Very nice authentic Venetian cozy place. Family owned. Great food, friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced. Not touristy. Favorite place! Recommend sardines, homemade tiramisu.

This was one my greatest food experiences not only in Italy but perhaps everywhere. The place is cozy, the service was excellent and Maria the owner spoke Spanish which is my mother's language. The menu selection is very distinctive with real Venetian recipes, and no pizza by the way.

Was happy to have a chance to revisit this charming establishment a few days ago and had another great meal--with one minor hiccup! My sweetie tried to order the guinea hen entree and was served the liver and onions--not sure how that was miscommunicated and normally he would be too nice to send back a dish, but liver is the one thing in the world he will not eat. Turned out there was no hen available that day, he got the pasta & bean soup instead which I must say was delicious. A shared mixed seafood antipasti was as good as I remember, and so was my pasta dish. Still a very strong rec, just be sure to be clear on what you are ordering as language can be a small issue.

This place has an Italian pace(allow at least an hour for the meal) , do not expect fast food service, it is a typical trattoria. We went for both lunchtime, we had a squid ink spaghetti, razor clams and fried seafood dish, prosecco, and afternoon drinks when we had cicheti- bacalao and cream, beef tendon, fried octopus, aperol spritz, and other items. The food is average, the ambience is relaxed, authentic, price is fair for Venice,it is a tourist hotbed so it is as expected.

Scampi and Strawberry (yes, strawberries which is apparently a traditional Venetian dish) was such a unique and delicious pasta dish

I accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant walking back from Piazalle Roma to Rialto and it's a Gem. I am in Italy often and it was probably one of the best meals I've had in Italy. Authentic fresh good ingredient dishes. I'm so excited I found the restaurant. Had the vongole which was full of clams, a strawberry scampi pasta and and antipasto platter of sardine, octopus and sea snails that was so simple but yet so good.

A combination of a thunderstorm and an early dinner meant the place was empty, but Marco and other staff welcomed us warmly all the same. We had the antipasti Parmigiana Di Melanzane (fried eggplant with cheese) and enjoyed the mains Pasta Al Forno (baked pasta with beef and peas), Pasta Con Le Polpette E Salsa Di Pomodoro (spaghetti with meatballs - not pictured), and Turbante Di Pesce Spada "A Beccafico" (baked swordfish). These were also with the Casa Rosso wine and Birra Siciliana beer both blonde and red. All food was superb. The fried eggplant was flavorful and fresh, and the bread was crispy and savory. The baked pasta was rich, the spaghetti and meatballs were nostalgic, and the swordfish was delectable. Safe to say we all cleared our plates easily. We wish nothing but the very best for Marco and his restaurant. This food was some of the best we had on our two week stay throughout Italy. The atmosphere, staff, and of course the amazing food made for a great experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced homestyle Sicilian meal.

From the moment we arrived, the owner, Marco, made us feel genuinely welcome. He explained that the food is Sicilian and quite different from what you typically find in Venice, which was exactly what we were hoping for after days of similar menus. The menu is short, focused, and built around family recipes. We ordered the pasta of the day, the roast beef, and the smoked salmon dish, and every single item was fantastic. To finish, we had limoncello made by Marco's mother, and it was absolutely delicious. What really made the evening special was Marco and his family. They were warm, kind, and genuinely happy to share their story with us. We loved hearing about his late father and the lasting impact he had on both the family and the restaurant. One of the most memorable parts of the night was joining in the restaurant tradition of coloring pictures and exchanging them with drawings already hanging on the ceiling. We ended up taking home a picture created by a family member, and it will be making the journey back with us to Carlsbad, California. Without a doubt, this was the best dining experience of our entire trip through Europe. Highly recommended!!

The waiter is very friendly and invite us to have lunch, and menu price look reasonable so let's go for it. We ordered clam and mussels. So amazing and yummy, especially the soup! I really want to finish all of it. The scallop spaghetti is also very yummy. I love this place. Good vibe, friendly service, and most important is the food quality. 5 stars for sure. For dinner in peak season, try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very small. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated immediately inside and greeted warmly by the restaurant owner. We ordered a bottle of wine to start (most under 20 Euros for a 75 ML bottle). For appetizers we ordered the cheese with honey for 13 Euros, absolutely amazing! We also combined this with the local olive oil and fresh bread brought to the table to start as well. For our second course we chose two pastas, the Penne Alla Amatriciana (I think it was around 12 Euros), and the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (I think it was around 12 Euros as well). Both had extremely fresh homemade ingredients and were out of this world and extreme attention to care in the preparation. For our entree we split the breaded pork chop (I think it was around 20 Euros), including a side of potatoes (similar to the steak fries that you would see in the U.S.) The service was absolutely amazing and we loved dining alongside the owner and his family and meeting the cat that also lives at the restaurant and comes by to greet you during the meal as well. It truly was like you were dining at the home of the owner and is a must try if you are in Venice!
