All my boyfirend said was yes, take it off the bill and close us out. And he did say its not a free sandwich if I didn't eat it!! Too bad Jim Patrinos doesn't still own the business as he would be so embarrassed at what this primantis has become. The manager (Ryan) did come over, without us requesting, to address our experience. So clearly he was clearly alerted to our dissatisfaction. He apologized profusely, made a completely new sandwich, even though we said no thanks as we needed to leave, and comped part of our check that we had already paid. Obviously to anyone reading this, Primantis will only go so far for the consumer and must be in horrible financial straights since they should've comped the whole bill. What's two drinks to a company this size, right? Well, apparently they will go out of business if you get a extra slice of meat or drink to make up for them serving you what is unacceptable for any consumer. It will take a lot for me to visit a Primanti's in the future. Their food has been going down hill for years and barely edible.

Osso's has been around in Washington, PA for as long as I can remember and then a lot more. As a kid I can remember my dad always bringing those square cut slices in those thin white pizza boxes back to our house. At this point Osso's is somewhat of a local landmark I feel. Saying that, the past several times I've been there I have not been impressed. I call ahead for takeout and they say 10 to 15 minutes but they never actually start to make it until you show up. They should say 10 to 15 minutes once you get there. Calling ahead does nothing. The pizza itself is good. It will never win any awards, but it does have a very unique flavor that I have yet to find anywhere else. Not necessarily a great flavor, but different and I don't mind eating their pizza. It's simple pizza, cooked on a tray in a standard pizza oven with simple ingredients. Not the best pizza around by any means, but worth a try here and there. read more

Osso's has been around Washington, PA forever. It's one of those places that everyone knows, everyone's parents know, etc. The pizza itself I think is just okay personally, but it is very unique and you know exactly what you are getting. You can always count on consistency. I wish they had more topping options, and I hate the cash only thing because I usually only ever have my card on me. But like I said they have been around forever so whatever they are doing they must be doing it right. It's an open kitchen so you can see your pizza being made, which is kind of nice. The wait time they give you though is pretty much worthless. Any number they give you take with a grain of salt. The saddest thing is to be waiting around for your pizza and see person after person pick up their pizza and leave while you patiently wait for yours. But all in all Osso's is not a bad place for some slices. read more

Pizza is one of those foods that is very hard to say which one is better than the other. I can honestly say I have not had another pizza quite like Osso's. Definitely one of my top 3 pizza joints. The pizza is very simple but delicious! Simply delicious! They are small square pieces with 1 slice of pepperoni on each slice. If you order from here order a lot. Back to the beginning. While in high school, the "gang" used to walk to Osso's original shop after a football game. Have multiple slices and sit on the wall outside to eat those slices. Something about it... crispy crust, straight 6-1 sauce, as pure as it gets. This is one of those eat in the parking lot pizzas. It goes down hill quick the longer you wait. I found if you lay your toster on it's side and put a few slices in, its back to perfect in a minute. read more

Being from the area, I cannot believe I have never heard of this place before. I put it on my short list of places to try, and one day when out in the Monroeville area, I was finally able to stop. Like I said, the concept is simple. This place serves pizza. There is one size, and some toppings to choose from. At the time of writing this, pizzas are $8 and it is cash only. The price includes any toppings you want to put on. They are open Thursday through Sunday from 4 until 7:30. Orders are placed over the phone, and then picked up through the side/basement door of a normal residential house. We placed an order for three pizzas, and they were to be ready for pickup in about 30 minutes. We got one Pepperoni, one Mushroom and Onion, and one with Sausage and Extra Cheese. When we arrived, there was another person picking up, but our pies were hot and ready. The ladies working were quick and kind. The pizzas are truly so good! The crust is not too thick or too thin, and the sauce is a sweeter one. All of the pies we got we liked, but the sausage was a true winner for us personally. One pizza could easily feed two or three people, and they are cut into 8 slices. I cannot wait to have this place again. The pizza was great, the ambiance and entire operation give off everything that classic Pittsburgh is about - no frills, but a great product. Plus, you cannot beat the value.
