The whole experience from quote to completion was outstanding. Their quote may have been a little higher than others we received however they did everything, where as others would not. Communication was done via e-mail so everything was in writing and could be referred back to. It was so nice to hand them our keys this spring and come back this fall to a new kitchen and ceilings. We had a few phone conversations throughout the remodel and they provided photos of their progress. Upon our return we found a very clean house (popcorn removal is a messy job) and just a couple of very minor details which were promptly addressed. We delayed having cabinet pulls and a light installed so we could match them to the finished kitchen. We were so glad we did as this gave us an opportunity to meet a couple of the nice guys that had done much of the work. We were able to see first hand how carefully they prepped and covered the work area to protect things and skillfully worked on putting the finishing touches to our beautiful new kitchen. We took a chance by not being here to keep tabs on the work but felt comfortable after reading previous reviews and after meeting Thomas and his crew. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This gave us a large utility room with a closet, sink and storage. We also moved a wall, giving us a larger dinning room and a separate TV room, replaced a glass sliding door with a single French Door. They also replaced the tile and carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring, installed ceiling fans and can lights. All doors and casings were replaced and painted along with the whole interior of the home. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We really appreciated Lindsey's suggestions when picking out countertops and stain for the laundry room cabinets. Per our contract timeline all the work was done in the time frame presented to us. The work crews always informed us on what they would be working on each day. They were presentable, friendly and polite. You could tell they took pride in the work they were doing. We prefer smaller local owned and operated companies. With those factors in mind I found Platinum Exteriors was very highly rated. Like insane ratings, so I checked on our neighborhood Facebook page to see if anyone had used them. I found that multiple had and all highly recommended them. I reached out about a month ago through Facebook and the response was lightning fast. After answering a few questions I was given a price quote. I thought it was very fair. Trusting the quality reviews and my neighbors experience I moved forward with an appointment. After scheduling I found out I needed approval from my HOA. I submitted the forms hoping our scheduled date could be met. I would message every so often to check in. My questions very promptly and kindly answered very quickly each time. The approval came just in time. On paint day the crew did our 2 story pop outs and garage door first. They showed up the next morning and finished the job by evening. The crew and owner had great communication. The work was done both efficiently and very thorough. The attention to detail and clear experience painting was great to see. They moved the rocks away from the house to get complete coverage. My wife had a few special painting requests and they accommodated all of them in a kind and respectful manner. UPDATED Review: The…read moreteam reached out to me previously and offered to fix the issues. In our conversation, Rubi assured me that they will fix whatever is wrong with the project. I was hesitant because she said that one day would be enough to do it. When Gilbert arrived, he was by himself (unlike previously when he had an assistant) and said he would take care of the issues. I asked him if he can sand and stain the areas instead of painting in one day and he said it would take more than a day to do that. Given other circumstances, I really needed to reclaim the room that was being worked on and more than a couple of days of renos is something I couldn't do anymore. So I reached a compromise of him smoothing out some of the surfaces and painting instead of staining. Not what I wanted 100% but it is growing on me. I want to highlight that Rubi and Gilbert are genuinely nice people that would be willing to work with you regarding your project. Generally speaking, closing the loop in communication probably would have prevented mishaps. I can't give the 5 stars just because it is not what I had envisioned, but had the circumstances had been different and I had the ability to give their team more time to do exactly what I wanted, I truly believe they would have delivered a 5-star service. We also had a few other areas addressed but these were the major changes. Tom, the owner of Albrecht and Son, came out and sketched our a plan for each room. The remodel was a long and tedious process but we made it through. I was impressed with most of the workers (the superintendent needs a vacation) and the completed work was very, very nice... except the counter tops in the kitchen. Lee's Tapps Counter Tops, LLC installed the granite. Our selection came from the showroom at Albrecht's but the actual rock came from Tapps. They installed it and then they left. For weeks afterwards, no matter how many times I cleaned it, there was a gritty feeling on it, morning, noon or night. I reported this but Tapps never offered to replace it. Instead they simply implied that it was either dirty or it was my imagination. Eventually, I stopped talking about it. When the entire remodel was done, and everyone was paid, Tom asked me if I was happy. He really wanted me to be happy. You have to love that guy. I told him that every time I ran my hand over the granite, I cried. He then set me up with a different company and let us select the slabs of our choice. I know he lost money on this deal but I have to give him credit. He is a true professional and I recommend his company without reservation. I would have given them 5 stars but the superintendent's attitude and the cabinet makers lack of concern about the "little things" deserve the loss of at least one star. Trust me, if you are honest and up front with Tom, he will take care of you. I've posted a few pictures of the end results. I would not place my trust in AZ West Painting under any circumstances. The painting for my project…read morewas scheduled to commence first thing next week, but Chris decided to cancel our verbal agreement at the last moment, all due to a misunderstanding with the contractor, who has also been quite troublesome. After a phone call with the contractor, Chris voiced his concern regarding my payment(s) to the contractor for a city requirement before he could initiate the painting, essentially accusing me of failing to pay the contractor for the project. To begin with, you do not have the authority to dictate when I should pay for a service that you are not delivering. Furthermore, he was unaware that I had already completed two of the four payments for the project, and instead, he immediately took the contractor's side. Chris accused me without taking the time to verify the facts or engage in a mature dialogue about the situation, and instead insisted that I resolve this issue with the contractor. I tried to clarify that I had already made the necessary payments to the contractor and expressed my confusion at being accused of this, offering to provide proof of payments, to which Chris replied, "Okay, I'm out. Good luck." I find this behavior to be exceedingly rude and unprofessional. How ironic that they advertise Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed on their website. Business 101: Customer service should be provided before, during, and after the purchase of a service. I will certainly not be reaching out to AZ West Painting for any future projects.

Once again, Life In Color has proven to exceed our expectations for quality of work and customer satisfaction. We were very happy to have Henry provide us with a very reasonable quote, and he managed the project beautifully and provided consistent and timely communication throughout the process. We were even able to get the work completed a week earlier than planned! Johanne was the amazing guy who did all the prep work, painting, and clean-up, and we were blown away by how hard he worked and the very professional job he during his three days here. He was pleasant to communicate with, and was very happy to immediately do a couple of extra caulking and touch-ups per our request on the last day. Henry did the "final" walk-through with my husband and I, and when we contacted him a day later with some touch-ups that we had not noticed during the walk through, Henry came back to our home without hesitation, and is sending Johanne back out in the next couple of weeks to complete the touch-ups we requested.
