We recently had our kitchen remodeled by Interiors By Thomas including lighting and removal of the popcorn ceiling throughout the house. The whole experience from quote to completion was outstanding. Their quote may have been a little higher than others we received however they did everything, where as others would not. Communication was done via e-mail so everything was in writing and could be referred back to. It was so nice to hand them our keys this spring and come back this fall to a new kitchen and ceilings. We had a few phone conversations throughout the remodel and they provided photos of their progress. Upon our return we found a very clean house (popcorn removal is a messy job) and just a couple of very minor details which were promptly addressed. We delayed having cabinet pulls and a light installed so we could match them to the finished kitchen. We were so glad we did as this gave us an opportunity to meet a couple of the nice guys that had done much of the work. We were able to see first hand how carefully they prepped and covered the work area to protect things and skillfully worked on putting the finishing touches to our beautiful new kitchen. We took a chance by not being here to keep tabs on the work but felt comfortable after reading previous reviews and after meeting Thomas and his crew. Interiors by Thomas just finished a major remodel at our home in Sun City. Our remodel consisted of enclosing the laundry room that was open in the garage. This gave us a large utility room with a closet, sink and storage. We also moved a wall, giving us a larger dinning room and a separate TV room, replaced a glass sliding door with a single French Door. They also replaced the tile and carpet with Luxury Vinyl Flooring, installed ceiling fans and can lights. All doors and casings were replaced and painted along with the whole interior of the home. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We really appreciated Lindsey's suggestions when picking out countertops and stain for the laundry room cabinets. Per our contract timeline all the work was done in the time frame presented to us. The work crews always informed us on what they would be working on each day. They were presentable, friendly and polite. You could tell they took pride in the work they were doing. Our experience from start to finish was what we expected. If you're considering a remodel, big or small I would recommend Interiors by Thomas. You will not be disappointed! read more

Not recommended. We hired Interiors by Thomas to remodel our bathroom shower. We paid a deposit of almost $4,000 for a total job price of about $19,000. They were a bit higher than other bids we received, but we went with them because they offered "bubble glass" for the shower--the others we received bids from did not offer bubble glass. Interiors by Thomas had a sample of the bubble glass in their showroom and my wife loved it. A few months went by and then a few weeks prior to the installation date, someone from the company contacted us and informed us that they no longer have access to bubble glass and we would need to come down and pick out new glass. I told them I would talk to my wife, but we would probably need to cancel then, as bubble glass was the only reason we went with them. (At this point we had already spent another $800 plus out of pocket on things like the shower head and controls that were not covered by the contract) Thomas then called and told me his supplier no longer carried bubble glass so we needed to pick out new glass. I told him I would talk to my wife but we would probably need to cancel then, as my wife really wants the bubble glass. I pointed out that I found several suppliers online that have bubble glass and he told me, without even seeing what I was referencing, that the glass I was seeing was different and I didn't know what I was doing. I said, well, we'll likely have to cancel then. He said, cavalierly, oh, you can cancel, but you won't get your deposit back. I told him there was no need to be a jerk about it. He then exploded, yelling over and over in the phone "Don't you call me that," Don't you ever call me that." I mean, the guy was literally screaming. So I told him, now you're being an a-hole and the way you are acting I would not want you touching my house. He then screamed "Your contract is canceled" and hung up. Literally minutes later he sent an email accusing me of threatening him and his workers, even though that never happened--it seemed to me to be a canned email that had no relationship to reality that he has likely used in the past to justify similar bad behavior on his part--see review on this site from Jose M that outlines similar behavior. They refuse to return our deposit, claiming that the deposit was just to reserve a spot on their schedule. The contract they use requires that the parties first go to mediation before filing a lawsuit. I have requested mediation several times. They refuse, so now I'll be filing a lawsuit. Oh, and they had the gall to send me a "final bill" showing I still owed them money, supposedly for materials that they ordered but allegedly could not return. And the "final bill" notes that it includes "profit." I asked for a breakdown, and invoices from the suppliers for stuff that supposedly could not be returned. They refuse to supply it. So, unfortunately, I will be filing a lawsuit and we'll need to let a judge sort things out. In my opinion, be careful. If things go smoothly, these guys might be fine. But if they do not, you might be in for a rough ride. read more

