We finally got to check this spot out! It's been on my list for a while. It's a great place to hang out on a warm, sunny day! I tried a glass of the 2024 Karl Josef Piesporter, and it was sweet without being overwhelming. It has a laid back vibe, so there's no rush to leave. It's a great place to sit and chat for a while. They're dog friendly, though I will say the dog next to us got a little active with their friend, which was a bit distracting. Overall, it still had a quaint atmosphere. The service was on the slower side, but we weren't in a rush. Just keep that in mind if you're looking for a quicker stop because this spot might not be your best pick. I really enjoyed the wine and the waterfront views, so I'll definitely be back! read more

We stopped in for a cocktail. Our bartender said he was new and had been there a few months. He said he was trying out some new drinks, so he gave us a peach cocktail to share. We ordered two vodka lemonades and two spicy margaritas. A little later he brought out a cheese board and said he was training someone, they had made an extra one, and he wanted us to have it for free. Super nice of him! We sat there enjoying our drinks, the cheese board, and watching the Blue Angels fly by. Great atmosphere. When we asked for the bill it was $73. Keep in mind, that's for four drinks because everything else was given to us for free. We never asked for the peach drink or the cheese board--he offered them. We paid the bill and left a good tip, but come on...$73 for four basic drinks is crazy. Just be aware if you're stopping in. The drinks are not cheap. Even with the free extras, it didn't feel like a good value. read more

V-No Wine Bar is a great spot right on the water in Fells Point--definitely a vibe, especially on a nice day. Sitting outside with a glass of wine while overlooking the harbor is hard to beat. They even have a designated area if you want to enjoy a cigar, which adds to the experience. The service has always been on point--staff is welcoming and attentive. My favorite is the frozen summer drinks with lavender. They're made like slushies and are strong (2 of these and you will be done for the evening) The wine is okay!! though not necessarily the highlight in my opinion. My biggest critique would be the small plates menu. There's a real opportunity here--expanding the food options would take this place to the next level and truly make it a complete experience. read more

We stopped into V-NO Wine Bar while walking around Fells Point, mostly because the location right on the marina caught our eye that part alone is a big selling point. When we arrived, we were the only ones there, and there was one staff member working. That said, she came over immediately, brought us menus, and made the experience feel welcoming right away. We had to ask about tastings and she poured us about four different wines to try, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel relaxed. We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life. read more

Stopped here to get out of the rain with a glass of wine and a snack. It was a great spot and I would definitely come back. The outside area was covered so we were able to still sit on the water and get fresh air despite the rain. We ordered a bottle of gruner veltliner and it was fantastic. Also ordered bruschetta and it was very fresh and tasty. Service was very good. Our server helped with recommendations and was very attentive. read more

Beautiful experience, wine bar located right next to the Pendry on cobblestone streets. It's been around for about 15years and while it has an array of local options...they were sold out of most of the Maryland options. Stopped here on our way to enjoy some crabs for an early dinner. I enjoyed the Giesen non-alcoholic Riesling - New Zealand. It was chilled, mild, flat, light. I wanted more crisp. There is a sparkling option so something to consider in the near future. This is a fun little wine bar with an extensive wine list, cocktails (also two frozen slushee options) and a small menu of snacks. There is indoor and outdoor seating (faces the water) and is a cute place to spend for date night or girls night out. The staff is always really nice and quick to take our order. We've been here a number of times and the service is always great. You can do a flight of wines, have a glass or get a bottle. There are also bottles you can purchase to take home as well. The cocktails for the most part are also good, although the list is small (understandable given it's a wine bar!). There are also some non-alcoholic options and seltzers. While it can be pricey compared to other places around it, you pay for the view of the water and the overall ambiance of the place! If you live in Fells Point, you also get a neighborhood discount! read more

