    Chicken schwarma

Highly recommended ! The service was awesome. Abe is knowledgeable and friendly. He guided us through the menu, made some great food recommendations and also helped us with local sightseeing suggestions since we are out of town visitors. The food is delicious! We had fantastic chicken and meat schwarma plates. We also had a delicious boneless baby chicken platter. The salads were great too! The baklava is a great way to finish your meal if you manage to have room. If not, get some to go for later!

After 5 years now reopened, a total of 20 years. Congratulations Chef Brian

Oh Yeah what a fantastic story, after 5 years Covid closed many places that never returned. Now Byblos Cafe Grill reopened by Chef Brian , 20 years of success running three restaurants and mega Catering business. A favorite of ours, Love a great comeback story, corner of Cass and Palmer 20 years a must visit . My all time favorite Creamy Garlic Chicken OMG, nowhere makes it close to this. Truly a Addiction for over a decade for me, fabulous visit last week. Started with Marvelous Lentils Soup , Deep Fried Kibbie WOWED a explosion of flavor in each bite. Hot Puffy Bread straight outta the over with Hummus and Toum Garlic Sauce . January of 2010, Byblos was selected as one of "Detroit's finest restaurants" and invited to participate in Mayor Dave Bing's Inaugural commemoration titled "Celebrating the Best The Tastes & Sounds of Detroit". Other accolades include winning the title of "Best Chicken Shawarma", "Best Falafel" and "Best Hummus" at the 2014 Greater Detroit Shawarma Fest. Awesome salad. Great addition to any meal.

Went during a slow time right around 5pm. Atmosphere is cozy and simple without any significant decorations to distract. The fact there we no TVs is a major boost for me. The quiet ambiance is great for taking a break from the hustle of a normal day. Waitress knew the menu and made some great suggestions (like the mixed grill plate) and turn me toward the mango orange smoothie which would not have been a normal choice considering the winter season. Drink was good, though I've had better. The food suggestion was spot on however and while not for the standard college student, tasted great and came with plenty. Added with rice and salad accompanying the dish, made for a decent meal.

Hot Chicken and turkey bacon salad - lebanese salad with chopped chicken, turkey bacon, onions and dressed with honey mustard

Order the Hot Chicken and Turkey Bacon Salad. It's a lebanese salad in a honey mustard dressing with chopped grilled chicken, onion and turkey bacon. I ordered it without parmesean cheese to make it dairy-free and gluten-free. I ordered the small version which was huge and it was fantastic! Our service was on-point and she kept checking on us. This will be a staple for me when on campus at Wayne State University. It's super casual and you can eat alone, or dine with a group. Or you can order carry-out. It's right by the corner of Warren and Cass across the street from parking structure 6. Check it out!

The menu is Turkish and German fusion, which makes when you know how the doner kabob has become a German fast food staple. I've gone a few times now and had consistently great experiences. From the just the right level of eccentric inside, to the wide patio outside, the environment is comfortable and fun. Their food and cocktail menu changes often. There a few mainstays, including their doner options. Their lamb doner version is the only one I've found in the US I like (I have to remember to ask without peppers, not a traditional ingredient). Their cocktails are fresh, inventive, and interesting. I've tried a variety, and they do a consistently good cocktail. Supergeil is a reliable go to, good quality, reasonable prices, and great service. I'll be back for their patio season.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me to a beautiful Mediterranean garden, with its gorgeous tiled floors, lush greenery, and warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a refreshing escape right in the middle of Detroit's historic cobblestone streets. It was the perfect setting for a long-overdue reunion with my sorority sisters, and Supergeil was incredibly accommodating, hosting our group of 14 women in the middle of Grand Prix weekend without missing a beat. We kicked off the evening with a few appetizers to share, including the hummus, deviled eggs, and meatballs. Everything arrived quickly and was an instant hit around the table. The standout was definitely the hummus, served with fresh, homemade pita that was unbelievably soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The meatballs were also delicious, perfectly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. For my entrée, I ordered the popular lamb and beef döner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The portion was generous and beautifully presented, overflowing with crisp vegetables, fresh lettuce, garlic sauce, hot sauce, and the most tender, savory lamb and beef. Around the table, others enjoyed the Turkish ravioli with spiced beef and pork, more döner, and a variety of salads. Everyone loved their meals, and we couldn't resist passing plates around to sample a little of everything. It's the kind of restaurant that's perfect for sharing and enjoying with a large group. And what would a girls' night be without cocktails? If you're a fan of Two James spirits like I am, you're in for a treat. The bartenders create incredibly inventive cocktails from a seasonally rotating menu. I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered the Open Kettle, made with coffee infused Doctor Bird Rum, cola reduction, coconut cream, and Underberg. It was unlike anything I've ever had! It was rich, tropical, complex, and with just the right kick. It's an absolute must try. Another crowd favorite was the Purple Gang, featuring lavender vodka, lemon, and butterfly pea tea, which gave it the most stunning purple hue. To finish the night, we ordered all three desserts to share: the burnt sugar tres leches, strawberries and cream, and the hot brownie with cinnamon ice cream. My favorite was easily the tres leches. It was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the crunch of burnt caramel and the subtle sweetness of coconut, it was a creative twist on a classic dessert. The warm brownie with cinnamon ice cream was pure comfort and a chocolate lover's dream, while the strawberries and cream offered a lighter finish with sesame brittle and hibiscus, creating a unique combination that reminded me of an elevated granola paired with a glazed donut cream. From the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service to the creative cocktails and delicious food, Supergeil delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're planning date night, catching up with friends, or celebrating with a large group, it's definitely a spot worth adding to your Detroit restaurant list.

One guy seated at a booth on the phone and two ladies with their suitcase at another booth. Other than the 3 people, place was empty. Ordered carry out. crushed lentil bowl, chicken kafta, two sides: small hummus, small baba ghanouj, large fattoush salad with no pita. $38.13 Food takes about 15 minutes to be ready. Drove all the way back to the office. My chicken kafta looks to be lamb, not at all what I ordered. My large fattoush is covered in pita chips. Had to spend several minutes getting every pita chip out of the salad. It's good I am not allergic to gluten. They shove the dressing packet in the corner of the salad, so you get a bit less, that and the pita chips. Other than that, the salad was fine. I am quite disappointed the order is not right! The crushed lentil soup has a lot of rice in it, which is just filler to me. Has some clumps of something, may be rice and starch? It's too inconvenient to drive all the way back. Do be sure to check your carry out order before you leave the place. The crushed lentil is quite bland, not much flavor to it. Tastes some fennel, quite a few clumps of starch. The soup is more rice than lentil. I could count on one hand how many traces of lentil was in my bowl of soup. What in the world? My husband ate the lamb kafta, since I don't eat red meat. He said it was so-so, but rather dry.
