Nice. Student friendly. Takes less time to prepare. Food is good as well. Student deals are good.

Bringing infant sized servings to the table is not appropriate for grown adults. We were in disbelief. I specifically pointed to a picture on the menu which looked like a normal sized adult plate. I was appalled when our kind server brought the tiniest bowls.

Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for desi, vegetarian, or Mediterranean cuisine - the menu is vast! Also, I learned from my in-laws who are locals in the area that this restaurant has been around for a while and perhaps wasn't doing too well in the beginning (hence some not so great reviews from a few years ago), but they seem to have revamped it and bounced back beautifully with great service and food. There's also even an attached banquet hall now that is a good size and quite nice with catering from the restaurant available for events. The person waiting our table was named Meena and she was wonderful and very helpful.

Stopped in for dinner and was very pleased with the whole experience. Made a reservation (maybe not…read morenecessary) but it filled up so I would recommend. Cool spot that they have. Kitchen is an open concept in the back right of the restaurant. Big bar in the middle and tables/booths throughout. Went with some friends, so we ordered a fair amount of food to try. We ordered the hummus with lamb, the crispy potatoes, falafel, and the mixed grill. Before getting into the food, quick shout out to our waitress. She was amazing. Very attentive without being too much. Walked us through the menu. Was patient with us. I would have gone back for that alone. The food rocked. The hummus with lamb was my friends' favorite. I thought it was very good. Ample serving as well. That goes for everything. No skimpy servings. Almost $20 for hummus with lamb seems a bit pricy but well worth it. The crispy potatoes were very good. The jalapeño added a little kick which opened up the sinuses. Would order again. The falafel was the best I've had. Perfectly fried. Very nice flavor. Could have just eaten those all night and been extremely happy. Finally, the mixed grill was great. It came with chicken, ribeye, kofta, some veggies, rice, and pita. My one complaint would be that the pita was so soggy when it came because it was under the meat and some sauces which was a little unfortunate. Still a good pita though. The chicken was good. Nothing mind blowing. Nice char. My friends really liked it, so different strokes I guess. The ribeye chunks were nice. Solid medium rare-medium cook on them. Solid marinade/seasoning. Not chewy or fatty which was a bonus cause you never know with steak. Finally, the star of the show which was the kofta. If I go back, I only need kofta as my main. I'm not a huge kofta guy but this might have converted me. Grilled to perfection. The lamb was not too overpowering which can sometimes be the case. Very good portion as well (2 big pieces). Rice and veggies were standard. Nothing special; by no means bad. Highly recommend. Can't go wrong here. Curious how similar it is to Phoenicia in Bham (need to try that). 5 big stars.

Loved all the items we got. We shared each appetizer and entree. I'll add pictures to show the yumminess. And the warm most hand towels after the meal add a great final touch. Possibly the only downside is it was crowded downtown and valet was $20 as a result. But besides that, I highly recommend!!

Thankfully, the staff was very accommodating despite the number of unexpected guests/orders. A fryer was down and delayed those orders with fries. The time waiting was happily filled with the kids enjoying desserts from Carrot Cake with a Twist. Although many had never had Bucharest before, the group left completely satisfied having enjoyed their new experience. So grateful for the grace given to our group.

I went to Jefferson and I must say this is the 1st time in years that I am disappointed. My chicken shawarma for 10:30 am on a Saturday morning was hard ( the wrap tasted like it had been out since the night before ) to eat at 11:30 am. My salad had shredded feta, they changed from crumbled feta. I don't eat shredded, but for $1.00 up charge. ‍ I still will enjoy without any feta moving forward. My mouth was just watering for a fresh shawarma..... and I guess I need to eat when it is busy to get fresh... I even called my order in, I thought that would help bring that I have been using that number for years for Bucharest.