My co-workers and I have been coming here a few times for wine happy hours. The staff are friendly and there's a decent selection of wines to choose from whether it's a glass or a bottle off their shelf. It's pricey but a fun and casual place to hang out at. When the weather is nice, it's great to sit outside with a view of the waterfront. read more

So this is such a cute wine bar to hang with your fellas or ladies. We went for a friend's birthday after dinner in a Sunday evening and practically had the place to ourselves. Everyone got wine flights some red some white oh and we had the truffle popcorn (So Good)! The service was great and the service let me sample to ensure I would like the wine I selected. V-NO is a fells point staple - I've been coming here since the pandemic when Karen used to be the general manager. I was drinking a lot of conventional wine then and this was a great spot to find some good bottles. I stopped going as much in the last few years. Since May 2024, the general manager has changed to Di and she's magical. I went in June and in December and she's added a whole new menu and some natural wines to the offerings and they most recently won Best eggnog in fells point. I have to say the eggnog was spectacular - they are offering it still (January 2025 at the time of this review). Every Tuesday they have a wine tasting and Fells point neighbors get 10% off. The price point is a little higher because of the location, but honestly, this is the best eggnog I've ever had in my life. read more

Great location. Chill setting. Vibrant decor. Service was attentive, staff are friendly. Good selections of wine, seasonal items. They do have a limited food and snack menu which is nice. Everything was reasonably priced. Parking: mainly street parking We enjoyed sipping wine in the outside seating area while relaxing by the water. Super cute little wine bar. Guests are able to sit outside and enjoy the wine. You can get either a glass or a bottle. The bottles are a little on the expensive side but they are delicious. Great wine bar with a waterfront view, perfect for a weekend afternoon to lounge. We went during happy hour and got wine and chips, and it was lovely. My only complaint was that they were out of alot of the happy hour menu, including the red and white wine and the meat and cheese board, which kind of negated the point of having dedicated happy hour menu. My friend and I split a bottle of wine here for the evening. I have been to V-NO Wine Bar a couple of times and have had a wonderful experience. The ambience is impeccable being on the wharf and the service is good. There are a variety of wines to choose from. What I love about V-NO is that it is truly a Baltimore business and you will not get this experience elsewhere. I recommend all Baltimore individuals and those visiting try it out. Certainly my friends coming from out of state loved the place! read more

I really enjoyed my experience at V-No the other day. I rated the food a 4, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5, so after averaging it out, that's a 4.8, which is why they're receiving a 4. I love its beautiful waterfront location and outdoor covered seating. The frose was delicious and the burrata was amazing! I loved that the toasted bread had garlic on it (great touch) and that the burrata came with pesto. The pizza was pretty good but the bottom crust was a little burnt. The service was good and there was nice selections of wine. I'd definitely come back and and try some other wines. I highly recommend this place for a chill and relaxing outing to enjoy some wine and nice bites to eat. read more

This is a pretty good place to grab a drink or open a bottle. I love sitting out on the patio in the summer time as the people watching is top tier! I always find it better to share a bottle with friends than drink by the glass. They have a decent selection of wine and bubbles and recently stopped charging a corkage fee when you dine in and that alone will have us opening more bottles and staying longer. They also have a full bar but I haven't really had more than shots from the bar, I don't know that I expect them to be expert cocktail makers but typically they have really good wine suggestions. Food wise its a hit or miss rather they have items available but honestly its more of a wine bar than anything else so I don't really ever go expecting food, its always just a nice surprise when they have it. read more

My cousin and I met here two Fridays ago for a drink and sat on the outside patio. Lovely view of the water, enjoyed people walking by, and a view of the street. The patio was rather quiet and they allow dogs. We ordered a bottle of Moscsto that we shared, and chips. The waiter was pleasant, but he did not check on us often. We did not eat, and we were only there a couple hours enjoying the awesome weather. Our wine was served chilled, and he poured our first glass. We could not find anyone for a while when we wanted to pay and leave. My cousin had to carry her dog inside to look for someone. I would go again and try the food next time. My cousin says the cheeseboard is amazing. She lives near there and goes often. That was my first time. read more

