These guys rock!!!! Jacob and two crew members showed up on time on the worst day of the week (mucho snow & rain). They had to sit for 2 hours because I was late, the apartment complex where I moved screwed up the loading dock keys and I forget the keys to the locks on my two moving PODS from Cali (LA) to MD (Annapolis). The whole time, Jacob and his crew were cool and calm and said "hombre, no problema". Finally, after the delays, Jacob and his crew unloaded 2 large PODS in less than 3 hours!... The guys in LA took 5.5 hours to load the PODS and did less than the best job doing it. The LA guys were Russians and their English was relatively limited which was part of the problem, I should have sent the Russians on their way, but they did work hard, just not efficiently like Jacob and his crew. If Jacob and his team were working in LA he'd be the top man out there because these guys are good. Their price was more than reasonable and they even assembled my California King Bed which is a pain to assemble (ask me how I know!). Bottom line, I tipped them (combined) more than the contracted price quoted by Jacob a few weeks earlier when I was scheduling the move. They also do more than moving, I'm having them come back to put my flat screen TVs on the walls in my new apartment. Let's start by saying I can not recommend Jacob & OSSL Moving & Storage ENOUGH - fantastic customer service! I found them based on a tip from my new roommate - word of mouth is key, folks! After reading my furniture inventory, Jacob provided me a solid flat rate to move my one-bedroom apartment (contingent on me packing all my boxes beforehand). He & his two employees arrived a few minutes early on moving day and went to work! Easily & quickly moved all my stuff into the truck before heading to my new place (Con - since they had three people in the truck, I had to take an Uber to my apartment to meet them). At the new apartment, they swiftly moved everything in & even assembled my bed. The BIGGEST praise I can give is this: unfortunately, my couch wouldn't fit in the new apartment and my new apartment complex was not being helpful in letting me store it in the basement until I could find a seller. Hearing the stress in my voice on the phone, Jacob offered to store it in his warehouse until I found a seller. Not only that, he sent me a short video clip of it to help me sell it. Not only THAT - he delivered it to the seller!! What a God-send & a gem! Get to reserving their services quickly - because of my word of mouth, they're filling up quickly! Jake, Godfrey, and Bri were great! They showed up ten minutes early and were incredibly efficient with the move. In 4.5 hours, they had moved all of my stuff to the new apartment AND helped me make a pit stop at my boyfriend's house to do a couch-swap. When there was a mix-up with the scheduling at my new apartment and we had to share the loading dock / service elevator, OSSL took it in stride and, despite the hold up, still managed to quickly move all of my things. Without asking, they volunteered to take apart and reassemble my bed before and after the move too. Overall, they were so accommodating and kind the entire time. I've done many moves before and it's always been stressful, but because of OSSL, this one was pretty painless! Plus, I had done quite a bit of research on other moving companies' rates, and OSSL had the best rate with no strings attached. Many companies charge for miles driven, for example, but OSSL only charges by the hour. It was nice not to worry about all the "extra" costs that I was racking up during the move. 1 bedroom apartment in DC to another 1 bedrrom apartment bethesda. Showed up on time moved so fast. All three guys: Jacob, C, and Godfrey were nice and personable. I was just so shocked how fast they were able to move my things. Took down and rebuilt the queen bed what seemed like in an instant. So affordable and so quick I was very skeptical at first because all iver ever heard was the moving is always so terrible but with these guys I didnt have to lift a finger. I went over by 30 mins (all my fault) and didnt even mind paying the extra $50 because I literally thought they were so great! Made all my furniture fit in by much smaller bedroom and honestly I really love it! If any of my friends move I would def have to recommend them...and my friends would be ridiculously stupid if they choose not to use them. It was my first time moving and went to so perfectly. Everytime people ask "how was the move?" I respond GREAT! and they are so surprised. If you move in the DMV area you HAVE TO USE THEM! you will probably be sorry if you dont :-/ read more