Interiors by Thomas did a beautiful job renovating our master bathroom and kitchen. Also, IBT replaced lighting fixtures, fans and flooring. Tom's design advice and suggestions were excellent. His experience as a contractor is exceptional. Their crew takes great pride in their work and it shows. I appreciate the care and attention IBT gave to our project. Our trust in IBT was well placed. We couldn't be happier with our Media Wall just completed by Tom and his crew. They came everyday,provided dust control, cleaned up the worksite every day. and finished in a timely manner. The crew was geat and friendly. The guy in charge, Alvor was very knowledgeable, kept us updated as the job progressed, and answered all of our questions. I have always believed in hiring close to home. Big mistake thinking like that! I should have researched Interiors by Thomas more thoroughly and his workmanship and hands on way more carefully. The whole time the new cabinets were being added and painted, never once did Tom come out and check his crew or even call to see how things were going. Yes there were major problems and it took 2 weeks to get corrections made. Unsatisfactory business sense and attitude from Thomas. No, I will not recommend this business, I truly feel he needs to learn how to deal with people and to sit with the client before said project is started so items can be corrected in the beginning. read more

Interiors by Thomas was recommended by a friend, who had preceded us in this same move, and we couldn't have been more impressed. One thing that always bothered me with the contractors we hired in the past is that they would disappear for several days at a time. We are redoing the floors in our home and putting cabinets in a spare bedroom to create an office/craft room. We expect to spend $20,000-30,0000 I had to call 3 times before I reached someone (no one returned my calls) Then I was told they charged $75.00 to come and look at the job and give an estimate. Interiors by Thomas did a major remodel for us including the entire kitchen and both bathrooms which included granite countertops throughout, new lighting, new tile flooring, floor to ceiling tile in our new showers and new vanities and lighting in both bathrooms. They estimated the work would take 6 weeks which is exactly what it took. Tom was very helpful in making suggestions and helping pick out materials. He oversaw every aspect of the job. His people are very professional and very respectful of our home. Alvaro is Tom's lead man and a jack of all trades as well as a delight to be around. Carl, his tile man is a perfectionist and a real craftsman. Ray his paint supervisor does excellent work and the office staff is helpful, knowledgeable and communicate well with customers. We moved here a year and a half ago to a beautiful home, that I truly did love, but it had blue and pink tulip wall paper on the kitchen walls. that just had to go! And, the color of the cabinets didn't match the color of the granite counter tops. After getting several quotes, none of which would do it all (remove wall paper and paint, add crown molding, paint cupboards), Interiors by Thomas gave me a turn key quote, which was even lower than some of the other bids for just part of the job. They were here a week and made magic happen in my kitchen! Every crew member was professional, polite, and skilled. Tom was involved in every part of the job, from helping me choose the colors to work with my granite, to coming to inspect the finished job. I want to share my negative and unpleasant personal experience in dealing with the owners, father & son ( Thomas and Ronnie Nitz). They were late 45 min to the estimate appt, they took over 2 weeks to submit their proposal for painting my kitchen cabinets and media wall. My simple media wall shelf was quoted closer to $5000, extremely high cost and way more expensive than I was expected and promised. The only way for me to contact them to review & discuss this, was going through their customer service dept. After several emails, I was informed that they provide in store consultation to discuss, review and revise proposals on Monday 11-12, Wednesday 11-12 and Friday 11-12 or 1-2. On my consultation appt date with Thomas, he informed me that he would not refund the full deposit for his rental property to my girlfriend as he had promissed verbally and by text message. I was very much surprised by his sudden change of decision and broken promises and it made me question his integrity in business practices. I let him know my confusion, discontent, disappointment and my decision not to proceed with the contract. Immediately everything turned badly by him acting very rude toward me and demanding very loudly to leave his business and saying that there is nothing else to discuss and simply to get out. Thomas's unexpected & unprofessional reaction was suddenly noticed by a couple of his employees and a walk-in customer. After I questioned his behavior and negative reaction and we argued back and forth for a few moments, unexpectedly he and his son Ronnie physically approached me and placed their arms on my back and escorted me out of the store. Due to their inappropriate acts, I filed a police report. I very much regret to say that this is the result of my mistake by not doing the right thing of checking & researching this business online for reviews, business reputation and business profile. I found out online that this company has real trouble staying up-to-date on their social media channels, especially when it comes to addressing the customer service aspect. They are not an accredited BBB member, maintaining a C+ rating with two complaints with one unanswered. They have not replied to some of the other several online (good and bad) customer reviews. This is a signal to customers that this company not only doesn't care about their opinions and feedback but, also doesn't value their contribution to the business. Definitely choose somewhere more professional, with more experience, more open and upfront about what's being done and not just out to make $. There are better shops in the area, I already hired one close to them that I am very happy with. Please save yourself a trip, headache, trouble and hassle coming to this place. I called him, and he gave me some price quotes for painting some doors, and the prices seemed fine. I was really considering hiring him. I also asked about painting my kitchen cabinets. No quote mentioned because he stated he needed to come assess the current condition first. Sounds fair and understandable. Then I asked him if he can come over and look to give the price quote. He said the appt would be free of charge when I asked him if it would have a cost. Sounds great. He asked where I lived. I told him.