My partner and I came by on one of the hotter days this summer and sat outside. It wasnt terrible because we sat in front of one of their outdoor fans and being right next to the water was nice. We ordered the Burrata plate without pesto due to an allergy and they were a easily able to accommodate us. I ordered an orange wine and my boyfriend ordered a red, both were delicious but I can't remember their names. I'd love to go back and check out the inside and the other wives they have to offer. read more

This is an incredible wine bar with amazing scenery. We ordered a bottle of wine for the three of us. Seating is on the pier of Fells Point in Baltimore. The staff was very attentive and ensured we had what we needed at all times. This wine bar has an excellent selection of wines. I highly recommend this establishment if you're visiting Baltimore/The Fells Point area. read more

Challenging rating because I didn't try the food. However, didn't want to miss a chance to say something positive. This is a cute little spot with plenty of outdoor space. They've built out into the cobblestone street for added spots. Limited menu with what you'd expect from a "wine bar:" cheese plates, charcuterie, Mediterranean plate, chips, and truffle popcorn. They have two pizzas, Margherita and Prosciutto/Arugula Soft music adds to the ambiance. Oh, with the name, it appears as V-NO on Yelp and Google Maps. However, the name is Vino. Their logo uses a wine bottle for the "i" and this may be a gimmick or simply have dropped off. However, their listed website is wwe.v-no.com. They "deliver to your door." Great little spot in Fell's Point. read more

I came here for a nightcap with my boyfriend and absolutely enjoyed it! We had a few glasses of the house Pinot noir and throughly enjoyed the ambiance. The service was 10/10, with staff recommendations & overall attentive service! The truffle popcorn was a great snack while we sipped & talked. read more

Disclaimer, this review is not based on their wines. I went to their galentines brunch/cruise event and had a wonderful time! They hosted another business that provided the brunch, it was French Toast Connection and it was delicious! The tickets came with brunch and one drink. The event coordinator was super nice and friendly. I showed up with 3 tickets but only 2 people, and they let me have the extra drink ticket for the person who didn't show up. On the boat, they gave out free champagne and really delicious rum soaked cupcakes, chips, and water bottles. The boat ride was SO fun and there was good music and dancing, we had a blast! Definitely look out for their future events, they know how to party! read more

Expensive and hardly worth a stop. The name says it all. V-NO. I was pretty disappointed with the amount of wine you get in a glass. Typical size wine glass was not even filled 1/3 of the way. A single can of seltzer was $6. Location is key and its a nice little spot and pretty chill inside but the price is high and servings fell super short. The wine was good, but again kind of a rip off. The wine wasn't aired, there was no option to smell or taste it first. The lady was super nice and the atmosphere was pretty by the water, but I'd rather get a glass in one of the restaurants nearby. read more

Review based on wine tasting event experience. What a fun, casual place to enjoy a glass with a view on the waterfront. Came here for a wine tasting and it was not only fun, it was educational. We met the owner of an Italian vineyard and the owners of this wine bar. The owners are really friendly, down-to-earth and passionate about their business. 4.5 stars for an unexpected waterfront find on a sunny spring day - when it seemed that all of Baltimore sought to eat and drink outside. Wait times elsewhere crept over an hour and we fortunately stumbled on this spot. The location is right on a pier in the bustling and historic Fells Point neighborhood. The wineshop inside ensures that you'll find a good glass of wine. Surprisingly good light food options complete the experience. We had sparkling rosé at our waterside seats, followed by a decent Mediterranean sampler platter with hummus, pita, and grape leaves. The piece de resistance was an excellent pizza. We chose the prosciutto and arugula option, but they were out of arugula. No matter, this was a great prosciutto pizza. Pleasant waitstaff were slammed by the busy day. The seating process was disorganized, but food and drinks still came out quickly. It took a while to pay, so we went inside and found a couple of well reviewed and beautiful bottles of wine to take away as gifts. Nice spot here, B'more! read more

Established in 2008.