These guys were absolutely AMAZING! They were timely, courteous, and hard working NONE STOP. They hiked the stairs to my apartment (about five flights) continuously until they were done about 3 hours later. They never once complained or asked for ANYTHING in spite of the extreme heat. However, I did offer them water periodically. During the move the owner called and asked to speak with me asking how were things and were they on time. I responded absolutely on time and the move was seamless. I certainly would recommend these guys to ANYONE I know who's moving and I also found out they also move out of state (so who's I had known). Again, great company with a courteous crew and very professional owner. So grateful companies like this STILL exist and aren't just in it for the money. I wish I could give them 100 stars. I moved from Atlanta to Philadelphia and was able to move on the 30th. Unbelievably, they were able to deliver my things the *next day*. You should expect 4-18 days for a long distance move. Karl and Godfrey were beyond awesome. Karl is probably the best driver I've ever seen. He was able to back into my narrow driveway with only inches on either side and navigate the narrow streets of Philadelphia. They were very careful and reassuring and nothing was damaged. I moved into an old, skinny townhouse with skinny staircases to the second floor and basement and they had no problem moving things there. The flat rate price was very reasonable and there were no hidden fees. There is a little room for improvement, but they may need a little help in the office. read more

My moving crew was on time (actually, they arrived a few minutes early!), and very professional, kind people. The process took a little longer than I anticipated, but it was mostly because of a problematic set of stairs that required Karl and Bri to unload everything from the rolling bins at the bottom and then reload it all again at the top. They were very careful with wrapping all of my furniture, too, which I know slowed things down, but I was glad for in the end, as my things all arrived without a scratch. I've used OSSL twice now and been happy both times! Being able to pay by Venmo made for an easy transaction, and Jacob was easy to communicate with in terms of confirming my move date and pickup time. These 2 guys worked their butts off. The contract called for 3 movers and 4 hours. I mover had truck trouble so we were down to 2 guys and one truck. We were on a 3rd floor apt moving to a ground floor. I anticipated a longer move and higher bill. Not so much. These 2 made the move in the scheduled time, nothing broken, stacked EVERYTHING in one truck with no mishaps. Then when called in for bill the office discounted the additional person as expected and the bills was extremely reasonable. I would use them again. Very nice guys and always professional and polite. Restored my faith in customer service. Just a reminder to those of you moving, although you hire these gentlemen remember they are doing an extremely physical job. Keep that in mind when you tip, have water for them and feed them. read more

I've moved my wife and I many times and will never do it again without a moving company after having such a great experience with OSSL. They showed up on time, prepared and with a great attitude. They assessed our property then made the right call on how to pack the truck. They got it all loaded quickly & efficiently without a bump or scratch on any of my prized possessions. As always you should take responsibility for how you pack your stuff. Use plenty of bubble wrap. I had some glass jars packed "glass on glass" but luckily they noticed and tipped me off to a potential disaster which is a testament to their professionalism and attention to detail. I moved during the busiest time of year July 2016, it seemed like every DVM moving company was booked and I had time constraints since I was moving across the country. OSSL squeezed me in into their schedule in between two other moves.They were on time, efficient and very well priced! They did such a good job on short notice moving my stuff into storage, I hired them again to move my stuff into a shipping crate a few weeks later. Again they showed up on time, price was excellent and very efficient that everything arrived in California exactly how they had packed it in Maryland - NOTHING SHIFTED! I chose another moving company over OSSL boy was that a big mistake. I was moving from the Midwest back to the DC area using another moving company, On the day of the move that other company came in and tried to double the Quoted price. The Initial Moving Company only took half of my items. I called OSSL in a panic on Tuesday needless to say this company came to my rescue and picked up my items on Thursday and had them in my new home in Maryland on Friday. OSSL helped me move to my new house last night and was perfect to work with. I first reached out about 6 weeks ago to hire them for Mid-June. When my moving date unexpectedly moved up two weeks they worked with me to reschedule. The night of the move they called to see if we would be ready an hour earlier (which we were and we didn't feel like it would be an issue if we weren't) and they moved our 1BR in under 2 hours including a long distance to our loading dock and a 20-minute ride. Nothing was damaged at all and everyone was very professional. I have moved several times over the past decade. Our move yesterday with OSSL was by far the best experience ever. Our 3 man team arrived early! We weren't ready (surprise, surprise), but the guys were flexible and just started with the things that were ready to go. They were courteous, moved quickly, and were gentle with all of our items. Jacob and his crew are fantastic! As a college student, I was looking for someone who would quote a reasonable price and efficiently move my furniture to a new studio apartment. Jacob did exactly that. They were very friendly and accommodating and had all the required equipment to transport my large TV and it's glass stand. Everything reached without a scratch and they even set up my bed for me. The only drawback was that they were over an hour late because the move before mine got delayed.
