 for $27 taco platter, oh so good

Got the 20 tacos for $27 and a couple of gorditas and we were more than full with leftovers for home. Sooo good, I preferred the corn tortillas for my tacos, my husband preferred flour, both very tasty regardless. Will be returning!

Visuals: Two Jalapeno Tacos is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Their store sign looks faded, so there is a high chance of driving pass it. If so, it's a must-drive back and eat here! Parking might be a problem when the restaurant gets busy. The restaurant furnishings were basic- just tables and chairs, no booths. They do have a two hanging tvs to watch the new or soap opera when eating though. Food: Their menu provides many options to choose from- crispy or soft tacos, enchiladas, tamales, etc. My boyfriend and I ordered their Combo Plates. For my dish, I ordered Chicken Enchilada with chili sauce and pastor soft taco with rice and beans. The chicken enchilada was dry. I was expecting shredded chicken but it was more of a grounded chicken texture. The pastor taco was delicious and flavorful. My boyfriend ordered a beef enchilada with chili sauce and barbacoa soft taco with rice and beans. The beef enchilada was the better of the two enchiladas. The grounded beef tasted a lot better than the chicken. The barbacoa soft taco was good too. Personally, I liked my dish a lot better than my boyfriend's. Drinks: Aside from your normal soda selections, Two Jalapeno Tacos does offer horchata, cranberry juice, and tamarind drink options. You can sample the drinks, so don't hesitate to ask! Both my boyfriend and I ordered the horchata! It was so refreshing! I'd definitely recommend it! Service: There's no hostess or waiter, so orders were made at the counter. It was a simple process. The overhead menus were easy to read. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. Our food was made and served quickly. Overall, my dining experience was enjoyable. If I'm traveling through East Texas, I will definitely drop by again!

Everything was amazing! This was our first time coming here and we will definitely be back anytime we are in the area. The tacos are cooked/spiced perfectly the way street tacos should be. They came with all of the toppings that should be there and a side of cheese (we didn't use). All three salsas were very good and the one that came with chips had a good spice to it. The rice and beans are really good too. Yelps directions to the restaurant from the freeway are weird though. It takes u past the turn to make a u turn, which is unnecessary there is a little street u can turn right before the restaurant.

They always have great food, I just wish it would have came without the hair:/ very disappointed! Cheese Enchilada

Rude. If they don't understand what you are asking for, they get mad and refuse to serve you.

Very tasty, the help was so nice, could use a little sprucing up on the interior. But I would definitely go back.

THE AL PASTOR CORN TORTILLA TACOS... get them. They're packed with flavor and greasy just like a good street taco should be.

Such a charming, cute, photo worthy decor. The food was delicious, with a very large menu. Everyone was so kind and polite. And the drinks were well done. For our food, we did white queso (super flavorful), guac with the fixing (honestly super fresh) and empanda birria, which we loved. Since it was our first time here we really wanted to try a few different things. Chips were the super thin kind which we like. I probably am not a fan of the warm salsa but thats preference. He got the birria tacos, amazing. I got the chimi with shredded chicken. Super cheesy. Well done. Maybe on the rich side, but good. All that for less than $100 with tip. Seriously I am sold. Cant wait to come back!!

Walked into Mariachi for lunch thinking I was about to enjoy a simple steak burrito. You know…read more.. one of those wildly complicated orders that included ONLY steak, cheese, beans, and rice. Apparently I accidentally requested the "garden fresh surprise" edition because it showed up packed with lettuce and tomatoes. No big deal, mistakes happen. I politely let the server know, expecting the standard "Oops, we'll fix that." Instead, I got hit with the customer service equivalent of a UFC uppercut: "Yeah, that's what you said." After explaining again that I specifically said ONLY, I was then informed they'd have to charge me for an entirely new burrito if they corrected it. Over lettuce and tomato. Not because I ate the whole thing. Not because I changed my mind halfway through. Simply because their version of quality control is apparently "good luck everybody." The best part? Rather than fixing the burrito, offering literally any solution, or attempting basic conflict resolution, they just let me walk out. Imagine losing a customer over shredded lettuce. That's commitment to the principle. I didn't even get to try the actual food, although based on the chips and salsa, I'm not sure I missed a life-changing culinary experience. To be fair, I wasn't rude, I wasn't demanding, and I fully understand mistakes happen in restaurants. But if your first response to a simple correction is "pay for another one," then maybe the problem isn't the burrito. Mariachi taught me an important lesson today: apparently "only" is just a suggestion. Do Better