V-NO was founded in 2008 by Mark and Kristina Bachman as a neighborhood hang out for wine lovers and collectors. In 2018 it was purchased by Jill and Joe Valeri and Jenny and Paul Houser, with the intent of keeping the homey, neighborhood hangout in place while modernizing the interior to fit the times and, to add an online store and wine club to expand the business offerings.

Meet the Business Owner: Joe V.

Joe Valeri is a serial entrepreneur having retired from over 2 decades in the tech industry after selling his last company. Joe and his wife and co-owner Jill are wine lovers and foodies, who fell in love with V-NO the first time they came in and were thrilled with the opportunity to buy it along with their close friends Jenny and Paul Houser.

I had an opportunity during the week to stop in during lunch as I have had this on my "to go" list…read more I was able to get parking right at the restaurant without an issue; but be mindful this is not possible most days and times. Parking is tight around this area. The restaurant did not have signage viewable directing to the entrance. Entrance is through a terrace area in which there is outdoor seating and great vibing view (on a cooler and better day then this partucular day with temperatures over 100°. Entrance was made at the lower level(bar area) and greetings were made from the bartender. I then walked up the stairs to the hostess desk and was greeted again by the young lady. We were seated in a formal dining area. This is a casual to upscale dining experience. I was dressed not so casual but was not feeling out of place as it was not a lot of people inside. One large seemingly work group dining together. Hostess/waitress placed refreshing cold glasses of water on the table. I needed to wash my hands before my dining experience and meal. I asked the hostess/waitress for the location of restroom. She guided me to such. While walking to the restroom, I was able to see multiple food prep areas (open kitchen stove area, guy in another sections rolling and prepping raw ground meatballs another guy in another area. All food areas seemed neat and clean. Employees also using food prep gloves. I finally got to the restroom. Immaculately clean and smell fresh. The decor was warm and continued the asthetics of the restaurant. When I came back to the table I looked over the simple and minimalist menu. Its not overwhelming with a lot to chose from. The waitress explained the menu and when it came down to the pasta dishes she expressed the size of the half vs full. Her described portion of half was the size of a handful and the full was that of two hand fulls. I chose the bolognese (half), meatballs, and my dining guest chose a caesar salad with grilled chicken added. We decided on no other beverages beyond the water. The food came out quickly. The described size portions were as such. I was thinking the size would be not as small as it was. For a grown man or someone hungry, the half portion will not be filling. The salad came out portioned as the pasta. A handful of caesar with a large uncooked chicken breast. The meatballs (3 total) was a great portion. I found my bolognese and the meatballs to be on the side of a bit salty. My dining guest found the salad to be on the salty side as well. I enjoyed the ambiance and calm dining area but the food did not wow me. From the portions, to the taste and then the price. The caesar salad was $17 and $11 for the chicken breast that was not proportion with the hand full of romaine placed on a plate and uncut was too pricey ($28 total). They charge a 3% facility fee on to the check. Paying $80 for this experience was not justified. I am able to knock this off my list of "to go" I may take another look at coming here again but I for now will not consider anytime soon due to my first experience of the salty food. Other than the taste and portion its not a bad vibing experience.

Yesterday I realized a mistake on my bank account from the bar charge, so I called around 6 pm and spoke to the same gentlemen as before. He got all my info and promised he'd call back in 5 minutes. I didn't really expect 5 minutes because I know how crazy the dinner rush would be at an Italian restaurant with a Wednesday wine special. Not even 3 minutes later he called back, and explained what happened, fixed it and I got a follow up text immediately letting us know the refund was already in process. Now, I've been in the service industry and I was a bartender, so I understand that I'm going to be a little biased here but from beginning to end Benny's went above and beyond. They clearly appreciate their customers and love their work, it shows.
