I just wanted to express my extreme gratitude for the above and beyond move this furniture company did for me. I am located in Arlington, VA and found a designer sectional on marketplace for a low price I was absolutely in love with in Laurel, MD. Initially, I contacted a few companies on Craigslist and marketplace; either I didn't hear back within the day, they weren't available for days, or got very expensive price quotes that didn't seem feasible for one piece of furniture. I emailed and texted the Craigslist link for this moving company and heard back immediately by the owner, Rob, himself. He coordinated pick up for the next day and gave a set, very affordable price to deliver with a team and truck. Although the lady selling the sectional told me our original time was fine, she had something come up and couldn't follow through (honestly speaking, I think she found another buyer who was going to pay more). Rob personally took it upon himself to contact her, rearrange his schedule, and coordinate a later pick up time the same day so that I wouldn't lose the couch to another buyer. Again, I hadn't seen the sectional and was going off of the lady's word and posted pictures that it was like new condition. Upon arriving there, Rob texted me to confirm if I still wanted it since one of the legs was very loose but easily could be screwed tighter. He then texted me up-to-date times on when they left and their approximate arrival time with the sectional. It was late so I really didn't even expect him to have done much besides pick up and drop off. When he came to drop it off, I saw the entire large sectional was carefully wrapped as individual pieces and on furniture blankets. Him and his team slowly but diligently brought everything inside on a dolly and even set up the sectional. I know to the average person, these are things you would just expect from a moving company.... Until you actually deal with a moving company. I've personally moved so many times and used different companies and had a lot of furniture delivered from various brands. It's always the same issues... they take forever to reply, always have hidden fees, they never show up on time, and they claim things will be moved diligently but items always get damaged or dirty. I will admit I was really surprised at the white glove delivery service I received that I expected to pay triple the price for. Nope! Rob kept his word on the price and even gave me a receipt. I am a ninety-year old invalid and throughout my life I have believed in the essential goodness of humanity and its ability to progress in a world of harmony. This belief has been severely shaken during and after my moving experience with Robert Hager and his team of Go Getters. The manner in which they treated me was an abomination. Their disrespect for me and my possessions and their refusal to honor their contract and compensate me for the sheer havoc that they caused and the disruption in my life is thoroughly disgraceful. My friend and I engaged the services of Hager's Go Getters and this decision was one of the biggest mistakes that we have ever made. When they first showed up and we were ready to move into our new home Hager demanded that we pay cash. Does an honest businessman hold people captive by throwing them in a corner after days of preparation? This created great confusion and my friend had to run to a bank to get the money. Because they had a very small truck it took three moves to accommodate all our possessions, so the entire experience was a nightmare. But the story becomes even worse. My friend's gold pocket watch somehow "disappeared." My friend and I have some furniture that was severely damaged by Hager and his Go Getters. The most glaring example is my antique executive desk since it was shattered by these so-called professionals. This desk belonged to my grandfather while he worked at the Baltimore Sun for forty years. The famous H. L. Mencken used to sit with him at this desk and engage in countless conversations. It was bequeathed to me and because of Hager's ineptitude it will take a few thousand dollars to restore. I begged him and his crew to unscrew the hinges to take off the top, but they just callously ripped it off causing much damage. I also asked them to cover it with a quilt, as with the other furniture tops, but because they dismissed my request, all of them now have huge scratches and gouges. I recommend that anyone who wants to find a trustworthy moving company should totally avoid Hager and his Go Getters so you will not have to undergo the agony that he inflicts on honest people. read more

An Amazing Staff Team Gets the Job Done! My experience with the Go Getters staff was wonderful. All were easy to work with; they made it so easy to get a quote over the phone, set a next day appointment, and get the services we needed completed. I needed a large and heavy treadmill and other items delivered and placed in my basement. My home doesn't have sliding door access and the treadmill screen would not fit through the front door. After a few minutes of learning of the issue, onsite the staff were able to make it work by removing screen door and removing the top of the treadmill. The staff were professional, friendly, hard working, insightful, and willing to see the project through. I found the company online without any personal references but after talking to them, working with them, I can say it really worked out great and will be hiring them soon to do other projects around my home. If looking for a dedicated moving staff that gets the job done call them now! P.S. Since not as important as amazing customer service and staff competencies to get projects I needed done, I almost forgot to mention how budget friendly their pricing was too. read more

Had the pleasure of working with Robert and Herb on Saturday, July 8th for a local move of an 80~100 year old heirloom China Cabinet and matching Buffet. Even before the move, Robert (the owner of the company) was attentive and responsive to my questions regarding the need to blanket wrap + plastic wrap the items to protect them from damage during transit. He even asked me if I could possibly send pictures of the items that were being moved so he could plan appropriately. They charge a flat rate, which was a huge relief, since no one likes to be surprised by "hidden" fees that many other movers like to pile on. Go Getters is absolutely awesome! I needed to move my Goddaughter out of her dorm suite at HU. When we dropped her off, she had a few suitcases and a backpack. At the end of the year, she had enough for a 2 bedroom apartment. I realized we weren't going to be able to move ourselves. I found Go Getters and they were able to get me on the schedule the next day! They were fast, reliable, trustworthy, careful, and excellent in communication!
